Well Bush got a second term so you never know. But I definitely agree that the U.S. seems to swing back and forth farther to the left and right each time. I think that might be due partially to the fact that a president can only serve two terms. Eight years is just not enough time for a person to make all of the changes that each side wants to make. It seems like they start implementing policies but can't stick around long enough to see them through.

Well Bush got a second term so you never know. But I definitely agree that the U.S. seems to swing back and forth farther to the left and right each time. I think that might be due partially to the fact that a president can only serve two terms. Eight years is just not enough time for a person to make all of the changes that each side wants to make. It seems like they start implementing policies but can't stick around long enough to see them through.

Just finished seeing this debate for the 3rd time. What strikes me as strange is how distant her hubby is from her and how neither one of them held the baby. The daughter held as if it was her baby lavishing attention and calming the little one. It makes me think that some incest has happened here! Not only was she not paying attention (she was reading whenever she wasn't talking), it just didn't matter what the question was, because she was allowed to give any answer, related or not. The format of this debate sucked. The candidates need to engage each other and be able to ask follow ups on the opponents. I have been noticing over the past many years since I have been interested in politics that you can pick a liberal/democrat out of a crowd, the same as you can a conservative. And you could see it in the camps last night after the debate.
Obama camps, women are generally overweight, sloppily dressed trying to hides the rolls of fat, men looking disheveled, shirts untucked, clothes not fitting, etc.
McCain camp, most everyone looked well dressed and groomed, nice looking man & women, respectable
