Donovan was a special case, someone we could not but in a box, he was not in the beatles and rolling stones kind of music of the top crop. But we just could just not like what he was and still is, a great musician. A kind of guy you wouldn't tell your friend's or your producer that you like him. Except for the last note, the soundtrack is identical to the original studio version made in the 60's. So it can't be a live version from 2010. Maybe he doesn't sound as good anymore. Who does this fake "editing" anyways? I have heard it before with other artists on u-tube.

Like everybody else, I can just say how disappointing it is that this is just the record with them all pretending. But, they did a freaking great job of it. Wow. Donovan without the overdub would be better. The production is too slick. The dancers haven't a clue how to present the 60s, which glowed with sexuality, yes, but it wasn't hardcore - as many today seem to think. Partly that's because of the giant corporations that are repackaging the 60s today & the over-60s who have forgotten those days or have themselves changed. I can see Donovan struggling with that 'hardcore' stuff, as he is a genuine musician who remembers that decade well.
