  • @askain111 keep rockin dude

  • Was this the last episode???

  • "when the f*ck did they have baseball bats back then?" Lol, what r u talking about? Jill was clearly living in the 20th century, did u not see the use of electricity or hear the mentioning of the radio and the bus? She liked reading fairytales, but she was living in the 20th century, where baseball bats exists :)

  • Like a couple silly gooses... :p

  • Is it just me or when the fuck did they have baseball bats back then ?!?!?!

  • @coolgiby um baseball has been around for a very long time, this was a 90s show.

  • That son of a bitch scared me to the brink of death!

  • Would've been better if she'd run in on her parents banging. Now THAT is fucking scary.

  • Oh my god. I remember this show. I used to think it was real, man..nostalgia..

  • 6:35 Lol Jill is so Canadian!

  • @majinvegetaforever I'd say that she has Aspergers and no I'm not trying to be a jerk, as I used to know a little girl when I was a kid who had Aspergers Syndrome who was a lot like her and used not only to enjoy fairy tales but would often lose herself in them.

However in her case she had a much happier life than this poor girl in the episode

From what I last heard of her she's a well adjusted young woman who happens to like fantasy stories (plus the odd fairy tale)

  • I LOVED this ep as a kid.

In fact I've forgotten how freaky it was

  • a SCARY-tale ahahahaha just the way she said that cracked me up XD

  • I always hated this girl, she's so annoying. Also, talk about a super-thick Canadian accent!

  • @VanessaJLutz I thought she was sweet, as I knew a girl who was (more or less) just like her at school at the time I first saw this when I was 10 or 11 (who was around my age) who I had a crush on at the time (she already had a boyfriend so I just had to be content to watch from the sidelines) .

  • lol kids are so funny, i remember being scared of under my bed, thats why id start running from far away and leap onto it so nobody can grab me underneathe hahahaha

  • if they re-made this show, it'd be even scarier. (Special effects and mood lighting FTW!)

  • i agree i luv this show! watch it every time it came on!

  • love this show need to bring it back

  • "She lives in a fairy tale somewhere to far for us to find forgotten the taste and smell of the world that shes left behind" XD

  • The brother is ALSO living in a "fairyland"

  • I LOVED this show as a kid! I think this is why I ALWAYS slept with a comforter over my head for a few years. I was terrified! But still always watched AYAOTD

  • Wanna know why Eric never showed up in this episode or any of the episodes following? It's because he got his hands of that Gameboy from "The Tale of the Pinball Wizard", and the Gameboy ended up getting its hands on HIM.

    >=D

  • Respond to this video...

  • The little girl starring in this episode looks a lot like Hallie Kate Eisenberg (aka the infamous "Pepsi Girl" from those '90s pepsi commercials)

    ...Anyone else think so?

  • how were these kids always sneaking out?? hahahaha i used to watch this as a kid and now im in my twenties and realizing how effed up it is..oh well i turned out fine :)

  • Oh no there's a lone green vegetable under my bed!!

    (princess & pea)

  • Oh, the eighties and its fashion...

  • @brawrnie this isn't the eighties.

  • "When you do that, a fairy tale can become a...SCARY TALE!" Muh-ha-ha-ha!!!!

  • "Yeah... *wags finger* like a couple silly gooses!" lollz XP

  • fairy tale=scary tale

    buh dum chh

  • @hannahpoozer *face palm*

  • When I was little this episode scared me for years I thought there was a skeleton under my bed.

  • This was my favorite episode as a kid. Mostly because my room looked JUST like hers. I was really into fairy tales and dolls. And, for the record, I still love fairy tales. I tell my daughter fairy tales every night. She's 3 now and she shares my love of them too. I can't wait until she's a couple of years older so she can see this episode. It's one of those that's not as jump out of the closet scary as some of the other ones. I'd let her watch it when she turned 4 or 5.

  • @amarie12187 my daughter or son will be raised to appreciate fairy tales as well, i want them to appreciate tradition and morality they instill

  • Green scaly hands? They looked like normal hands to me...

  • They need to put this back on the air. Everybody has to get scared stiffed sooner or later. Might as well be when your young!!

  • Uh, she's 13 and she's spending some time in front of the mirror to look nice. I think she's acting her age. BTW, her mom reminds me of mine. REALLY scary.

  • This episode scared me shitless as a kid

  • I remember this one, I was totally afraid of my bed after this episode

  • In real life I think they were more like 16-19 years old.

  • I used to totally be afraid that the evil witch from snow white was under my bed. I'm not alone!

  • I LOVED THIS EPISODE!!!

  • has the midnight society ever disapproved of a story?

  • @halladaylover Why would they? Has there ever been an unworthy one? NOT.

  • @halladaylover haha thats what i was thinkin...what if they say no?

  • My grandmother doesnt even say silly gooses...

  • 'You're 13 years old, listen to the radio, go to a concert or something' My how times have changed!

  • When I was 13, I was never like that on this episode. I'm 24 now.

  • Im thirteen and i grew out of fairy tales when i was nine if she likes that stuff she should read mythology way more age appropriate

  • omg I remember this from my Child hood, use to watch it every Saturday night. Thank you so much for posting ^.^

  • Rachel Blanchard turned into such a babe, its not even funny....

  • Wow what a nice brother.

  • T and F are too close on the keyboard. That's why I would never name anyone Tucker. And I never write 'Regards' in my emails.

  • Gosh this seriously is the best into in the history of tv shows.

I may be hihg and all, but damn. Its perfect the boart rocking and all

  • lol I hate it when they to 13 year old they have to grow up or start acting mature or dont be so childish they are CHILDREN...nowadays the first thing to do is when u turn 13 is lose your virginity and get pregnant at 16....oh and im not an old whiney woman I am a 17 year old....and I feel 13 but I gotta grow up soon or society kills moi.

  • hey thats the girl from the tale of the chameleons!

  • @dannyss29 believe it or not that girl, who i used to have a crush on when i was small, has a facebook account.

  • she looks like dave mustaine

  • I always hide under the beds of little girls at night......i even got a page on the website courtesy of the sheriffs department website detailing my accomplishments. :}

  • @CyanoticFuture O_O ok then......locks all windows and doors and bolts them shut

  • Mom: Why does she always do this?

Dad: I don't know, but if she misses the bus again, it's your turn to drive her.

    Mom: But--

    Dad:(kisses) Bye.

Gee, how often does she miss the bus? When I was her age, I never missed the bus.

  • "Like a couple of silly gooses"

    -

    Geese Jill, silly geese...

  • hehe isn't silly goose a term that gay people use?

  • @GeGeMus12 '' that´s a term my grandma uses'' hahahahaha

  • Silly gosses? LOL

  • i never liked the black girl, she was too much of a bitch and stuck up .

  • wtf kind of nightgown is that?

  • I miss Are you afraid of the dark wish they would bring the old shows back.

  • Who has nightmares about snow white???

  • This was not one of the ones that actually scared me as a kid. Both the clown episodes and the dead man's float scared me. I agree with the Goosebumps thing. That dummy still freaks me out.

  • @SilverWitch614 OMG dead man's float scared the hell out of me when I was young lol!

  • LOL I forgot how AWFUL the acting was in this

  • the kid at 1:04 is the new weather man in my city :)

  • look at them pajamas she got on !!!

  • @mandazdahomie i thought her pajamas were cute, with those big wooly socks lol!

  • man this is fuckin wild

  • That brother is an asshole, manhandling her that way...he practically molested her...either that little girl is in a million of these eps,or they have another star that looks very similar to her...

  • I miss the nineties...I wasn't even in school yet when I first watched this...or maybe in preschool...I thought I was so brave when my little four-year-old self would watch it alone.I'm 18 and I still love this, though.

  • Yuck this episode reminds me of middle school, I repressed those three years of my life for a reason dammit!

  • AWW i rember when i use to watch this after school :D...but thats when nickelodeon was good

  • Are you afraid of the postmodern simulacra of darkness?

  • who would have thought after all these years the intro still gets me lol

  • damn that mom sounds just like my mom "GREAT NOW I HAVE TO BE LATE AND DRIVE YOU TO SCHOOL!"

  • blonde girl off peep show

  • girl in the outfit is from clueless

  • @iheartsquacks shes from peep show

  • I remember being a little kid sitting on my grandpa's lap, all dressed for bed, watching this and getting the crap scared out of me...oh how i miss those carefree days<3

  • anybody know the name of the story where the kid plays haide an seek with ghosts but doesnt no it until the end

  • @floydmichaelmoss Old Man Corcoran

  • @Hagerwife thank u very much thats my favorite the old man was like yeah i know those kids i buried them all haha!!

  • Doesn't anybody ever think about how fucked up these kids are? Sneaking out at midnight to tell stories of other children's demise and hell? ... I remember sitting on my couch, 9 years old, 8 o'clock, ready for bed. Door open with a cool breeze coming in and the song making me shiver. Beautiful times :D

  • @SharpieOn voted up by accedent ment to vote down

  • @thehpledalli I appreciate your honesty :)

  • @SharpieOn You have to remember these kids where in there teens and not 9 years old. I mean some of them look like they could pass for 20.

  • @SharpieOn i used to and i still do, but i loved the show so much i just dismissed it

  • poor thing...she lives with a bunch of assholes...

  • I have seen every episode mulitple times. God I loved this show. It actually used to freak me out. It still might if I watched some of them now hehehe

  • 2:30 MY APPLE GTFO >:{D <----angry mexican face

  • Potriot2572 ur racist

  • @Patriot2572 That girl does have an attitude problem, but all the kids in this show are a different race.

Do you allow your son to play with kids of different race? If not, he will eventually rebel against you. I know from experience that kids usually befriend those who you don't want them to hang with. It’s best to let him watch this show and let him experience difference cultures so that he can see for himself who to befriend and who to avoid.

  • silly geese

  • I'd rather my daughter like fairy tales then trying to be sexually active. It's better for kids to be kids and not trying to dress like they've just stepped off the las vegas strip.

  • @sumoni I know, I think I just wanted to be me instead of all those girls that tried to grow up too fast...but I never grew out of them...they just mutated into fantasy films and vampire daydreams. :)

  • @sumoni i agree.

  • @sumoni totally agree. back then kids were lot more innocent (at least here in argentina)

  • @sumoni i totally agree, its really sick what you see today, toung girls around this girls age look likeing prostitues...me and my mom were watching this episode and we thought the same thing, that its cute for a girl at her age to be like that and into stories and such instead of being like those other trampy girls drooling over some guy. i mean cmon its one thing to have a crush, its another to behave like a tramp.

  • @sumoni our hookers arent found on the strip, theyre on freemont

  • @RomanianDaci Ooh la la~!

  • @sumoni Amen to that!

  • @sumoni This.

  • Good thing the parents wear clothes to bed... :S

  • The guy with the dark hair must be a teacher or something now. That's what he looks like, a dorky teacher. I wonder if that's what they were going for. lol

  • the intro still scares the shit out of me..

  • I used to love this show when I was a kid. Oh, the fond memories. Does anyone know what story she is reading in the beginning?

  • Could that be Trusty John she was reading? That was my favorite fairytale when I was younger :D

  • yes vampire lover she is your auntie lol

  • @rhythmnationfan nope not yet=*(

  • Jill looks like a female Dave Mustaine

  • I don't know why people knock fairy tales, maybe Disney sugarcoated a lot of fairy tales, but the originals even before the Grimm brothers are gruesome ,I'm 25 and I still love fairy tales .They were never meant for children in the first place

  • @mylittelucy Yeah, Disney sugar coated a lot of things.

But their 3 worst Princesses were Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty...and Snow White.I think it's funny how the majority of the princesses don't take crap while 3 of them just wait to be rescued. ^_^

  • the intro used to scare me so much lol when i was like 5,still kinda creepy

  • Finally! A mom that actually scorns her kid for doing wrong.

  • @DisneyDarcy yes, but a little whining " now I have to get you myself and i'll get late" way

  • dude, the intro still freeks me out!!!!

  • oh my gosh i remember this!!! ahhhh, the 90s. it always amazed me that these kids' parents let them go out in the woods at midnight.

  • Well maybe i'm not brattish and childish,i hope not anyway

  • Wow it's wierd Jill both looks a bit like me(well the hair anyway is a brush when it's dry)acts very similar

  • "You gotta grow up Jill"

Hey, girl, you're the one in the frilly, stupid looking sleeping gown meant for five year olds when you're ten.

  • @mynameiszacci lol shes actually 13!

  • @Candichiz I realized that after I posted that comment. xP

  • Idk which one to like better problem with Are you afraid of the dark is the intro i never even knew about it. But now i do and i love it. I watched goosebumps since i was small though.

  • oh god. this show crept me out when i was a kid. the intro was bad enough but the show rocks

  • @osmond9111 i used to get creeped out to. now i cant believe how corny it is. well i still like it lol its just not scary at all.

  • @Dadeestar yea i hate his laugh

  • @Dadeestar omg I still remember slappy. and im still scared of him

  • @Dadeestar yeah, slappy was freaky, but he did have style

  • @Dadeestar same here

  • @Dadeestar

    -

But Slappy was so funny! I'd hang out with that guy...

  • @Dadeestar yeah! that damn Slappy. hey have you seen "Dead Silence"? is about ventriloquist dummies. really scarry

  • The broad in this episode, the little girl.... I have seen her in something else, Cant remember exactly what, But it's pissing me off now. haha

  • her name is Samantha Chemerika

  • lol 7:39 he totally checks out her ass...

  • This somewhat reminds me of the movie Labyrinth lol
