hey i have a 68 c10 and want to make it 4x4 can you tell me what i should get for axial and any help you can give me to help make my project a little bit easy would be great this is my first build attempt so please help me out
did u have to cut the crossmember near the transfer case? my 67 long box was converted, and a crossmember was cut, someone attempted to make it strong enough but i have alot of frame flex, the cab and box have hit each other many times, just wonderin if theres supposed to b alot of frame flex or if theres a solution?
@jgrose9 Yup, I did a modification to the center crossmember. Keep in mind the frame is a 68' 2wd, so I ended up adding another crossmember (transfercase). And as far as frame flex, I beefed my up and it still flexes.
That truck is bad ass. I have a 68 chevy k20 stepside longbed. Mine is stock but still will tear apart on of these new pieces of shit they call trucks now days. Keep her running, that truck is great.
I dont like short-beds with such high lifts & 36" or higher tires,...just makes it look like a tonka toy. I just would have custom built mine a little different. But cool though!,..keep these old chevy's alive
you know instead of the shity music you could have narated this to tell use what the fuck we were looking at and then this would be a really good video.
By the way that truck is damn nice. I built one almost 20 years ago but mine was green with white top
