@mashupcreator don't make case to this evan he is jealous of you, u made a great job and he is jealous (obiously) xD give him a thing like this one ".l."
@mashupcreator Nonetheless the comment was true. This comment would not apply to the so-called "soul" music of today whether the artist is white or black, obviously. But to pretend the circumstances that existed for blacks in the 60s and the music that was produced, nothing today can compare to it. They started getting close in the 90s but it's gone nowadays.
@Kandimann Several things were inappropriate with his comment: It was off-topic. Who's comparing anything?! He is, and he's comparing apples with oranges. Why should I care about his taste in music? There's nothing unique with being narrow-minded and conservative and not being able to appriciate many styles of music. And what has 'black' (in capital letters at that) got to do with anything? How often do you hear anyone talking back the excellent WHITE rock of Nirvana for instance?
@mashupcreator Well look, you have to call it "black soul music" because whites refused to buy it unless they remade it with a white version. It doesn't mean its specifically racist or saying that only blacks are capable of making soul music, but during Marvin Gaye's days and Tammi Terrell, "black soul music" was a definition white folks gave it, not blacks.
This blew my mind of many different levels, amazing.
