I was going to ask why there's so many dislikes, but I get it now :) The animation is great, people are just having issues with the "Uncanny Valley" look it up on wikipedia!

Use File -> Render

Rendering to png sequence and encoding with avidemux to avi gives best results.

Right-click on the empty place in the Canvas window. You will get Canvas Window Menu. Select File -> Render. ^___^

Synfig is very powerful animation software. Yes, sometimes it leads to complexity. But for me it's a bargain, because at the end, producing any good-quality animation is time consuming. ~_^

If you look for simple solutions, try Pencil. BTW, it's a good tool to use it in conjunction with Synfig to make animation drafts.

*What* color? You mean iris? That's a trick learned from examples/eye.sifz (comes with SynfigStudio package).

hmmm.. synfig makes it look 3dish. my friend is studying how to use it now, so far he's only tried flash and pencil (software).

Its very nice to use Synfig together with Pencil. In Pencil we doing general draft animatic and after that making clean animation in Synfig.
