then he places a fork a spoon or a knife in front of you and tells you that you must choose one of the two or you can go next door to eat cause thiers nothing else on the menu

Any one on here who isn't pleased with George Bush, I have two questions, DID U VOTE? If you didn't,why are you on here bitchin? Not voting that means you either don't mind his policies or just dont give a shit. If you voted for him. Its not like you didn't know his intentions. If you voted against him, I'd say you got some damn good reason for feelin mad. You really wanna scare a polititian, VOTE! There's an American soldier somewhere right now, preserving that right.
That spiel is tired old propaganda. Those that don't vote have every right to complain about the voters and thier politicians who created the mess that we did not in conscience participate in. I'm sure there is a soldier somewhere right now, fighting for corporate profits. Let's be real honest, voting rights came about as a result of a common struggle...
Voting for corporate candidates in an undemocratic election, no thanks!
Gee AD then what do you suggest we do? Maybe we should all become AnrchyDavey nazis HUH? Kill everyone that disagrees with you? Including women and children?. After we encorporate and brainwash your Nazi like ideals, burn all books, fly your flag, kill more whom you distrust and you dont like, we put up YOUR picture on every street corner, We can listen to your tired old propoganda. Later when everyone is dead then it will just be you in your perfect world. OK?
so if I sit here in my living room in Norway I don't have a right to complain about the American Government? Besides, wether or not Bush is the president is besides the point.
I thought the editing was quite good. Even though i'm capable of sitting through the most sobering Chomsky analysis, I think it's sometimes a good idea to use the methods of the 'media spectacle' to draw people in to these ideas.
I wish I could have heard more of Chompsky was saying. The video and audio editing was horrible. It ruined the points Chompsky was trying to make. I wish I could find an unedited version of what he was saying. So I could really understand his message.
Good points, but the film editing is horrible. My eyes hurt from all the flipped Chomsky heads changing position every split second. The sound effects are equally annoying. What's the point after all: Chomsky's politics or video editor's stupid self-promotion?

My understanding of Noam Chomskys work is the exact opposite "if I had the capacity to be a good speaker I wouldnt use it" (NC rebel without..). One of the main points of Manufacturing Consent is to argue against the use of means of controlling thought through techniques of influencing emotion and attention. And young people from all over the world come and listen to his incredibly detailed and monotone speeches.
voteing is a funny concept as it stands
you goto a resturant and the waiter hands
you a menu on it is

or ice cold crap
then he places a fork a spoon or a knife in front of you and tells you that you must choose one of the two or you can go next door to eat cause thiers nothing else on the menu

as long as we use this electoral college system, voting only matters if you live in iowa, ohio, new mexico, or florida.

The point is to communicate to the younger generation and not to the choir.....Your theory of an "editor's self-promotion" is simply wrong...

Unfortunately, those are the exceptional cases, meaning educated and informed, not the general population.....
