@Weston1968 We did NOT beat the Germans. The Soviets did. 80% of the German forces were destroyed by the Red Army. Operation Barbarossa was a disaster for Germany. They attacked the largest country in the world without having 4 engine, long range strategic bombers like the B-17 and the B-29!! I do not know what Hitler was smoking.

@shasha1873 I meant we as in the allies! And yes your right the Russians swayed the balance when it came to a complete allied victory. But then again they did make the the largest sacrifice in the War as well.

The major problem for this weapon was that you required total air superiority to use it. It's lack of mobility would make it easy meat for a squadron of fighter bombers. Awesome yes, but not very practical.
