the guy was a punk, your right when you say bullies need to get their ass beat, but (and i can tell you from expereance) when someone fights back they get in trouble to. when i was in middle school about 7 years ago now i saw a kid picking on a mentally challenged kid, so i went to help the kid out. that punk hit me in the face and when i fought back we were both taken to the principle, both of us were suspended. I was defending a kid who couldn't defend himself and i was suspended, fuck that!

The old man was done, but not intimidated, the black guy wouldn't stop.

this couldn't be more wrong. i have watched multiple videos on this where the old man was being interviewed and he was making up lie after lie. If you listen carefully to the video, you hear the old man say " how much would you charge me to shine my shoes" Yet he claimed he was talking about his brother shining his shoes for some funeral as the black man was walking by.

The black guy took offense, after interrupting the old guy's conversation with someone else. The old guy then asked how much he'd charge to do it.

Regardless of what was said, what was DONE was wrong. The black guy attacked him after he walked away.

Well, obviously the 67 year old guy has had a hard life. No question about that.

I can see how the young guy may have been provoked by his statements, but the old guy was letting him know that he doesn't get intimidated and won't take shit either. When he moved to the front the young guy made the mistake of thinking that he was a coward who couldn't defend himself. The lesson he learned is that you don't mess with Vietnam vets. They are crazy and they will fuck you up.

i watched the interview after along with the actual fight and what i found was that the younger man did in fact start it the comment about a brother shining his shoes is completely false if you listten he actually says i need my brother to shine my shoes.the younger man was obviously looking to fight so he heard what he wanted to and went on from there.

i agree with your points on the fight. What I want to do is point out the danger in supporting the white man even though I do agree with his actions for the reasons you described. To support what he did and say it is for everyone is making a grave mistake in my mind. A lot of people can't handle a situation like that properly while doing what he did and actually engaging in combat. For most people, a better option would have been to be even more submissive and try even harder to avoid a fight.
