You've left out some of the most important bits. First, God told Moses before his first interview with Pharaoh that He would harden Pharaoh's heart so that P could not let the people go. Then Moses LIED to P when he said they just wanted to go a few days in the desert to worship God. God kept hardening P's heart and sending horrible plagues against the Egyptians. Then God had the Israelites ROB the Egyptians. Then God has every firstborn Egyptian son killed. All to show off his magical power.
