  • If it was that easy, I wouldnt be on here looking for info on how to remove a drum that has siezed up.

  • this was an easy one... show one where the shoes created a nasty groove, and the adjusters are rusted in place so something has to be broken to get it off and then everything has to be replaced

  • Yeah that worked, i hit the hub n it pushed it back on, great advice mate

  • not much help. old cars are different

  • wow, that made it look easy, heading out to my car now.

  • why are these videos not in order, (numbered) 1. 2. 3. 4. ect. - its a nightmare to navigate.

    good videos,terrible presentation.

  • @ned900 because expert village is shit

  • a hammer is still the most useful and versatile tool today. if all else fail try hitting it with a hammer.

  • ooh nice..... that was smooth.

  • Thanks for this video. I spent an hour trying to do it through the little hole w/ two screw-drivers. Much appreciated.

  • what about the 'undo the adjusters' part of the video ...guess that was left out of the script huh!

  • it is extremely hard to remove the drums from my rear drum brakes. It is really rusted....any suggestions...i tried what you said but still does not work!!!!

  • @praj43 Get a torch and heat it up, then hit it with a ball-pean hammer.

  • Thanks. Video helped me.

  • I have try everything to take that off. Until, I remember I could find some help here on youtube. I will try it on mine I hope it works!

  • instant pressure release!

  • Ditto - hammering straight on did not work. Here's what did work: What I did was take two claw hammers. I put one claw inbetween on the edge of the drum and the dust sheild and hit that hammer with the other. Worked like a charm.

  • mine have two scews instead of the clips and one of them is badly stripped, can I drill it?

  • i work at a garage and this happened to a vehicle i was working on, all we did was drill out that screw and replace it

  • ok! That crap didn't work on mine!!!

  • remove your hand brake dude lol

  • Nice :)

  • Thanks Dude i'm going to try that right now.

  • Nate, thanks for this tut. I ended up saving about 250 bucks doing this myself!

  • it takes a little more effert than that to take the drum off.

  • @extrememan123 just a little hahhahahah

  • I also know on some cars you can use a long bolt(of the proper thread size for ur drum) and screw it into the brake drum. when its tightened, it will force the brake drum off outwards

  • awesome, thank you very much. very helpful, hope you have more vids
