He was very happy around the lbdas days...actually looked more loose than he did playing with sublime. Think the shortbus days mightve done a toll to him...

My guess is Eric's just stoic my nature he never seems to have much emotion...but then again his basslines are kind of complicated, and as a bass player myself I do notice that when playing something hard I kind of clintch my teeth...which results in my looking very emotionless...maybe thats whats happening with him...or hes just stoic like i said earlier.

Back in the old days he used to smile and shit looked happy now he doesn't even talk anymore! I swear when I seen sublime with rome he just sort of played the set..and left..bud did too. Only person that was willing to talk to anyone was Rome...and who the fuck wanted to see him anyway,.

@Toony678 Erics my neighbor, actually he takes his musicianship, very-very seriously - "he psyics out" and does his parts... his dad was a pro drummer, so your seeing strict disipline... Bud also is into the perfection -so your not going to see much clowning - its just not them..

he still does smile and joke at the gigs, but not while his playin a song, i'm sure hes missing Bradly being up there with "Sublime" on this tour. he may have made a conscience decision to tone it down because Bradlys not there anymore... our mutual friend explains it best;  "Eric don't give a fuck about fame or this whole rock star crap - he just chills out .. hes just Eric... and that why we love him."

Eh, I love him because that guy can play the hell out of a bass guitar. If you're really his neighbor let him know that although he was not the reason I picked up bass...he is the reason I started actually playing th bass.

@Toony678 hehe, he gets that allot - yes hes spawned allot of Bass Players, all the records were done with Jazz and p-bass- not the Sabre Musicman

_ I've worked on all his newbases that you see on this tour with Rome, I also did this with most of Romes guitars - I hand wind the pickups do the electornics and level and crown the frets to prefection,

+ for the P-basses and Jazz bases and we put in Aguliar 0P1's in all of them,

Eric says Bad Brains and Mike Watt were big influances on him,
