Bout a year ago my best friend and I split up (he was the one who turned me into a Xenite). So after that I never watched a new ep again. I've seen the 1st 3 seasons 1000 times, but I just couldn't bring myself to go past where he and I left off. I must say I too wasn't too fond of the episodes involving the killing of SOME OF the Olympian gods, and all the fuss around Eli / (Jesus)... In my oppinion it was at that point the series veered off into the wrong direction and lost much of my enthusiasm.

By the way, Xena didn't do a very good job either. Many gods still remained alive, like Apollo, Demeter, Hermes, Aphrodite and Ares (obviously), Hestia, Helios, Eris, Eros,... The writers of the series must have forgotten about them...

I also find it hard to believe that Xena, a mortal human woman could easily win a sword fight or combatant battle with some of the gods throughout the shows run. I can kind of see Ares getting his butt kicked by her since he had a deep attraction for her and his mind wasn't totally clear LOL. (At least on the fight ;).

you are right, there is no way that Xena could win a sword fight against a god, they had thousants of years to perfect their fighting (even the slower learner of the gods would be thousants of time better than the faster learner of the mortals). Realy the only reason Ares loses to Xena is because he loves her and holds back for fear of killing her.

I respected Athena, and I've always liked/hated/loved Ares. I didn't like watching the Olympians die. And Hercules didn't have to kill Zeus. He could have found another way. I respect Xena's power and deeds, but why is it all about her in the end ?

Right you all are. I was / am a number one Herc and Xena fan. The killing of the Olympians led to me stop watching Xena. The only episode I caught in the final season was the finale. A mortal shouldn't have had the power to kill gods. It all really started going south I believe when Callisto killed Strife on Hercules.
