  • Yes, the. "cylinder bushing" can,and is allowed, ( with out hurting the gun) to come out, it is just there to relief stress on the cylinder and make it easy to clean

  • Great Pistol, after seeing this I bought a 5.5 inch in 45Colt at bass pro on after christmas sell for 426 bucks! too bad it was the last one they had I'd go get another at this price and quality!

  • @MillerMp1 Nice!

  • Uberti makes the hammer 4 clicks--C-O-L-T same as COLT!!! Nice.

  • @POPEYE23232323 Sorry about the tardy follow-up. grabagun, ableammo, cheaperthandirt and budsgunshop (all DOT com) carry this brand although some under the name Cimmaron or Taylor's and co. All are made by A. Uberti from Italy. Just follow their "how to buy a firearm" instructions. Good luck with your purchase.

  • should make another video like u said. i know id like to see another

  • @dredank Work has been crazy for the last several months so I haven't been able to get out there and make any more video's. Please take a look at my gun collection video and if there is anything you would like to see me review let me know. Thanks for watching.

  • The "base pin sleeve" is more correctly called a cylinder bushing. It is designed to take all the wear from the base pin rotating inside it, so that if/when the bushing wears out, you only need to replace the bushing instead of the whole cylinder. But I've never heard of one wearing out. :)

  • @whitethronebooks Thanks! Very useful information.

  • That piece it come's out so you can clean it and oil it

  • Nice video. Did you have a reason for choosing the 357 over the 45?

  • @ClintAndPootsGuns Thank you. The only reason I chose the 357 caliber over the 45 LC was simply ammo cost. I shoot 38 special out of these guns as well as my 1873 Winchester clone and as you know its much cheaper then 45 Long colt. Also, there is hardly any recoil with 38 so my follow up shots are a lot faster. Only reason I can think of choosing 45 over 357 would be if you are shooting in one of the classes of SASS that demands authentic calibers, black powder and correct period attire.

  • Well Im sold. I will have to get me one.

  • @offonroad Good luck with your purchase. Glad I could be of help.

  • Also if you look in the paperwork that came in the box of the gun you'll find an exploded diagram, if Im not mistaken the base pin is part #187

  • Hey Friend, Great Pair you've got, glad to hear your entering into the action shooting community, keep us updated on that, also don't be alarmed by that cylinder sleeve it's called a base pin, try not to loose it, it's only $15 new. Best Wishes, Joe

  • @jockeyshiftjoe Thank you so much. I see it now, it's part #187, the base pin sleeve. Seems solidly seated on the other cylinder, strange enough. Yes, can't wait to join. Will keep you updated.
