The concept of Newcastle United is a beautiful thing. The reality -- both the players (the team) and the organization (the club) -- of the 2008-09 Magpies was a disgrace in many senses of the word. Hopefully, their solid, clean start to the 2009-10 season will lead them back to the Premiership. But to say the club is still "up there" is a lie until Mike Ashley no longer runs it or becomes human.  Newcastle fans are better than Barton and Nolan.
