  • That basstrombone after The Hammer is the most bad-ass ever!

  • @JordiLensink that was not only bassbone. that was tuba mostly =D that moment is really badass-)

  • gay

  • The Hammer is at 1:17 (for those like myself who came here just for that :D ).

  • I am sure there were supposed to be cymbals with that hammer blow... apart from that, amazing performance! :)

  • @danielhoganmusic Actually, there are not supposed to be cymbals, just a tam tam blow. They do play the tam tam here but it's subdued, more as a cushion for the hammer, rather than letting it stand out.

  • Beautiful

  • There's so much that is positive in this movement. There's also an existential horror. That's life - and no one expressed it better than Mahler.

  • @melwiv @EDGJZConglomerate however, notwithstanding the efforts of Mahler's hero to move ahead, this symphony does end with his defeat.... he was too depressive at that time...

  • eine unglaubliche Energie

  • 1:23 brass:

    "ffhgtfghfhtghgfhf"

  • This symphony has such power, and this performance is just breath-taking.

  • Abbado rocks like hell!!!

  • that was a pretty beastly french horn moment at 9:45 if you can hear it!

  • What an amazing hammer blow!!!

    Incredible massiv symphony.
