I don't see any Street Fighter characters. But I'm not going to complain if there's not gonna be any. But what I'd like to see is all the EX characters, including Blair & Allen. And while we're at it, why not throw in all the Fighting Layer characters (though not likely to happen)?

SFEX was pretty much Arika vs Capcom, in everything except name.

These were original characters designed for the purpose of existing in Arika's version of the Street Fighter universe, which pretty much makes them Street Fighter characters - ones that belong solely to Arika to do with as they please, but Street Fighter Characters nonetheless whether they be in an off shoot or not. No?

@AkumetsuLord Just because Capcom doesn't own the rights doesn't make them any less SF. Kairi's backstory is intertwined with Akuma, Doctrine Dark's with Guile, Darun Mister 's with Zangief etc. etc. They are essentially and originally SF characters.

It remains to be seen if Akira is allowed to continue and keep these backstories. If not, then Akira may have to do some serious retconning. Only after that can they be considered non-SF characters and taken out of the EX continuity.

@StuntXL it actually does mean that and there's an easy way to separate the two games, by having their own storylines. For Example, King of Fighters and Fatal Fury/Art of Fighting, They have the same characters from those games but they have their own storylines that don't connect. So what if Rugal should be God Rugal cuz he killed Akuma or vice versa, then doesn't that mean he should be like that in his own titles? oh wait no...no doesn't it

@AkumetsuLord EX was already a seperate SF universe to begin with - but it was still SF. You're right, they probably will re-write most of everything; but only until they establish that they've done the retconning are they no longer SF chars.

Mario branching off from Donkey Kong doesn't mean that he never was a DK character to begin with. I'm not really arguing about whether the universe's could be separated or not, just that these characters are SF characters 'to begin with'.

@AkumetsuLord No they really are not SF characters at all. In terms of copyright they can't ever be in another Street Fighter came without Arika's permission. And no SF character other than the ones Arika created can be any of their gmaes. It's the same reason some characters from Super Mario RPG can't show up in newer Mario games without Square-Enix saying it is okay to use them.
