in a interview with corey and martha this is what they said about the romance between them in the film.

corey:i think shes the greatest thing in the world and through the course of the movie she starts liking me more. but i never wants to tell her how i feel about her until (delted scene)on the ship when she offers me her air i finally tell her.

martha:stefs relationship with mouth is a real love/hate kind of thing we dont get along unless we are in a life and death situation.

This is a reference to a deleted scene, showing the plot holes this movie leaves.

While on the plank, before Sloth saves them, Mouth admits that he can't swim, and Stef promises to give Mouth whatever oxygen she has left.

This scene isn't available anywhere that I know of.

Stef: How long can you hold your breathe?

Mouth: An hour.

Stef: Be serious now!

Mouth: Actually...about 10 seconds. You were always the champion of that underwater stuff.

Stef: Clarke(Mouth's REAL name)?...When you run out of air, just turn your face to me and I'll share whatever I've got left.

Mouth looks at Stef. Mouth is so touched that for the FIRST time, ever he CAN'T speak!
