What makes a rotary pulse, is it the exhaust ports staying open almost instantaneously? e.g So if you had a Bridgeport and a J port the J port woud pulse more significantly because it is bigger?
@mxstar22 no, J port and D port is the shape of the bridgeport, J-port cuts into the water jacket which needs to be filled in. D port is just a common bridge port.
the sound of the idle is the massive overlap caused by the exhaust closing late and the intake opening early and staying open. a common half-bridge or full bridge-port is equal to a 280* cam with a decent duration on a piston engine
