My hedgie nico, all she's been doing is chewing on her wood chips and then begins to foam and drool (making squeaking noises). then she drools on the floor and rubs her face of it. Is that self anointing or is my hedgehog stupid?
Hedgehogs don't do that just because they like food lol they do it when they smell something unusual. They will either lick or chew at it, creating a frothy foam and spread it over their body to blend in with the smell.
