I think that this boss could have been made more difficult if the thing had a higher speed. I mean look at it, It has sort of a muscle car design but Robotnik drives it like a grandma. If it was triple it's standard speed Sonic might only be able to get one or two hits per pass.

Hey mate, thanks for the message. I also don't go much for blatant advertisement, but this was a pleasure to get. I'm a sonic fan from the Sega Megadrive days, and this looks pretty spot-on to me.

Perhaps have a go too at the final boss from sonic 2 or maybe the robot sonic that fights knuckles at the end of sonic 3 and knuckles. Hopefully I haven't over-geeked my message here, but I reckon you've got a talent here. Well done to not overdo it.
