DO NOT LEAVE THE BATTERY CHARGING much past its full charge. I burned up 2 batteries leaving them plugged in too long. This is a real problem since you can leave it on to charge and forget... very costly.
awesome camera.i like your video i got the same camera!! wide angle len is a plus,dont buy the cheapp one go for the 100 dollars in amazon.
16 gb internAL internal memory is ok.extra sdhc card really cool.good invest of money.edition program like sony vegas and you enhanced your videos like amateur pro.
the only problem is u neeed creativity and time to create nice artistic videos .i wonder if somebody here has acting or elaborate videos not the 25 seconds test!cheers
Thanks for the tip on the wide angle lens. I did get the extra 16 gig card for it so I don't have to worry about running out of time. I hope you enjoy your camera as much as I do. I also have Sony vegas for editing. It makes a HUGE difference. Be well,
Same here, I never fill up the memory for the type of shooting I do but had to get the bigger battery and purchase the external mic due to the poor wind filter.
I actually hate the Canon external mic, it's too fragile and expensive and sounds no better than the on board mic. The dead cat that comes with it though works great in the wind. If I had it to do again I would try to tape fur or foam over the built in mic.

the only thing i dont like about this camera is the 60fps rate, i wish it shot higher
it makes slow motion and fast forward look awkward

Nice. However, the colors are a bit bland, and the aspect ratio is a bit funny.
As far as cinematography goes, pretty good.

I use a Zoom H4 with a windscreen, plugged into the mic input.
Sounds preeeetttyy.
