  • この曲でpunksになりました!最高!!

  • slf the best fuckin night you can have with your clothes on or off

  • I fucking love how they just break into some Beach Boys shit half way through the song!

  • Jake Burns = hottest punk singer ever

  • The Clash and Stiff Little Fingers greatest bands ever !!!

We had to do a project for music at school, and I presented The Clash and SLF. But nobody heard of them...so so sad... :(

  • @JoeStrummer94 same things has happened to me at my school when I have used The Clash, SLF, Ramones, etc. for presentations everyone stares at me and asks me how I can like "old music" like that!

  • @rutaloot unfortunately, I do know what you're talking about....

  • Jake Burns..."doesn't everybody"?

  • Saw them last Monday and still buzzing from it, they were amazing as usual.

  • seeing them this saturday :-) should be fuuuun

  • Actually they are 'protestant Ulsterman' by background but really dont subscribe to the ususal bullshit of either side. There whole ethos is a plauge on both your houses so this usual secterian dros claiming them as 'one of yours' is just bollocks. listen to the Jake burns interviews!

  • Blasted by her booby traps... I felt the blow in both kneecaps!

  • I'm a Celtic fan, so def not a fan of the 'Ulster says no' shit, but this is just a great track! Lots of raw energy, a classic punk track, so don't get too het up in the politics and history, its just a pop record for f*cks sake....

  • SLF are too cool for school but this thread ROCKS... Was gonna punksurf the Tube but started reading the comments.

Thanks guys... It's the funniest thing since reading Please Kill Me!

  • they are not Irish fools, they are from Ulster, being from Belfast makes them British not Irish.

  • @66laird well put.

  • This band is Ireland's greatest creation to date closely followed by Dropkick Murphy and Flogging Molly.

  • @Onyonghasayo Britain's greatest creation.

  • @MsTheFonz Actually you are incorrect my friend. They are from Belfast, a city in northern Ireland.

  • @kimbo8012 nice one kid

  • the only people who bitch about theese bands are the conformist moderists that have been brainwashed into thinking they are always right and that we give a damn about them and their opinion

seriously theese guys paved the way so how about some respect?

  • And ever my first love!!!

  • Can anyone say this is bad music?

  • @MrSambillabong a total self righteous dick can

  • unparalleled song then & now

  • I gotta take a piss...

  • THE BEST BAND EVER...THIS SONG IS A TESTAMENT .doo wop 2 oi...great ability 2 go from 50s tame to 80s agnst...viva ira

  • @13irishwench.I agree, beside the Clash the Fingers are the greatest band

  • well for one, the sex pistols arent good at all. and i dont even consider the clash to be punk, they play too slow, too much like classic rock. the ramones are good, but half they're songs arent punk, not that they are bad, but it's classic rock, such as "rock n' roll highschool," that pretty much spells it out. and stiff little fingers is not so bad, this song and "gotta get away" are pretty the only ones i'd listen to because it keeps a good tempo. and yes punk has to be atleast remotely fast.

  • @prissboy91 so your saying the ramones and the clash are not punk??? do you know what punk was all about? you saying to me that white riot isnot punk? fuck off ya little prick.you aint no clue about nothing

  • @guttersnipephil im not sure you in between the lines. yes i dont consider the clash punk. but the ramones are, although not all of the ramones songs are, like "rock n' roll high school". it wasnt bad,, but that was borderline classic rock. and yeah i know what its "all about". but i dont just confine myself to only one genre of punk. there are bands that are 3x better than the ones mentioned

  • am lucky cos i saw the boys 1980 dublin tv club 19th nov might have the year wrong long time ago but by fare the best gig i ever witnessed it brings tears to my eyes to remember fucking the best act of all time

  • ace

  • can any body tell me what kind of bass they have in this vid

  • @jesesiordia Ally McMordie is playing a Guild B-301.

  • legendssssssssssssssss

  • Lo maximo!! recien los escuche el año 1986 con un casette, despues de tantos años veo un video gracias!!

  • Love SLF. Can't wait till 16th March to see them again at the Lemon Tree

  • any tune what these lot sing is true to our day n ageeeeeeeeee gd1 lads

  • I have always wanted to hear social Distortion cover this song. I think that Mike Ness would rock this one.

  • i just love the way you spelled ga ga wrong. so punk

  • beats lady gagher anyday

  • barbed wire love snags my jeans .... ! 8)

  • Now that's REAL Rock n Roll...

  • love the 1950's style break down in the middle of this song!!

  • thats like the best part

  • i think i remember u2 as the suport band to SLF in coventry 1979 ... inflamable material one of the 1st albums i bought .. been playing it loud today ...quality ...jake's a legend

  • Yep. U2 owe a lot to SLF.

  • i can remeber watchin slf as unknowns in belfast.fuc im old but there still awesome

  • @mcfchamster SLF are unknown im 18 and i love them people think ive lost it but music was good back then now its just shit

    HANX god bless SLF

  • i was at the first ever gig they did on mainland britain awsome live group

  • ugh this helps a little. thru what im going thru.

  • Oh really.. How nice.

  • hold fast

  • i'm just in my element!!! Seem em twice, totally in love now as the 1st time back in the day !!

  • Wow, best live version of this EVER! And that's saying something considering the "Laurel and Hardy" breakdown on the version on Hope Street (and Foxton was bassist on that one, second greatest bassist of the 1970s behind Lemmy (mainly because Lemmy scares me).

Nice to remember when Jake was skinny.

  • liberate palestine,

  • the Clash were the greatest, no one can compare, the reason they were great was the fact they had different influences, not just punk but reggae and blues. seeing SLF tonight and looking forward to it, should be good! oh and aivopark do you know who Stalin was?! ignorrent cunt!

  • the clash where good but the pistols where the greatest - didnt realise slf where still gannin

  • fuck you valceanu its posers like you that keep bad music alive

  • it's called freedom of expression dumbass. they can sing about whatever they want, be it politics or something else. if you don't like it then don't listen to it.

  • didnt also SLF intend to write only political songs in the beginning? songs about the problems in northern ireland?

also: why should music leave out politics? you mean art shouldnt deal with political problems?

  • Clash was stalin rock.

  • eh I think debating what's "true punk" and what isn't is a little futile. The Clash were like Woody Guthrie--their image was very much calculated, but their hearts were still in the right place. They make more sense in a greater rockist scheme than they do just as "punks," I guess.

  • I saw them a couple of years ago, they were really good. Such a good song.

  • I just found this band. I have only heard three of their songs so far. Good stuff ! I will be back for more.

  • This explains my love life.

  • i absolutly love this song [:

  • "The world's most angry band!"I still love them!BLAHblahblah to any disbelievers

  • Stiff Little Fingers make The Clash look just like the sell outs they turned out to be!!! Don't get me wrong, the 1st Clash LP is great but after that you could tell they were in it for the cash!!!

  • they were interested made music..songs..leave their messages to their fans...the money is consequence dude!!!everyone need it...

  • Comment removed

  • MrChattyO - i disagree, the clash got too intense with their message for many but they have stayed true to Punk - do what you wnat and say what you think! If a musician makes money as well good on them.

  • I disagree

  • this song kind a helps me get over it little bit.

  • why is everyone so negative about the sex pistols? Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Ramones and The Stiff Little Fingers are all great punk bands, and have created some of the best music of all time.

  • hell yeah a agree totally with you...

  • @mushroomanchilli

dude I think that's what they parents or grandparents taught them when they lived back in late 70s...and they hate Sex Pistols,The Clash,SLF,Ramones just because they're diffrent from them, diffrent way of living. If music was so horrible why does it still exsist??

  • Comment removed

  • @noke439

punk music was horrible, that was the point!

  • @mushroomanchilli

I so agree with you.Their music is amazing and everyone should appreciate it.

  • @mushroomanchilli Totally agree

  • @mushroomanchilli people are negative about the sex pistols because they were a manufactured band built to cash in on a youth movement that stood for everything malcolm maclaren wasn`t

  • @bainty666

'cash in on a youth movement'? what are you on about? the youth didn't have a movement until the pistols came along.

  • @mushroomanchilli well. Because of all the bands you named only one sold out as bad as the sex pistols.

They pissed on everyone else, then sold out. While that may be punk, fuck them. (also their music sucks imo)

  • @mushroomanchilli people are negative bout them not to my knowledge i just hate when non punks define what punk is as being the sex pistols there are many flavours and sorts of anarchy combined with punk which allow individuality punk is the individuals collective

  • Excellent, love this tune :)

    Especially the middle :)

  • Yeah! I know what u mean.....

  • they weren't shit... they were punk.

  • im tangled up in barbed wire

  • blades92 (3 weeks ago) Show Hide

Theres not that many punk bands that are amazing musically,

what the fuck/ theres laodsa punk bands that are brilliant musically! you must be listenin to shit fake poser faggot shit!

  • There's load of punk bands that are amazing musically. You'd just need to be a good musician to actually understand that though. The faggot who wrote that has probably never touched an instrument. He needs to listen to some Aus Rotten...i bet he couldn't fuckin sing like that.

  • God, I LOVE this! Best ever SLF song! Great seeing this again...the memories it brings back. Fabulous!!!

  • sidsings000 Pistols are/were crap! They were the first Boy Band!! Put together by an ass called Malc McLaren.. (Ramones showed them how it should be done) SLF are STILL rockin!! Goin to see SLF AGAIN Glasgow Barrowlands... (The bands favourite gig...)!!!

    That brings back memories..

  • Was born in 1965 ya numpty.. Pistols were a BoyBand. I ain't a moron, because I can talk (and hear) sense...

  • Hanx is a top album, probably the greatest punk album ever made.

  • the drummers my uncle :D he called jim reilly :D

  • if the sex pistols had had no talent they would never have got famous in the first place, there were so many others doing the sama thing they would have just gone under, but they were original musically and in what they said and did

  • going to see them on March.

    exciteeeeed!

    =D

  • this one, alternative ulster, and nobodys hero my fave. i think this song was probably the most popular one from STL in the US

  • what i dont get is that yur havin a conversation about lydon the only reason lydon is on that ad is coz punk is dead and i hate admitting it but it is and he cant make money goin around sayin oh yeh i used to be a singer in a punk band he wont get money doin that so theres yur argument solved
