Overall, I agree with the message of what you're saying. It's wise to seek medical attention when someone is overtaken by an infirmity. My pastor taught me to seek God first for healing. Once you've given God ample time (a few days) (as long as the sickness isn't severe enough), if He hasn't healed you then you should seek medical attention. He states all the time, "Don't be too pentecostal to go to a doctor when God isn't healing your sicknesses."
i have to say that this video is clearly stating opinion and since this particular opinion is harmless or even helpful (unlike that of shwanerds grandmother) i would take it a bit more lightly.
i think personally the advice he gave would work well in the situation. unfortunately i'm a month late lol.
i don't think that he should get greif for trying to help in the only way they know how (even if it is nieve).
This is not a question of liking or not liking someone. In such a situation you put your differences aside. If ShwaNerd refuses to listen simply because he doesn't like me, then he really is a fool.
Tests are for the purpose of building up the one tested, and also serve as a testimony of faithfulness.
We were created to serve God's purposes, not our own. To reject God and His ownership over our lives is to reject our true purpose. If you want to call that a master slave relationship (since it is very emotionally charged terminology), then fine. You would still need to demonstrate that it is wrong.
I just demonstrated why I think it is right. God is our creator and we were created to serve His purposes. That is why the "master slave relationship" (if you insist on putting it that way, is right. Why is that wrong?
"Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually" (Genesis 6:5).
It looks like God was perfectly just in wiping out mankind, given the degree of wickedness they were displaying. I mean, how dumb are you?:)
You really haven't grasped the concept of hypothetical discussion have you. Cryptspider asked a hypothetical question about the God of the Bible. To have such a discussion you don't have to prove or believe that the God of the Bible exists. Haven't we been through this before? I think we have.
I don't know what God's plan for the holocaust was.
ukchristian28, how was it hypothetical? I mean, wtf? You claim we are not to test god, and you speack as if he's real. YOu claim stuff about god, so maybe he was addressing what you brought up.
I find it funny how you claim such things yet pull back and claim that it's all hypothetical. If you believe it's real, we can address as that, though we addressed this...
Then don't claim god has a plan for everything, that's just dumb dumb dumb man.
Also, he was just running off of what you said, uk. I think you read way to deep into things.
For a person who claims to know so much of god, you seem to not know really anything, yet you claim such things, if you don't know such things, please do start acting like it.
I am thinking that it was a bit more than simply not believing in one God. But that's bad enough. Rejecting the true God and turning to idols, offering them what is due to the true God is high treason by the very act. No, they deserved to be wiped out Kren:).
Then you're evil to the max. You back up genacide and everything, and evil and you will be treated as such from this point on.
If also children have the sin nature, then I guess that best thing to do for them is to aport them before they are born and allow them to go to heaven, based on your logic.
Sorry I missed your point above about hypothetical questions.
Cryptspider's question had nothing to do with proving God's existence. He was asking me about the character of God and His relationship to humans. It was a hypothetical question. Obviously it was, since Cryptspider doesn't believe in the Christian God. Hypothetically he was assuming the existence of God, and asking a question based on that hypothetical assumption. Why is that difficult for you to grasp?
ukchristian28, it's not difficult at all. I was just bringing up that you assume a lot about god as if you're buddy buddy with him, that's all.
Also, I never did say it was about that, I was pointing out that god has yet to be proven, so to speack as if you know him, seems a bit much to do, imo.
Go back to my video "Responding to My Nemesis Part 1. I explain in that video that God has the authority to do things that we don't possess. Just as I don't have the authority to walk into a death row wing and shoot a condemned prisoner, we do not not have the authority to take the life of a child.
ukchristian28, then why should god have the right? Might makes right is not good or anything a god should have, that is something someone like hitler had.
Also, if we don't have the right to take a childs life, then you're saying there is nothing we can do about it and we sin no matter what. That's just horse shit and you know it. Were being punished for something we didn't do and you're telling us to be happy with it.
The more you tlak about your faith, the more it sounds like a cult.
....continued....Joe, you shifted the goal posts of your own claims when your argument fell flat. You said you saw no evidence on my channel that I was an atheist. When I pointed out the channel comments from atheists, including a very popular one (Defender of Reason), you shifted the goal posts and said you saw no evidence in my "favorites." So, yeah, I have a few reasons for thinking YOU'RE a moron, Joe.
All christians are fruit loops. No doubt about it.
If SwhaNerd's uncle dies, then it was the belief in god that killed him."
Wow I sincerely apologize for speak so straight forward and harshly I didn't realize until this comment that I was talking to a 10 year old but please I beg you, take our advice and think before you speak. It'll make you a much smarter person and atheist. Don't condemn everyone you don't agree with mindlessly. Use your brain a little.
I just dont know what to do with your comments anymore. They are so mesmerizing childish I dont know if i should just say you win just so you can take your nap time with some peace or keep trying to help you learn so you can be a smarter person. "Believing god can cure cancer is not true." No one said Believing in God, Cures cancer. show me a quote that says that. I simply said someone who's joyful will help the healing process. so if prayer makes someone happy it may help them heal.
"Happiness Heals" google it, research it, learn it, search it, be happy and stop your petty childish arguments. Use your brain. I'm done. Good luck with him Kingston. Joe's lose was worse than when the lakers beat the magic last sunday.
You said: "Anybody who believes happiness heals is the real child"
Well, you just demonstrated that you completely lack any analytical ability. Stress, which can be caused by worrying about death, puts added strain on the body and the immune system. Therefore, being happy and in a positive mood, makes the body more resiliant and better equipped to fight an illness at optimal level. Juni said it HELPS heal, NOT that it ALONE heals. Reducing stress by being happy helps fight illness.
You're a fucking moron who can't read, Joe. Juni said "hapiness helps heal", not that it ALONE cures cancer. If you can't pay attention to detail, how can you honestly expect someone to think you're intelligent. YOU FAIL AGAIN!!!
That's 4 fails for Joe! No, wait, I just noticed that Joe said "wow your a nice person." HAHAH Joe doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're", yet he claims to be smarter than everyone. HAHA Fail number 5 for Joe!
Joe, how could I get upset? You just made so many stupid comments that I managed to pwn you 6 times in less than an hour. LOL At this pace I am going to set YouTube pwnage records. I noticed you made NO attempt to respond to the actual points made in my last 4 posts. YOU got nothing. I'm still wating for you to address the substance little Joey. HAHAHA
You said: "If you are an atheist, your not a very smart one."
Damn it, Joe, you pwned yourself in that post. I didn't even get the chance to do it. LOL
You can't keep claiming to be smarter than other people, when you repeatedly mix up "your" and "you're". And don't say you did it on purpose, Joe, because you used the proper punctuation in the first clause of the sentence.
I'm an atheist, so I have NO interest in reading the bible. I think Christianity is foolish. The only reason I am supporting ukc28 is because he is providing sound advice. When you want to get someone to do something that they are reluctant to do, you need to talk to them in their "language." Ukc's advice offers a way to get a religious woman to go to the doctor. Personally, I think the woman is foolish. But someone telling her that the bible is dumb is not going to get her to go to the doctor.
You never did, and I never said you did. I was explaining why I am backing ukc. I think the bible is dumb, but when speaking to someone I care about, like a sick grand parent who is a staunch follower of the bible, I would use her belief in the bible in order to get her to see why going to the doctor is the right thing to do. It's a very logical strategy. UKC should be applauded for it.
I didn't invite Juni1013 over here (although he is very welcome). I have in fact I don't recall ever encountering him before in my life.. The fact that you accuse him of lying about his atheism because there is little evidence of his views on his page is just laughable. Not all atheists wear their atheism on their sleeve. Also not all atheists are silly like you.
Actually, UK, Joe was accusing me of lying about being an atheist. However, by doing so, Joe demonstrated that he's either blind, a liar, or a complete fucking moron. Why? Because a very popular atheist, Defender of Reason, left a comment on my channel thanking me for supporting her channel (ie, subscribing and sending encouraging emails).
Joe fails repeatedly. I wish he was a Christian so that I could enjoy laughing at him more.
Sorry, I got the name wrong. I meant to say I didn't invite Kingston326 over here, but he is very welcome.
Yes, do you know that Joe is actually 23 according to him? When I first encountered him I honestly thought he was a rebellious 13 old boy who hadn't learned to argue properly yet.
Joe, you're deluded. You're like one of these people who go on the X Factor or American Idol, absolutely convinced that they have great singing talent, when in reality they are totally tone deaf and sound awful.
christians are deluded. Believing in a magic man in the sky, praying to nobody, thinking they will go to heaven when they die. Those are the people who are tone deaf and sound awful.
O, guess you have me there then. I really don't know what joe and uk was talking about, but I thought you was just throwing that out there to throw a insult out.
No worries regarding getting the username wrong. I think the bible is garbage, but I think you provided some sound avice. In order to get through to a person, you need to speak their "language." If Shwa's Grandma spoke only French, he wouldn't try to explain things in German. So, if relgion is a central component of her decision making, it's useful to have a religious argument for why she should go to the doctor. It's simple logic. Joe can't grasp even the most simple concept.
ALL the comments left on my channel are from atheists. I just mentioned Defender of Reason because she is a very popular one that only a moron would have missed. YOU FAIL AGAIN!!! hahaha
Joe, do all atheists wear their atheism on their sleave? Do all atheists make promoting atheism and attacking religion their number one past time? Not all atheists are that bothered about arguing with theists. Are you sure you are not 12 or 13? I had more sensible discussions with a class of 11 and 12 years olds in a secondary school I worked in once, and they were in the bottom stream. Honestly!
Now you're chaning the goal posts. You know who does that in debates? Creationists! At first, you said you saw no evidence on my CHANNEL, but now that I destroyed that point, you change it to my "favorites." I have more than one channel. All the favorites on the Kingston channel, with the exception of 3 videos, are music videos. BTW, how many of my favorites have anything to do with religion? Answer: 0
You just said: "If your gonna argue about this, use your brain"
*facepalm*
Damn it, Joe, you pwned yourself AGAIN. Seriously, Joe, this is like watching a dumb kid repeatedly score on his own net in hockey. If YOU'RE going to tell someone to use their brain, you really shouldn't keep screwing up the use of "your" and "you're."
Nope, that's not all I have against you. There are several other things that demonstrate you're a moron. First, you can't read, which leads you to create strawmen. Juni said "hapiness helps heal", but you created a strawman by asking how hapiness cures cancer. Clearly, you don't pay attention to detail. That, or you purposely create a strawman because you're not smart enough to attack the real argument. Second, you're a moron because you shift the goal posts of your own claims....continued...
There is nothing to rebutt. Prayer doesn't work. There is nothing more to say about it. Studies have shown prayer doesn't improve the health of anybody; it's as simple as that. Do some research on the topic, then you will be set straight. And get this through your head. THE BIBLE CANNOT BE USED AS EVIDENCE FOR ANYTHING. IT IS A FAIRYTALE. IT SHOULD BE USED TO PUT CHILDREN TO SLEEP AT NIGHT.
I WIN, YOU LOSE UK. ACCEPT DEFEAT.
I have already won, I'm not going on and on about this.
I am an atheist and currently LMAO @ you. The advice that ukc28 provided is excellent. When you're dealing with an old, religious person, who is unlikely to change their beliefs over night, you have to formulate an argument that fits with their belief system. That's the best way to get through to them. Yes, the bible is full of garbage. I agree with you on that. BUT that is NOT the point. The point is how to best get this woman to accept medical assistance. You lose, ukc28 wins.
I went to your channel and I can't find any evidence of you being an atheist.
I'm sure this women is wise enough to know she is getting more and more sick, and realize that her belief that god cured her didn't actually happen, and she will realize god won't save her, and the miracle of medicine might.
Joe, jesus sucks. Let his faggot ass strike me down as I type this message. Is that enough evidence that I am an atheist? YOU FAIL! And no, the woman may not be wise enough to know God didn't cure her, especially given how extreme some of Shwa's relatives are. ALSO, what if she doesn't realize god is not curing her until it is too late and nothing can be done. The SOONER she goes to the doctor the better. You lack analytical ability.
I couldn't help it but comment on the FAILURE that is joe. I saw a couple of comments from Shwan's page and had to point out some of these FAILURES. 1) "religion is evil" - you count account for evil in your world view. Evil is as Mythical as you want to make God. You fail! 2) the pain and uncomfort whoever she was, was part, if not all your fault joe. Fact - happiness helps activate natural healing in the body
(do research if you didn't know that common sense), you could have helped her agony by faking your belief in God so she could be filled with joy and help her heal. Her life ended most likely in sadness, selflessly thinking about you joe and you couldn't even oblige her not even in her last moments. Sorry for telling the truth but that was an EPIC FAILURE. 3) With the fact that happiness helps heal, prayer would work if it makes someone happy. so you fail again
"do research if you didn't know that common sense), you could have helped her agony by faking your belief in God so she could be filled with joy and help her heal."
So your saying if I faked my belief in god, her cancer would of went away?
She knew I was an atheist long before she had cancer. So your saying that after she got cancer, I should of "faked it" and pretend to believe in God? I don't think she would have bought into that.
Joe, I left another comment here for you, but I'd also like to point out an additional reason for why you're a complete moron. You said you visited my channel and didn't find any evidence that I am an atheist. Well, then you're a moron. Look at the channel comments. Defender of Reason, a popular atheist thanked me for supporting her and sending her emails. YOU LOSE AGAIN! That's the third failure for you, Joe. If this was baseball, you'd be out.
It could have made it go away as it could have healed her just a little bit or do nothing at all. The point is that you didn't do your part at all you and most likely helped her get worse with sadness. You didn't even have to fake belief, for the least give her hope that you would try to seek him or something to that extent just to make her day.
Last then, your advice is to tell shwanerds uncle that hes a fruit loop and his death is inevitable (Talk about Failures). What a waste of oxygen. I can tell your so called superior intellect only consists of not believing in God. Well its done wonders for your close friend, I advice you to not give any advice any more my friend. You lose, UK wins. Joe= Epic Failure
"wow your a nice person". I can't really say the same to you, and sorry I know the truth hurts some times. This guy is trying to help Shwanerd out and your damning atheist for supporting UK's selflessness. "Where's the evidence for this" (Facepalm) with your superior intellect I thought you would have known that happiness heals. "Happiness Heals" one google away If you didnt already know the fact that being happy helps heal. Evil is as fake as you try to make God.
Yeah, "just go to the doctor and forget about prayer". That would really help ShwaNerd to persuade his grandmother wouldn't it? This is a lady who believes in the power of prayer and has become imbalanced in her thinking. Her source of authority is the Bible, so why not use her source of authority to persuade to do what he needs to do? I am just thinking practically here.
Also this idea that you fundie atheists have that you can scientifically prove or disprove prayer. Really silly.
I have already explained why. It is putting God to the test (which we are forbidden to do) and there are too many unknown factors. God isn't at our beck and call. He answers prayer in His own way, according to His own will and in His own time. Sometimes He doesn't answer prayer in the way we expect or want. Conducting a study to try to validate or invalidate the power of prayer is therefore a ludicrous notion.
No it doesn't. I am just pointing out that given what is claimed about the Christian God from what Christians believe to be His revelation to mankind, trying to prove or disprove His existence trying to scientifically prove or disprove the power of prayer is simply ludicrous. There are too many unknown variables. If we discount the Bible as a source of information on this matter there would be more unknown variables. Do you see how silly it is to make such an attempt now?
No you haven't. All you have done is make a load of assertions, as usual. I wanted you to rebutt what I said about attempting to demonstrate scientifically the effectiveness or non-effectiveness of prayer. It's a stupid idea. I have explained why and I am not going to keep repeating myself. Try to rebutt that.
Also, you didn't explain why my advice to ShwaNerd is unsound.
Your advice is unsound because your a christian and believe in god. Anybody who believes in the supernatural has no business giving advice about something as serious as this.
Only people with reason can give sound advice. Anybody who believes in a god that can work magic on people have no business opening their mouths.
You know Joe, there was a reason why I thought you were only 13.
We are dealing with a lady who looks to the Bible as her source of authority. Whether that is right or wrong, that is her source of authority. We need to persuade her to go to the doctor, so pointing out that her source of authority actually encourages that is going to carry a lot of weight with her. Whether you think Bible is true or not is irrelevant in this situation. Now, tell me how that is unsound reasoning.
I don't think prayer can be proved to a non-believers satisfaction, so I am not going to attempt it. The idea of trying to scientifically prove prayer is stupid for reasons I have already stated.
Prayers and God's responses to them are part of His sovereign plan. We are also commanded to pray and express ourselves to God. That's why we do it. You should also note that prayer is more than just asking for stuff. It is how Christians have fellowship with God.
Then don't claim it works. Also, that is a cop out. Yes, it won't work for a none believer, but neither did it work when I was a believer, so sry dude, the burden of proof is on you to prove it works, not me. Then don't say we should do it that way, /face palm.
But, if god has a plan, then praying is pointless and does nothing.
Kren, that's like constantly PMing me asking for money, and then concluding I don't exist when I don't grant your wish. You cannot test the actions of a free agent.
KabaneTheChristian, Maybe perhaps you don't, if you don't grant it. If there is no evidence showing that you might, it is resonable to not believe you do, based on the lack of evidence.
If we can't test the actions of a free agent, then there really is no way to prove it. SO tell me then, why don't you believe in Zeus?
ukchristian28, I understand that, but someone needs to be real here and not "trick" her in a way.
It's really silly to believe in prayer, yet you say god has a plan. So what's the point of praying? If it's going to come to you either way, praying or not, praying is pointless.
You can use the term, "fundie athiest", all you want, but all you're doing is showing how lame of come backs you can come back with.
There is no such thing as a "miraculous healing". Studies have shown that praying to god doesn't affect the outcome of any disease. Telling someone to pray to god for a miracle is nothing more then giving somebody false hope.
That's really silly. Do you honestly think that you can do a scientific study to scientifically prove whether prayer works one way or the other? There are far too many factors and unknows involved there. It would also be putting God to the test, which is something we are forbidden to do, if you were even listening to the video.
What advice would you give to ShwaNerd to convince this Christian lady to do what she ought to do?
How is the Pentecostal Movement not a sound doctrine? I have never been taught going to the doctor is a sign of faithlessness. And everyone that I have known in the congregation that got sick have turned to God like you said but also as you said they've sought professional help. It seems to me that is her own belief that tells her she doesn't need a doctor. I doubt the church is telling her that. at least from my experience in the church. I dont see the dangerous tendencies you are claiming here
I am sorry. perhaps I was generalising a little here. There are unsound churches in the pentecostal/charismatic movement that are as I described, but it doesn't describe all pentecostals/charismatics. I will add some annotations to clarify that. I apologise if I caused offence.
No problem man and thanks for clarifying that for me. Your a Great example for everyone here on Youtube and i appreciate all the work you do here and I hope Shwanerd listens to everything you have to say. Keep up the Awesome work. God bless Brother!
Ukchristian28, I watched one of Shwanerd's videos and he said that he will go and video tape his penticostel summer camp and put it on video around the end of the summer. When he puts the video out would you mind providing commentary to it.
I am not sure how busy I am going to be by the end of summer, but if I am able I will be happy to do some commentry on it. If I am too busy, I will do it as soon as I am able.
I'm saying there's no reliable evidence of miracles. Just in the same was there's no reliable evidence of alien abduction or fairies at the bottom of the Garden.
Am I positive? I'm as positive as you are about fairies.- as in I see no evidence that such events happen and I think it so improbable that to all intents and purposes its good as impossible.
I was hardly hundreds of times. It's not something I usually do, but it's not fair that that user uploads videos of Aaron that he no longer endorses. It's giving a misleading picture of where he stands now. I would like people to see him as he is now, not what he was like over a year ago.
It is a dishonest portrayal of someone who has since grown in their understanding, and seen the foolishness of what they said. All of comments I posted I posted individually to the different users. Posting it once would be less likely to reach all 10 of those people. I stand by what I did. It's not evil to try to prevent people from being misled, and that is what is happening on that channel with those videos.
Good and evil,or right and wrong have nothing to do with scripture. These moral laws are a result of universal preferences, so to speak. No-one wants to die, therefore you shouldn't kill. No-one wants to be stolen from, therefore you shouldn't steal. They are built on empathy and kinship which have been extremely important in our evolutionary growth.
If you followed 'Almighty' God's rules you'd be locked up in prison for life-or worse. This moral dilemma of yours is as fictitious as your religion
Yes, but that doesn't prove the moral rightness of not stealing or murdering, only that it is of benefit to you. Supposing there was an advantage for someone not to conforming to those principles? Would it then be right. If morality is determined by majority rule, then what if you have a society were a society where paedophila is acceptable. Would it be right because that society has deemed it so?
If I was hiding a family of Jews in my basement and a Nazi soldier knocked on my door and asked if I was hiding any Jews, should I 'not bear false witness' and tell him or should I lie and say "no"?
Morality is far more complex than a stone tablet. It is always shifting based on concious raising. I'm not interested in State laws. Slavery used to be a law and we both know that the Bible is not exactly against slavery.
We know what is right for any given situation based on empathy.
.... or atleast we try to. We humans are not infallible (some are more empathetic than others - it takes time and will for morality to spread through the society .
If you are looking for a perfect moral code, that suits every imaginable situation, try your hand at philosophy and create one. Well, before that put down the bible. Good luck
Concerning your paedophilia example. That law wouldn't be moral, of course. As I said, morality is based on empathy. There's not much empathy involved concerning the child in such a law.
Unlike Joebevins1999, FranzDuckVideos is not a fundie atheist and has a degree of fairmindedness and intelligence. He has the ability to see the pragmatic point of this video: providing something ShwaNerd could say to his grandmother, which there was a chance she might listen to, which would also not compromise his own atheistic stance.
Except the advice is actually for another fruit loop Christian. We fruit loop Christians tend to understand how each other think you know, or at least have some idea:).

No, that would be science.

although i agree with you entirely...
i have to say that this video is clearly stating opinion and since this particular opinion is harmless or even helpful (unlike that of shwanerds grandmother) i would take it a bit more lightly.
i think personally the advice he gave would work well in the situation. unfortunately i'm a month late lol.
i don't think that he should get greif for trying to help in the only way they know how (even if it is nieve).
it's not like the vid is condesending to sn.

uk,
Do you actually think ShwaNerd would take advice from any christians? He thinks christians are crazy.
He does not like you or any member of your gang.
joebevins1999 2 years ago
This is not a question of liking or not liking someone. In such a situation you put your differences aside. If ShwaNerd refuses to listen simply because he doesn't like me, then he really is a fool.

Tests are for the purpose of building up the one tested, and also serve as a testimony of faithfulness.
We were created to serve God's purposes, not our own. To reject God and His ownership over our lives is to reject our true purpose. If you want to call that a master slave relationship (since it is very emotionally charged terminology), then fine. You would still need to demonstrate that it is wrong.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
uk, you need to demonstrate that it is right before, Crypt has to do anything.
The more you talk about god, the more human and evil he sounds mate.
Krensharpaw 2 years ago
I just demonstrated why I think it is right. God is our creator and we were created to serve His purposes. That is why the "master slave relationship" (if you insist on putting it that way, is right. Why is that wrong?
ukchristian28 2 years ago
ukchristian28, because it makes god seem evil and to not understand that truly shows how lost you are.
I mean, how dumb are you, uk?
Also, Zeus was our creator at one time. Saying something is our creator is not proving something, since your creator has yet to be proven.
Also, just a little thing, even Zeus did not almost destory all of human kind.

You really haven't grasped the concept of hypothetical discussion have you. Cryptspider asked a hypothetical question about the God of the Bible. To have such a discussion you don't have to prove or believe that the God of the Bible exists. Haven't we been through this before? I think we have.
I don't know what God's plan for the holocaust was.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
ukchristian28, how was it hypothetical? I mean, wtf? You claim we are not to test god, and you speack as if he's real. YOu claim stuff about god, so maybe he was addressing what you brought up.
I find it funny how you claim such things yet pull back and claim that it's all hypothetical. If you believe it's real, we can address as that, though we addressed this...

ukchristian28, yet he even killed children at the time, how could a child be evil? Also, he only did it because they didn't believe in one god.
Sry uk, reading bible stuff does not help you out man.
I mean, you're backing genacide, how dumb are you to deny you are?
Krensharpaw 2 years ago
Children have a sin nature like everyone else.

You're really messed up man.
Krensharpaw 2 years ago
Sorry I missed your point above about hypothetical questions.
Cryptspider's question had nothing to do with proving God's existence. He was asking me about the character of God and His relationship to humans. It was a hypothetical question. Obviously it was, since Cryptspider doesn't believe in the Christian God. Hypothetically he was assuming the existence of God, and asking a question based on that hypothetical assumption. Why is that difficult for you to grasp?
ukchristian28 2 years ago
ukchristian28, it's not difficult at all. I was just bringing up that you assume a lot about god as if you're buddy buddy with him, that's all.
Also, I never did say it was about that, I was pointing out that god has yet to be proven, so to speack as if you know him, seems a bit much to do, imo.
Krensharpaw 2 years ago
Go back to my video "Responding to My Nemesis Part 1. I explain in that video that God has the authority to do things that we don't possess. Just as I don't have the authority to walk into a death row wing and shoot a condemned prisoner, we do not not have the authority to take the life of a child.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
ukchristian28, then why should god have the right? Might makes right is not good or anything a god should have, that is something someone like hitler had.
Also, if we don't have the right to take a childs life, then you're saying there is nothing we can do about it and we sin no matter what. That's just horse shit and you know it. Were being punished for something we didn't do and you're telling us to be happy with it.
The more you tlak about your faith, the more it sounds like a cult.

So, yeah, I have a few reasons for thinking YOU'RE a moron, Joe.

Wow I sincerely apologize for speak so straight forward and harshly I didn't realize until this comment that I was talking to a 10 year old but please I beg you, take our advice and think before you speak. Believing god can cure cancer is not true.
Going to the doctor for treatment is smart. It's that simple. I don't know why you can't understand that.
joebevins1999 2 years ago
I just dont know what to do with your comments anymore. They are so mesmerizing childish I dont know if i should just say you win just so you can take your nap time with some peace or keep trying to help you learn so you can be a smarter person. "Believing god can cure cancer is not true." No one said Believing in God, Cures cancer. show me a quote that says that. I simply said someone who's joyful will help the healing process. so if prayer makes someone happy it may help them heal.

Joe,
You said: "Anybody who believes happiness heals is the real child"
Well, you just demonstrated that you completely lack any analytical ability. Stress, which can be caused by worrying about death, puts added strain on the body and the immune system. Therefore, being happy and in a positive mood, makes the body more resiliant and better equipped to fight an illness at optimal level. Juni said it HELPS heal, NOT that it ALONE heals. Reducing stress by being happy helps fight illness.

That's 4 fails for Joe! No, wait, I just noticed that Joe said "wow your a nice person." HAHAH Joe doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're", yet he claims to be smarter than everyone. HAHA Fail number 5 for Joe!

kingston326,
I sense your getting a little upset with me. What's wrong, are you running out of arguments against me?
And yes, I used "your" again. When I'm talking to inbreds, I really don't care about punctuation.

joebevins1999 2 years ago
Joe, how could I get upset? You just made so many stupid comments that I managed to pwn you 6 times in less than an hour. LOL At this pace I am going to set YouTube pwnage records. You can't keep claiming to be smarter than other people, when you repeatedly mix up "your" and "you're". And don't say you did it on purpose, Joe, because you used the proper punctuation in the first clause of the sentence.

joebevins1999 2 years ago
I'm an atheist, so I have NO interest in reading the bible. I think Christianity is foolish. The only reason I am supporting ukc28 is because he is providing sound advice. When you want to get someone to do something that they are reluctant to do, you need to talk to them in their "language." Ukc's advice offers a way to get a religious woman to go to the doctor. Personally, I think the woman is foolish. But someone telling her that the bible is dumb is not going to get her to go to the doctor.
kingston326 2 years ago

"But someone telling her that the bible is dumb is not going to get her to go to the doctor"
When did I say someone should say that to her?
joebevins1999 2 years ago
"when did I say someone should say that to her".
UKC should be applauded for it.
kingston326 2 years ago
king,
I would tell the sick person that if you don't go to the doctor and get proper treatment, your gonna die.

joebevins1999 2 years ago
I didn't invite Juni1013 over here (although he is very welcome). I have in fact I don't recall ever encountering him before in my life.. The fact that you accuse him of lying about his atheism because there is little evidence of his views on his page is just laughable. Not all atheists wear their atheism on their sleeve. Also not all atheists are silly like you.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
Actually, UK, Joe was accusing me of lying about being an atheist. However, by doing so, Joe demonstrated that he's either blind, a liar, or a complete fucking moron. Why? Because a very popular atheist, Defender of Reason, left a comment on my channel thanking me for supporting her channel (ie, subscribing and sending encouraging emails).
Joe fails repeatedly. I wish he was a Christian so that I could enjoy laughing at him more.
kingston326 2 years ago

ukc28,
No worries regarding getting the username wrong.

IT SHOULD BE USED TO PUT CHILDREN TO SLEEP AT NIGHT.

joebevins1999 2 years ago
Joeb1999,
I am an atheist and currently LMAO @ you. You lose, ukc28 wins.
kingston326 2 years ago
Fail.
Sorry kingston326 I still win.
I went to your channel and I can't find any evidence of you being an atheist.

joebevins1999 2 years ago
Joe, jesus sucks. Let his faggot ass strike me down as I type this message. Is that enough evidence that I am an atheist? YOU FAIL! And no, the woman may not be wise enough to know God didn't cure her, especially given how extreme some of Shwa's relatives are. joebevins1999 2 years ago
Juni1013 2 years ago
(do research if you didn't know that common sense), you could have helped her agony by faking your belief in God so she could be filled with joy and help her heal. Her life ended most likely in sadness, selflessly thinking about you joe and you couldn't even oblige her not even in her last moments. Sorry for telling the truth but that was an EPIC FAILURE. 3) With the fact that happiness helps heal, prayer would work if it makes someone happy. so you fail again
Juni1013 2 years ago
"do research if you didn't know that common sense), you could have helped her agony by faking your belief in God so she could be filled with joy and help her heal."
So your saying if I faked my belief in god, her cancer would of went away?
She knew I was an atheist long before she had cancer. So your saying that after she got cancer, I should of "faked it" and pretend to believe in God? I don't think she would have bought into that.
joebevins1999 2 years ago
Joe, I left another comment here for you, but I'd also like to point out an additional reason for why you're a complete moron. You said you visited my channel and didn't find any evidence that I am an atheist. Well, then you're a moron. Look at the channel comments. Defender of Reason, a popular atheist thanked me for supporting her and sending her emails. YOU LOSE AGAIN! That's the third failure for you, Joe. If this was baseball, you'd be out.
:::does another victory lap:::
kingston326 2 years ago
It could have made it go away as it could have healed her just a little bit or do nothing at all. The point is that you didn't do your part at all you and most likely helped her get worse with sadness. You didn't even have to fake belief, for the least give her hope that you would try to seek him or something to that extent just to make her day.
Juni1013 2 years ago

I think he should just say to go to the doctor, because praying really does not do anything.
Though, I'm glad to see you're caring about what is going on with him, but even you,uk must reliaze that praying is really pointless.
Krensharpaw 2 years ago
Yeah, "just go to the doctor and forget about prayer". That would really help ShwaNerd to persuade his grandmother wouldn't it? This is a lady who believes in the power of prayer and has become imbalanced in her thinking. Her source of authority is the Bible, so why not use her source of authority to persuade to do what he needs to do? I am just thinking practically here.
Also this idea that you fundie atheists have that you can scientifically prove or disprove prayer. Really silly.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
Tell me why doctors can't do clinical studies to prove or disprove prayer?
joebevins1999 2 years ago
I have already explained why. It is putting God to the test (which we are forbidden to do) and there are too many unknown factors. God isn't at our beck and call. He answers prayer in His own way, according to His own will and in His own time. Sometimes He doesn't answer prayer in the way we expect or want. Conducting a study to try to validate or invalidate the power of prayer is therefore a ludicrous notion.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
You're assuming god exists; which he doesn't. Therefore, you fail at answering my question.
joebevins1999 2 years ago
No it doesn't. I am just pointing out that given what is claimed about the Christian God from what Christians believe to be His revelation to mankind, trying to prove or disprove His existence trying to scientifically prove or disprove the power of prayer is simply ludicrous. There are too many unknown variables. If we discount the Bible as a source of information on this matter there would be more unknown variables. Do you see how silly it is to make such an attempt now?
ukchristian28 2 years ago
I'm an atheist, thus when it comes down to things like believing in god, (which is stupid) my intelligence is superior to yours.
Science is superior to any skyman.
There is no such thing as power of prayer.
joebevins1999 2 years ago
Ok, well demonstrate your superior intellect and rebutt what I said above.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
I already have.
joebevins1999 2 years ago
No you haven't. All you have done is make a load of assertions, as usual. I wanted you to rebutt what I said about attempting to demonstrate scientifically the effectiveness or non-effectiveness of prayer. It's a stupid idea. I have explained why and I am not going to keep repeating myself. Try to rebutt that.
Also, you didn't explain why my advice to ShwaNerd is unsound.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
Your advice is unsound because your a christian and believe in god. Anybody who believes in the supernatural has no business giving advice about something as serious as this.
Only people with reason can give sound advice. Anybody who believes in a god that can work magic on people have no business opening their mouths.
joebevins1999 2 years ago
You know Joe, there was a reason why I thought you were only 13.
We are dealing with a lady who looks to the Bible as her source of authority. Whether that is right or wrong, that is her source of authority. We need to persuade her to go to the doctor, so pointing out that her source of authority actually encourages that is going to carry a lot of weight with her. Whether you think Bible is true or not is irrelevant in this situation. Now, tell me how that is unsound reasoning.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
ukchristian28, the burden of proof is on you to prove pray works, you are YET AGAIN, doing another logical fallacy.
I understand your advice, I'm just coming off the idea of not tricking her to go.
Krensharpaw 2 years ago
I don't think prayer can be proved to a non-believers satisfaction, so I am not going to attempt it. The idea of trying to scientifically prove prayer is stupid for reasons I have already stated.
Prayers and God's responses to them are part of His sovereign plan. We are also commanded to pray and express ourselves to God. That's why we do it. You should also note that prayer is more than just asking for stuff. It is how Christians have fellowship with God.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
Then don't claim it works. Also, that is a cop out. Yes, it won't work for a none believer, but neither did it work when I was a believer, so sry dude, the burden of proof is on you to prove it works, not me. Then don't say we should do it that way, /face palm.
But, if god has a plan, then praying is pointless and does nothing.
Krensharpaw 2 years ago
Kren, I believe it works. I can testify to it in my life, but it wouldn't convince you.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
Then that's ok, but you should not ask ppl to prove it with something that could not.
I'm just saying from my own exp., it has not worked and ppl seem to use it as a good guy badge. That's all.
Krensharpaw 2 years ago
Kren, that's like constantly PMing me asking for money, and then concluding I don't exist when I don't grant your wish. You cannot test the actions of a free agent.
KabaneTheChristian 2 years ago
KabaneTheChristian, Maybe perhaps you don't, if you don't grant it. If there is no evidence showing that you might, it is resonable to not believe you do, based on the lack of evidence.
If we can't test the actions of a free agent, then there really is no way to prove it. SO tell me then, why don't you believe in Zeus?
Krensharpaw 2 years ago
ukchristian28, I understand that, but someone needs to be real here and not "trick" her in a way.
It's really silly to believe in prayer, yet you say god has a plan. So what's the point of praying? If it's going to come to you either way, praying or not, praying is pointless.
You can use the term, "fundie athiest", all you want, but all you're doing is showing how lame of come backs you can come back with.
Krensharpaw 2 years ago
This has been flagged as spam show
Epic fail.
There is no such thing as a "miraculous healing". Studies have shown that praying to god doesn't affect the outcome of any disease. Telling someone to pray to god for a miracle is nothing more then giving somebody false hope.
joebevins1999 2 years ago
I don't know how this came to be marked as spam.
That's really silly. Do you honestly think that you can do a scientific study to scientifically prove whether prayer works one way or the other? There are far too many factors and unknows involved there. It would also be putting God to the test, which is something we are forbidden to do, if you were even listening to the video.
What advice would you give to ShwaNerd to convince this Christian lady to do what she ought to do?
ukchristian28 2 years ago
How is the Pentecostal Movement not a sound doctrine? I have never been taught going to the doctor is a sign of faithlessness. And everyone that I have known in the congregation that got sick have turned to God like you said but also as you said they've sought professional help. It seems to me that is her own belief that tells her she doesn't need a doctor. I doubt the church is telling her that. at least from my experience in the church. I dont see the dangerous tendencies you are claiming here
JesusIzGod777 2 years ago
I am sorry. perhaps I was generalising a little here. There are unsound churches in the pentecostal/charismatic movement that are as I described, but it doesn't describe all pentecostals/charismatics. I will add some annotations to clarify that. I apologise if I caused offence.

It worries me when Christians reject doctors because they rely solely on God. God does not replace doctors, he will simply help the healing process.

"God does not replace doctors, he will simply help the healing process."
What evidence do you have to support that claim?
joebevins1999 2 years ago
I have seen many examples of the healing hand of God in my own life, and there are many more out there which could be found using the internet.
Scotzbh0y15 2 years ago
Scotzbh0y15,
Show me proof of god's healing hands. And give me one example where you saw god's healing hand.
There has never been any evidence of "the healing hand of god."

If one of your friends lost an eye in an accident, would you pray for the eye to grow back?
Minttzz 2 years ago
Yes, one might pray for such healing and it would not be beyond God's ability to do so. Healings of a miraclious nature are rare however.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
LOL. Nonsense.
Show me a documented example of someone's eye growing back after prayer.
Minttzz 2 years ago
Clearly you were unable to justify your statement .
Minttzz 2 years ago
I thought I had replied to that. I know of no documented modern example. I already said that I believe miracles of this nature to be very rare.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
Not rare.
Non-existent.
Minttzz 2 years ago
Now you are making a positive truth claim which you must back up. Are you absolutely certain that no miracles have ever taken place at any time?
ukchristian28 2 years ago
I'm saying there's no reliable evidence of miracles. Just in the same was there's no reliable evidence of alien abduction or fairies at the bottom of the Garden.
Am I positive? I'm as positive as you are about fairies.- as in I see no evidence that such events happen and I think it so improbable that to all intents and purposes its good as impossible.
Minttzz 2 years ago
BTW stop spamming. Its evil.
Minttzz 2 years ago
Spamming?
ukchristian28 2 years ago
Posting "Check out Aaron's new channel: AaronRefuteHimself." hundreds of times.
Minttzz 2 years ago
I was hardly hundreds of times. It's not something I usually do, but it's not fair that that user uploads videos of Aaron that he no longer endorses. It's giving a misleading picture of where he stands now. I would like people to see him as he is now, not what he was like over a year ago.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
Okay it was 10 times It initially looked like loads more than that. But its still spamming and spamming is EVIL..
Like I commented on that page, the video is a good illustration of how religion can mess up the minds of children.
Minttzz 2 years ago
It is a dishonest portrayal of someone who has since grown in their understanding, and seen the foolishness of what they said. All of comments I posted I posted individually to the different users. Posting it once would be less likely to reach all 10 of those people. I stand by what I did. It's not evil to try to prevent people from being misled, and that is what is happening on that channel with those videos.

YouTube comment system sucks my comment won't post.
Minttzz 2 years ago
Argggh this is infuriating... YT comments suck big ones.
Dishonest? in what way? Its not been edited.
unlike scotzbhoy (another child's mind messed with by Christianity), who is yet to recognize his foolishness.
yeah that's generally why people spam to reach lots of people. Don't. Its EVIL.
Yes it is evil. Spamming is evil, that's why there's a spam button on comments. who sees your message marked as spam?
Minttzz 2 years ago
Why is it evil, and how do you decide what is good and evil in a Godless, random universe?
ukchristian28 2 years ago
Evil in this context is computer geek speak. Google for "Spam is evil"
Minttzz 2 years ago
Good and evil,or right and wrong have nothing to do with scripture. These moral laws are a result of universal preferences, so to speak. No-one wants to die, therefore you shouldn't kill. No-one wants to be stolen from, therefore you shouldn't steal. They are built on empathy and kinship which have been extremely important in our evolutionary growth.
If you followed 'Almighty' God's rules you'd be locked up in prison for life-or worse. This moral dilemma of yours is as fictitious as your religion
RPFS2008 2 years ago 2
Yes, but that doesn't prove the moral rightness of not stealing or murdering, only that it is of benefit to you. Supposing there was an advantage for someone not to conforming to those principles? Would it then be right. If morality is determined by majority rule, then what if you have a society were a society where paedophila is acceptable. Would it be right because that society has deemed it so?
What rules of almighty God are you talking about?
ukchristian28 2 years ago
If I was hiding a family of Jews in my basement and a Nazi soldier knocked on my door and asked if I was hiding any Jews, should I 'not bear false witness' and tell him or should I lie and say "no"?
Morality is far more complex than a stone tablet. It is always shifting based on concious raising. I'm not interested in State laws. Slavery used to be a law and we both know that the Bible is not exactly against slavery.
We know what is right for any given situation based on empathy.
RPFS2008 2 years ago 2
.... or atleast we try to. We humans are not infallible (some are more empathetic than others - it takes time and will for morality to spread through the society .
If you are looking for a perfect moral code, that suits every imaginable situation, try your hand at philosophy and create one. Well, before that put down the bible. Good luck
RPFS2008 2 years ago
Concerning your paedophilia example. That law wouldn't be moral, of course. As I said, morality is based on empathy. There's not much empathy involved concerning the child in such a law.
RPFS2008 2 years ago
wow are you seriously gonna use the moral argument...??

I appreciate your concern, Jason. I agree with what advice you've given him. Fight fire with fire, sorta.

Are you a christian or an Atheist?
joebevins1999 2 years ago
what, joe? An atheist making a comment like that to a christian!? It must be the end of the world...
iartim 2 years ago
Unlike Joebevins1999, FranzDuckVideos is not a fundie atheist and has a degree of fairmindedness and intelligence. He has the ability to see the pragmatic point of this video: providing something ShwaNerd could say to his grandmother, which there was a chance she might listen to, which would also not compromise his own atheistic stance.
ukchristian28 2 years ago
I know I wasn't mocking franz
iartim 2 years ago
I know:).
ukchristian28 2 years ago
I'm sure ShwaNerd wouldn't take advice from any fruit loop christian.
joebevins1999 2 years ago
Except the advice is actually for another fruit loop Christian. We fruit loop Christians tend to understand how each other think you know, or at least have some idea:).
ukchristian28 2 years ago
Well I'm glad you at least acknowledge christians are fruit loops.
joebevins1999 2 years ago
Oh dear, poor Joe can't recognise sarcasm:).
Instead of this nonesense you are spouting, maybe you could tell why my advice to ShwaNerd is unsound?
