The only people to suffer from "Mapathy" used to be console players. On the PC versions of CoD, we always had tons of custom maps.

Why did they remove modding now? They are so moving in the wrong direction. Starcraft 2 will have a map editor even better than the WC3 editor, and that game is still begin played, only because of all those cool custom maps and mods. Same for all the older CoD games (even cod 1). Cod6 will be dead in like 2 years from now.

The only thing I find laughable about all this is that MS gaming division are so threatened by Sony that they have to shell out extra money to developers who are cool with making games for both systems, just so they can get that pathetic "timed exclusivity," when in reality, it's not hurting Sony...at all. Maps shouldn't be about visuals, immersion, or interesting design, with things that seem like a fun idea at first and just get way too boring later. They should be made with paths in mind since the very beginning - and every single point on the map should have over 5 possible ways to get to the other point. Also, camping spots should be Very Very volatile positions to dis-encourage people from camping. Oh, fuck it, you know what, just delete sniper rifles from games altogether and that's it.
