Is there a set ratio between the nano lubricant to oil carrier in each bottle of SlipStream that you see works best? Does it work better with more nano lubricant, or is a little that disperses with shaking sufficient?
That's a good question. We've been playing with this a lot... we've found that a little goes a long way in most applications... but the amount of Nano Lubricant needed depends on the surface metal being treated. In most cases, a little is all you need... and if you need more, just wait a couple days and apply a little more. Done.
Also, the treatment works better "the day after". Feel it the second day, it's better than the first. Yes, that's very strange, has to do with "bonding".
Here's one more question: After trying this stuff and telling my friends about it, I've thought about how awesome it would be to get the permanent treatment done to my 1911 once y'all get the pistol service details all worked out. My question is, since my 1911 has a stainless finish and the nano lubricant has a dead grey color, what are they odds that the finish will get changed? Not too concerned about the color of the innards, but would the external finish change after the treatment?
The treatment would only be applied to the inside of the slide and along the rails on the frame. But any overspray would be just like overspray when painting - but you can't remove it.
You'd have to talk to Joe at Crusader for those details.
I think I just might buy some and try it out on my Wife.....I mean guns.. Seriously though will Slipstream protect against long term weapon storage. I have a brother in the USMC and acquired all his weapons so I wanted to clean them up real good and store them
I'm ready for Styx! Still in the testing phase?

i might consider this for my m&p 45
famasdan 1 year ago
@famasdan Well, do you like your M&P45? If you do, then go for it. If you don't like it, then just use RemOil.

@MadOgre If he doesn't like it he might as well use sand for his lubricant

@darwinner007 Yes, there is a specific ratio and it's totally classified.

If i wanted to tell the difference between a Glock & a S&W, i'll just read the brand names on the guns.

Militech or Slipsteam....any thoughts?
I used to use some Shooters choice FP10 and "dabs" of Rem oil .....and a bit of bearing grease on the rails.......
heavensarmory 2 years ago
There is no comparison between Slipstream and Militech.... None. It blows militech away hard.
FP10? You'll give it away.
Rem Oil? You'll only use it for door hinges.

@MadOgre
I'd like to see a comparison of Slipstream and Militec.
If you can convince me to buy Slipstream over Militec I'll order it as I need some lubricant.
Was going to order Militec. Hopefully you can do a video soon.
