  • street art is a coming culture. Its that what Punk was for the 60ies and 70ies

  • The many will build the walls. The minions will paint the walls that the many built. The many will take pride in a blank surface. The minions will see no pride in any blank surface unless they themselves have left some blood, sweat and tears to it. The many wave flags of FreeDUMB. The minions just go about their way, shaking their heads at the many, but quietly enjoying their Phreesmart. The many think they know truth. The minions however let the real authorization be known on the streets. phArt

  • Great video!!

But i have to say it was sad in a strange way!!

    All that great art buffed!!

  • I like it! Very beautifull! It's hard that a lot of things were washed away the last years..

  • hahaha poor basterds, it's contemporary stuff, never aspected to be there for a lifetime, enjoy it while it lasts!! And then make new stuff :)

  • i see frist the fun side and then the borring side /;

    i <3street art....

  • Is that a Dave The Chimp piece at the beginning of the video? :>

  • I especially liek streetart evry much, the most people between 25-80..don`t know anythign about this culture.! the most call it stupid names, like "scribbling"...ja, i except,, its scribbling, but the people who thought there were "cool" when they do it, are stupid ...but the people who sit in there rooms, and though of everyplace they can do it, and sit 5 ours on there ass and think of that, what they can do eg. spray oder tag on the next day or time, That`s what i call an "artist"

  • florian106.....you made no sense...at all....

  • @Florian106 That made no sense whatsoever.

  • sad..

  • my heart broke while watching thatt

  • that's why people tag in the city, and that's what the city hates. but when the city buffs your art, you go tagging..

    stupid city

    graff is takin over!

  • omg half of the pictures after cleaning theres just a pic of another building not thw builing with the art on it which supposed to be cleaned it's an other builiding!! btw Graff For Life!!

  • Its beyond me how people cannot see that this is art! In its purest forms! yes! street artist all over the world have to get active and stay active! for every one they take down put up TEN! gudluck to all street warriors! i hope to see your work around! hailiaX

  • It's beyond me... how can people not see that this is art! in its purest forms! Yes be more active! all street artist need to be more active! for everyone one they take down put up ten! ;) hailiaX

  • maybe because 70% of all people are idiots.

btw real art is dying anyways (just look the mtv charts and you'll understand what I mean)

  • i guess this means we have to be more active.

we have to put our art up even more i guess

  • pronto viajare hacia barcelona

  • wow, thats the saddest thing ive seen in a long time

  • sooo sad =(

  • that was pretty sad.

  • love street art!!

  • most of that shit was tight as fuck. It sucks what is hapenning thereeeee

  • omg they removed tht it looks so bland and just boring i like seening graffiti it brings a place alive

  • same shit happens in berlin. but on the other hand thats what street art is about: being there so long as somebody comes and tears it down.

however there is a thing called gentrification, and that's something different. it's the victory of capitalism...

  • you kno i walk around and i see graffiti in my town and i think nothing of it but then when i leave and come backe it lets me know were im at...... HOME

  • min.

  • Sad =(

  • god damn...the after parts look SOO boring..lol

    D=

  • no colour no freedom

  • so sad

  • Without the graffiti - the places have no personality.

  • that's so sad.

    DD:

  • damn it looks so boring after the graff is gone, nothing to look at =\ fools

  • Its a shame that street artists like The London Police and Flying Fortress spend a lot of time and effort creating art that makes the city a better place to be, but still a black wall is a fresh canvas for another innovative artist.

  • LP THE BEST!...groeten uit hollandiaaa

  • more like now and after!!!

  • just tagg over those spots aging

  • I kinda understand this though. I lived in Raval for 6 months in 2006 and i think there was just hte perfect amount of Graffiti now that certain areas are gentrified. There are still many places that are tagged up, but taggers are more respectful now, putting up art mostly on the store doors that come down at night, so u see a bunch of sick graffiti when the stores close down, so in a sense, it colors up the city when the sun comes down and gives it a more alternative feel

  • Nice opinion man!

  • well said

  • we don't need to "revolt and tear down the corrupt system for buffing our art work." pity them because they don't have what we got. yeah fuck the buffers and the corupt system but right now thats life. and all we can do is make or marks on the world by puting our words on the wall.

  • look peaple rise up we need to unite and fight the struggle not dify peaple and creae conflict ..thee must be a more structured way to fight this

  • look i dont see wat u guys are talking about i mean imagine a store ownere uses his last money and paints his store ..then some-one uses graffiti on it then the store owner looses his customers base ..casue they feel the store is a slum ...i myself love graffiti and do it ..but only in the right places.....it is inconsiderate to put your art before some-ones elses important work

  • I see alot of the london police.

  • Buffers are the criminals, they can't take away our freedom of expression.

  • Posats a fer neteja, potser valdria més que netegessin RENFE i Adif d'incompetents.

  • buffers deserve to be taken down one by one. violently.

  • wat a shame i couldnt even watch the whole thing. ITS ART PEOPLE!! paper isnt always big enough.

  • people gotta stay up

  • they make it borring grey and empty, just like it looks in ther minds! if you got nothing in your brain, than you want nothing on the wall that can maybe gif your brain something to thing about....poor sad people!

  • what are they doin?? fuck

if ill be there ill destroy all this wallz DESTROY KINGZ

1 saudo

  • puta limpieza¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • aua!

the video is nice but you must play it reverse!

  • Murder

    seven 7.

  • im crying

  • sick kick ... before years streets were like playground, now they`re killing art by building post-modernism buildings or new-age metal craps like skyscrapes and so on ... humanity bad, war good ... fuck that, there are still spots they [buffers] can`t reach ...

  • Wow... good skills. Sownds like Aphex Twin me finx.

  • interesting documentation!

  • thanks man!

  • song?

  • Why don't you guys go spray paint your own house? Raval, Barri Gotic and BCN in general are not your canvas. As a precedent, by positing on the internet his great master pieces notorious graffiti artist from NYC, KET is currently facing up to 30 years in prison for all the tagging and graffiti he has done in the city in the past 20 years...nice huh?

  • fuck joan clos!

  • Joan Clos is no longer in office you fucktard! Another guiri-xarnego not knowing his ass from the paint on the wall. Go back to York, or Liverpool, or Amsterdam.

  • this is sad :(

  • These people don't recognize that they're taking advantage of the poor by doing "street art" in their barrios, where enforcement is limited, resources are scarce, and city intervention is limited. Then they cry when the city tries to clean up the derelict hoods. If you have balls, go to San Gervasi or Pedralbes and paint. Cowards.

  • too bad the street art wer ilive is shit they could at least make an effort like some of those

  • What a shame... Just gotta keep on keeping on

  • f**kin' city's'ministration , they want to kill streetart and artists and make of barca , just a f****g touristic town !

  • that sucks man, it doesn't look as good, kinda looks shitty with out the art

  • darn that sux

  • this is the thing always happens to cities that have to much money - they start doing worse works - destroying art , kickin' homeless , killing alternatives - it's sad for barca

  • sad for barcelona? Then do it in your own backyard. all these eurotrash tourists want BCN to be their tagging zone. Wouldn't have that in Munich now would we? hypocrites, go paint marianplatz sucka

  • this kills me

the only thing you can do is think of it as a new canvas, I guess

let's hope no one gives up just because they got out their (ugly) beige paint and took down the (gorgeous and glorious) wheat pastes

  • they should be shot especially for even touching the London police stuff...

  • oh i see, nevermind

  • whats the name of this track?

  • Yeah so sad!!! Blahhhhhh! It's great that Barcelona is cleaning up this derelict bari in the city... BarcelonaNETA Baby! Urban Art? What a BS/PC term for graffiti vandalism. 99% of the stuff is pure shit... like "Flaggio" and other rampant taggers in BCN. Their egomaniacal tagging on everything ruins it for those who actually have talent.

What, only SanFran and NYC can gentrify? The Raval needs to be cleaned up anyway.

  • shut the fuck up

  • Great reply brainiac. Yeah it's fun for all the whities from sanitized cities like Oslo and Stockholm to come here to see paint and do paint, but not in their spic-n-span world. 90% is just tagging and should be cleaned. I guess the immigrants in slummy Raval should expect the city to keep their hood derelict. Racists the lot of you. Paint your flat bitch!

  • yes, it's very sad, but is now reality in Barcelona

  • Yeah, this is really depressing actually.

  • This is really sad!

  • this video actually made me kinda sad ..

  • nasty urban art destroyers

  • why would they do that?

  • Almost heartbreaking.

  • thats bufftastic !!!

    great video

  • Someone bought a lot magnolia paint!

  • street art tourism is over and it's a good thing

  • What about the artists who actually live in bcn??

  • mol currat tiu!!!
