  • I see the Game Show Network logo at the bottom of the screen, but i don't recall The Price Is Right, ever being reran on the Game Show Network.

  • @wheelrchair1 It was until 2000. Some idiot at GSN let the rights lapse.

  • I used to record in HD, but I took Vaseline to the lens.

  • why do men have so much what?!

  • clearly the mountain climber had enough and ended his job by suiciding

  • I think you're missing some pixels.

  • Gotta love the way Bob handled the situation

  • Filmed with a potato in a microwave wearing a tube of toothpaste, yada yada yada.

  • look at that pixel go

  • That's what they ALL say, it was the machine's fault...

  • wtf wafflers are like $10

  • Holy crap, Bob had hair!!! WITH COLOR!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @BJ29035 who the hell is sue ellen armstrong

  • @smashwhammy Muffy Crosswire did on The Price Is Right with Models.

  • recorded with a potato

  • I bet Roger was on the unemployment line the next day

  • Rodger is drunk

  • Nice pixel you've got there bro'!

  • Holy crap this clip is so old Bob Barker still has color in his hair!

  • Bob with brown hair??? Blasphemy!!!!!!!

  • @jcakblue He dyed his hair grey in 1987.

  • Bob as Host saved the day and made the fk up entertaining for the viewers, If it was perfect all the time it wouldnt be worth watching...

  • Roger got fired for sure

  • was this shot on a calculator?

  • @ott0Kitam i think it was a potato

  • @MrLovernumber1 Is there any way you can just wander off and disappear? I think all your family members and your one friend would appreciate it....

  • @MrLovernumber1 Hope you didn't hurt your tiny brain stringing those letters together...

  • I'm sure, off screen, Roger got one of those one-way-boss-to-screw-up-employee chats..

  • srry thought i erased my comment. wikipedia says the modern show started in 1972 but the roots of it go back to 1956.

  • @ketchup143 Thats fine. 1956, thats a while! I guess thats why they made such a big deal when Bob left. This new guy just ruined it.

  • How is it the 1960's one I watched had better quality than all of the 70's-80's ones?

  • @Idaho278 technology developers in 70's and 80's were busy getting high and living hippy life ... love no war :D

  • @hooliganx666 Haha! Can you blame them?!

  • @Idaho278 heck no .. i wish i was there back then :D

  • @Idaho278 the show started in 1971

  • @ketchup143 It wasnt this, it was another show Bob did. He sounded way cooler back then too.

  • That's what you get for putting a Polack behind the game board.

  • @tryithere that kind of talk is not necessary

  • @TDog14126 You mean because it's redundant?

  • @tryithere because language like that is so disgusting and unnecessary. we, as a people, need to stop using stupid slurs and saying hurtful things.

  • this vid is like 400000 hrs. out of sync

  • SO fired. That's what that guy is.

  • @cranie4 lol

  • "Sixty-one dollars, YOU DID WIN!!!"

  • WTF? Did she win or not?

  • @HoneycombAgent She won the machine had technical difficulties

  • Gotta love the HD-quality.

  • I can remember a game on the Australian show where after the 2nd item he was right on the edge meaning the 3rd item had to be the exact price, he got it and the car.

  • Roger Dobkowitz is now the producer of TPIR

  • youre fired

  • How can the cliffhanger go down and contestant still win? That's not really possible, and she was off by only $1

  • @mmucougar She didn't

  • @BabyPaulaPolestar Axtually, she did. It's just that the cliffhanger could have just stayed at the 25 level, but guess he didn't want to.

  • hahaha mistake in the middle of the show

  • OAD: June 11, 1981

  • bubut la bubut eh

  • "That's a STUPID MOUNTAIN CLIMBER!!" lol

  • Cliff Hanger when it first came out

  • The game wanted the contestant to lose... that's not fair :(

  • 1:45 What the f.....

  • Damn, that person controlling the mountain climber was wrong but Bob didn't have to publicly humiliate the dude like that. I mean he said his name and everything. Bob was a real douchebag. He often made mistakes and he was never treated the way his beauties and people on set were treated by him.

  • @vaibanez17 its a show so that means entertain, its hard to deal with shite like that and bob did a good job at that. i like the show where the guy says "youre fired"

  • dat hair

  • @glebs

    DAT ASS

  • but he died

  • SOMEONE MURDERED HANS!

  • Looks like Youtube fixed the audio sync problem or it was reuploaded.

But yes, cool to see Roger in his dark hair days.

  • Rodger sadly got fired after the end of this episode.

  • He looks so young...

  • Roger Dobkowitz was never heard from again.

  • at the end he beat his ass

  • Can you make the picture any grainier?

I could almost see the video.

  • operator fail

  • The audio is about 30 sec off place

  • agreed

  • ummm whats the quote at the end '' Why do men have so much...'?

  • Ahahahaha, I love Bob. That's great. But is that really a job? Like, they actually need a prop guy to operate all that stuff?! I always thought they were super pricing game automatons. Anyways, I want that to be my job. People would be like, "Oh I got tired of medicine so I've moved onto law" and I'd be like "Yeah I'm the Cliffhanger guy, yeah you know that show The Price is Right? Yeah, I do the cliffhanger thing". And I would win.

  • Well, you know what happened when they tried to use automatons. They couldn't reset the darn things for two weeks.

  • from 1981 with a $4 Double Showcase roger dobkowitz he's in charge XD

  • LMAO @ 0:30 ahahaha he prolly made a face like "Your as good as dead when this is over"

  • Another user posted the FULL copy of this playing!

  • i miss bob :(

  • audio a little out of sync?

  • Oh my God, they killed Yodelly Guy!

  • For a in-sync version of this video, look at this.

    v=sGGz7-H45MY

  • this is the worst sync problem i ever smelt

  • I uploaded this same exact clip and the audio is in sync with the video. :-)

  • O RLY? SRS BSNS?

  • I'm SRS. RLY.

  • um... where on your page is it?

  • Wow...how is it even possible for audio to be THIS off?

  • Comment removed

  • fix the audio

  • more out of sync, please!!!!!

  • HAHAHA!!

  • Comment removed

  • Aw, we should've gone to Plinko like Cleveland did.

    owai---

  • "A-ha-ha-ha-ha!A-ha-ha-ha-ha-OH...."

  • lol exactly what i was thinking

  • I noticed when I saw this from the orginiating source he got this from, it's in perfect sync! Maybe it's RandomMan's computer.

  • dude, the audio is out of sync by like a min. lol

  • Could the audio be any more out of sync?

  • @reverendmalibu I didn't know Chandler Bing was a fan of TPIR! :)

  • @reverendmalibu Yes.

  • lou dob's

  • Best Cliffhanger ending! Both the comedy lovers and winner lovers were happy!

  • I always loved it when the Cliffhanger always fell off the side!

  • me too. If I ever went on there I would make him fall off on purpose.

  • I think the mountain climber is moved with a crank that Roger is turning behind the board. I saw a top view of the game in a photo on the web once, and I saw that the mountain climber is connected to a chain that lays on the top of the mountain. Maybe the crank wasn't on tight enough that day and Roger lost control of the mountain climber.

  • That was dramatic. The technology was somewhat screwed up back then.

  • ok the song that plays when the mountain climber is climbing is off of something and its bugging the crap outta me pleassse someone help me remember!!

  • she had one dollar to play with...so she could have said 61 62 or 63

  • Can you spell? I don't think so.

  • She had to be within a dollar so she won.

  • Can't Stop The Dob!

  • NERD! NERD!

  • DUDE!!!

Shoes like that for only 19 dollars?

    Where??????

  • This was way back in the swingin' 70s. Prices have risen...slightly...since then. lol

  • Actually, I think this was in 1982

  • Why in the heck would anyone pay $62 for tableware?

  • Great TPIR clip.

Bob was the greatest of all gameshow hosts.

He really truely cared that we were entertained.

  • betcha Bob handed that guy his ass, as he was kicked off the set and fired.then went and skull fucked one of his beauties.

  • I heard Bob beat that guy within an inch of his life in the dressing room after the show. Mistakes were never made by that man again.

  • This is the only game on "The Price is Right" that I like it when the contestents loose because I like watching the climber fall off the cliff. If I were to make it on the show and play "Cliffhangers," I would loose on purpose by saying thet the first prize costs $300 which would be more than the amount that I am alowed to be over.

  • Now that's a great example of a pyrrhic victory. The contestant won the game but the mountain climber still falls off the cliff and dies!

  • this is my favorite game

  • bobs goin to hafta choke a bitch

  • Syd made the biggest mistake firing Roger. We will miss you on the show. Wow how young Roger was. I know Drew Carey was furious when he was fired.

Bob Barker is NOT dead just retired after 35 wonderful years of hosting TPIR. Miss seeing you on the show too! I think Drew is doing a great job hosting. Hope season 37 is great too

  • Someone's ass probably got fired over that.

  • Interesting note that Roger Dobkowitz was the producer of TPiR in its 36th season (with Drew Carey), and was recently dismissed by Fremantle. He had been the longest tenured employee of the show.

  • FIRED!!

  • they should caste a statue to commemorate this woman

  • LOL! So she won i think, right!?!? lol

  • Had One Too Many, Roger?

  • Bob Barker breaks balls.

  • WTF BOB IS NOT DEAD! On like 5 PIR vids I've seen u post RIP Bob and stuff like that. So SHUT UP! GAWD!

  • Hi, I'm an attention whore. I was ignored in school so I spam youtube to make up for my lonely lot in life.

  • and so will you if you stop saying such shit

  • I would have to say it was sometime from 1980-1984, b/c in 84 the dob became producer, and before 1980 the show set was different.

  • I'm thinking 1981-82 because the price of the Waffler is the same in a clip from 1981, In '82-83 the waffler was 2-3 dollars more.

  • Nah mate, your computer just sucks!

  • wrong, his internet connection is slow

  • idk but its in the past :]

  • 'roger was about to get his ass canned, i bet he was lying.

  • Guess what...Roger did just geat his "ass canned" by FremantleMedia.

  • Did'nt Drew Carey name him Hans

  • Well, he usually calls the climber either: Hans or the 'yodelly guy'.

  • I always liked Cliff Hanger.

Way better than dang ol' Plinko.

  • :( I love plinko

  • You tell 'em, grandma!

  • Oooooh, you kids these days with your cell phones, segways, and fax machines :-P

  • This used to scare me when I was younger.

  • You kids with your rock and roll music and your eight-track tapes!

  • Don't forget 8 tracks!

  • Never mind...Shoulda checked a few comments before. :P

  • What are those?

  • *sigh* Just Google it.

  • I thought she was way off on that last prize when she said $61 turned out to be $62. Nicely done but poor yodel man still crashed.

  • Just think how old the machine is now!

  • now that's real excitin' moment

  • How Many Bullets Do You Think Production Guy Was Sweating?

  • Yeah, I could imagine he got chewed out pretty bad for that one.

  • First time I have ever seen Yodel Man fall off the cliff and the contestant win. Instead of hearing the crashing sound you hear winning dings. Probably blew both of their minds when she found out she actually won.

  • Roger deserves to be Executive Producer, get rid of Syd.

  • my feelings exactly

  • The cliffhanger falls...Janice runs to her dressing room to cry (if this is pre-1984 because of her 1st husband who died in the mountains of Pakistan/Afghanistan/USSR/??? in 1975) and then we find out he's ok and she puts the tissues away ;)

  • Or perhaps someone in the audience knew the price from watching the show loyally??? Duh.

  • Wow. You're intelligent.

  • Oh yes because nobody watches this show regularly.

  • Yodel Guy!

  • Oops, Hans forgot his parachute again
