The point is that in Halo it's a fight to see who can get to the power weapons such as the Rocket Launcher. In Call of Duty, everyone starts with Grenade Launchers. If in Halo, everyone started with the Rocket Launcher, it would be overpowered and the game would suck.

@kakallak Not really. I mean that yes, sometimes you can get these insane multi-kills, but most of the time your just getting kills one-by-one with the noob tube. Notice how you don't typically see people using noob tubes and getting like a nuke, or like a gunship. That's because noob tubes arn't meant to last for a long duration of a life. That's where one man army comes in, if you had said one man army + noob tubes was a good tactic then I would have agreed, even though it's cheap and nooby.

I think what you were trying to say is that in halo the rocket launcher is the objective of the game, COD is a FPS about tactics vs tactics (like camping, rushing etc..), Halo is about controlling power weapons.

Why do you think they made MLG events? Or even team tactical? Usaly, if you're in a pug group, sure theyll go for an objective, but its not to be takin so seriously. If you want to play objective and competitive than get a team together, host a private match and find another team that will compete with you. Or just get a team together and own noobs in pugs.

I had 3 friends with me on TDM and we were all doing positive. however the 3 other people were all going negative, specifically this one guy who went literally, 0 and 24, resulting in a loss. it's one thing if they are legitimately trying and going like .5+ but if they are doing THAT bad, they are just not trying at all, and i don't see how that can be fun for ANYONE, except the enemy of course. just a bad aspect of the game i guess

if u chose to use noob tube everytime u come back to life, ur using it as a crutch to do well. in halo, u cannot chose a class that comes with a rocketlauncher. thats why using it isnt soo much as a crutch in halo. also u have to pretty much earn your chance of getting it in the first place.

In the Gears of War series, you have to fight over power weapons. It's on you to go and acquire them but in the CoD series you come equipped with a frag and 2 grenade launchers and the health system is also so low so it's a cheap way of playing. I think that's what you were trying to say

for all the hate of the noob tubes, the game actually catered to explosives. just look at danger close- the pro version enhances your air support kill streaks. think about that; the usage of all the explosives in this game was intentional. it "prevents" camping because any point on a map is reachable by a rocket or launched grenade.

i think camping is more gay than noob tubing- both are an abuse of the game haha so who even CARES
