  • UTOPIA RULZ!.Nothing better! Iv'e been a musician for 30 years, played everything from aaron copeland to zz top, and todd is still my fav.thanx for this gem!

  • Todds mustang sounds unbelievable!

  • Epic..........

  • Fab!

  • Excellent upload. Still one of my favorite 5 songs. That says alot.

  • GREAT SONG; I still listen to it almost 30 years later... Driving my 911 from the desert to Popeet Flats in Silent Valley, CA with over 400 Watts of pure amplified sound, it just doesn't get better than this. Thank you Utopia.

    I wish you were here...

  • Roger playing his TMed Powell Probe was an awesome sight, indeed! This whole band was always on the cutting-edge!!! Thanks for sharing this!

  • Oh and Opie and Andy fuck you

  • Todd, you have aged well.

  • where was this? NYC? i think i was at this, just don't see where it was. thx!

  • Looks like Todd is shoeless. How can he play guitar in his barefeet? Man that's gotta be rough on his "dogs"!

  • Awesome song!

  • Thanks for finding this! Adventures in Utopia and Another Live are my 2 favorite Todd ablums!

  • LOVE!

  • fantastic! Thank you. I still listen to this cd. have the album somewhere, lol.

  • Damn cool for a veeery long time, I loved it and will do, thanx, gentlmen!

  • It was great to see Roger soloing on his "Powell Probe". Edgar Winter may have hung a 47 lb ARP 2600 keyboard around his neck first, and later Yamaha made it easier to play by shrinking down the keys, but Roger gets credit for inventing the first practical keyboard you could wear like a guitar.

  • @RMoribayashi You were referring to the syn-tar right?!

  • @bucky468 I was referring to controllers. The Syntar was a monosynth that looked like a VCS3 Putney with a guitar neck glued on it.

The keyboard Roger is playing for the 2nd half of the video is his own invention, the Powell Probe. It was a REMOTE keyboard in the days before MIDI. It had reliability problems so if you got to see him playing it on stage you were really lucky. There were only a few sold (as "The Probe") Both Yamaha and Korg made wearable MIDI controllers just a few years later.

  • Great Contribution! Thanks

  • Great post. just luv the ending. Wish they would have just jammed for another 20 mins at the end. Classic Utopia!

  • I agree with PRINCIPLEOFMOMENTS this really is one of the best versions of this song on youtube!!!! I have been searching for this song for quite a while glad you posted it ............ Thanks

  • @lfwpro That's pretty much cuz WMG won't allow anyone to post the original studio version of the song here. WMG is cracking down on those who misue its music. Shades of Big Brother do exist & it sucks!

  • TODD IT GOD!!!!!

  • Great Tunage!! Utopia rocks!

  • Thank you! I love this shit!
