  • I heard gene simmons has a copy of london after midnight since that movie inspired his demon persona for KISS

  • wow i cant beleve a film can change a pice of history i got so in to silnt films one nite i was up to 3:00 reserching when i came across info and it turns out i am related to the person who played victor frankenstine......BRAGING RITES :)

  • the guy who made this film (Thomas Edison) actually made the world first porno film as well.

  • London after midnight looks legit.

  • Do Georges Miles' adaptation of Voyage to the Moon! Although it's not a monster movie, it's ground-breaking Sci-Fi!

  • Featured videos: The whole movie.

  • i dont know why but i now have a script for a action comedy fil about a boy and his friends who travel to different periods of time and steal stuff

  • It's like insta-monster

  • Take it easy on him guys, he's only got five minutes!

  • Never and I mean never will ever consider Mary Shelly's Frankenstein a Science Fiction, it's an insult to the franchise and hell she wasn't the original creator but ripped it off from the Brothers Grimm. If that shit was creative, then hell she would've been able to make more stories of Awe, but instead she didn't because she is only an amateur writer who couldn't even be creative. H.G Wells will be the first one to create the Science Fiction Genre for he was truly ahead of his time.

  • @AtmendeDekoration well he's gonna kick it again/before it gets kicked by some 1 else....yeah makes sense right? if YOUR A FUCKING MORON!!! jk :p

  • james if i ever becme a director ill propely remake london aftr midnight respectively all for u

  • "It was banned because it was too shocking for the time."

  • INSTANT MONSTER! JUST $9.00

  • If I could have a time machine for 5 minutes, I would invade bush's school while he is a kid a kill him

  • @GabXriel8 thats brilliant!

  • @YFZriderdude15 I wish I could say the same about my english I wrote while" he is a kid a kill him"

  • @YFZriderdude15 I miss the " too

  • @WorldTurnBlack Why? Just because they're black and white? You're really missing out.

  • It really is interesting watching this film, with the knowledge that it was made more than a hundred years ago.

  • HAVE YOU EVER DONE ANYTHING ON ED WOOD &/OR PLAN 9?...

  • Godzillathon was Monster Madness 2.

  • 2 years later titanic sank.

  • monster madness 3? was there a monster madness 2008?

  • @knucklesp yes

  • @knucklesp in 2008 it was godzilla-thon

  • @knucklesp yea godzillathon

  • Whay did it say monster madness three? are their two more?

  • @thereptileking1 Obviously? But yes were 2 Monster Madness(es) to come before this. Then, there was one after. And right now he is doing one. You can check 'em all out on his website.

  • im watching all of these 1-31. i just found out about these last night -_-

  • @BULLdOGG86 same

  • 101 years for the first Frankenstein movie!

  • 0:47 Sugar, spice and everything nice

  • 0:12 WTF IS THAT THING

  • @extremeeXrement1 A really shitty b-movie effect.

  • @extremeeXrement1 i have got to find out where thats from

  • why does they only rewiew like over 40 old years movies in monster madness? thats why i dont understand, there is so plenty of new horror movies now days so why the old ones that looks like shit today? -.-..

  • @WoWfan924 name one good horror movie from the year 2000 to now

  • @maxtheaxeiswax Trick r Treat (2008)

  • @maxtheaxeiswax Rob Zombie's Halloween remake?

  • @nightbane2 good choice, but try one that's not a remake. I'm thinking of one right now.

  • @maxtheaxeiswax The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra (2001)

    It's a tribute to the 50s.

It's good because it has everything the 50s had.

Bad acting weird plots and aliens.

  • @nightbane2 YOU WIN A BRAND NEW CAR!

  • @WoWfan924 Because the best horror movies came out then.

  • @WoWfan924 because they are more interesting then the pieces of shit you call ''horror'' today and this is like the second time i have seen this comment from you so quit your bitching and just don't watch

  • @WoWfan924 It's because of the significance of the movie and the plot, not the visuals in these cases. And most monster madness reviews are 1970-2000 so yeah.

  • if you look closely, the 1930's monster's fourhead was probably inspired by the monster of 1910.

  • If I could have a time machine for 5 minutes, I would definatly reach back and grab a copy or two of London After Midnight!

  • @TheGeoshark Don't forget to kick Hitler's ass when you're there

  • @nonh1 So you also believe that rumor that Hitler collected all remaining copies of London After Midnight and burned them shortly before he shot himself?

  • @nonh1 Yeah! Kick hitler's ass and then save JFK The world will be better for sure :D

  • @TheGeoshark I would try to get it restored so people would be able to see it

  • @TheGeoshark if you have it for 5 mins dont you have it forever its a time machine!

  • @eivellordsm2 ... Quiet you!

  • @TheGeoshark just sayin

  • @TheGeoshark

wouldnt it be kind of odd to have a time limit on using a time machine?

  • @TheGeoshark Don't forget to destroy LJN's compony while your there ;)

  • @TheGeoshark How? There was no such thing as home video back then, so what would you break in and steal a reel or two of the movie?

  • @zombiefan011 exactly!

  • @TheGeoshark Get King Kong in Edo while your'e at it too!!

  • @TheGeoshark maybe sleep with ms monroe while your at it

  • @TheGeoshark do you want to kill Hitler with an ACR or a Barret 50 Cal?

  • @goldenbird12345 Kill Hitler? .. . No. I have a better idea, .. bring him back to the present and let him kill Adam Sandler and all the lousy hebes who're stinking up the motion picture industry today !

  • @voluminoushead888 Just as along the way in doing so he kills the guy who suggested Ironhide dies in the third Transformers movie

  • wait, Thomas A. Edison a creater of all products, films and business

  • Pure Awesomeness, Matt.

  • AVGN please do Tremors for 2011. That is an amazing classic that deserves to be in Monster Madness.

  • @MrInsanity25 yea tremors RULE!!!!!! except for the 4th one i didnt really understand it as much..BUT STILL TREMORS FOR MONSTER MADNESS 2011!!!

  • @IAmTheDominicanGeek 4 was like a prequel. Plus, they wanted to show the viewers what came out of the eggs of the Assblasters. There is a Tremors 5 script but Stampede hasn't let them make it yet.

  • @MrInsanity25 I thought he was going to review it for Camp Cult! He needs to review Tremors and THEM, the Oscar Nominated 1954 film about giant ants. That'd be awesome!

  • @SonicThunderBYG When I saw cult I though "There's no way he couldn't review the ULTIMATE Cult Classic." But alas it was nary here nor there. Hopefully it's done this year. He obviously knows Tremors exists with the Bronson cave montage at the end of one of his monster madness videos.

  • Dude, what's the spooky opening music called??? I need to know

  • Amazing.

  • There was never a DVD version of London After Midnight.... AWWWW!!!!

  • An electrical fire burned the vault and destroyed hundreds of silent films, including A Blind Bargain, The Big City, The Divine Woman and, more famously, London After Midnight.[1] Early talkies such as the Technicolor scene of The Broadway Melody, Chasing Rainbows, The Rogue Song, or the uncut version of the Laurel and Hardy short Blotto and the early Three Stooges musical short Hello Pop! were also destroyed at the fire/ here's your explanation

  • Monster Madness 4 is on Cinemassacre.

  • I disagree. This isn't the first horror film and the first is always the most significant(if not best)

  • @zayyed1234 that was a recreation made by rick baker

  • dude you realy know your horror movies

  • @zayyed1234 your point is

  • pause at 0:20. apparently frankenstein is a character from star wars

  • I've seen this (:

This one guy has it up on Youtube

  • @ThePepsiBoy138 what channel

  • from what I've heard from people who saw it, London after midnight wasn't that good of a movie

  • It's pronounced Froun-ken-steen - Gene Wilder

  • I've seen it, it was quite interesting.

  • "its alive" from windows 98 plus horror channel theme

  • I looooove your cinemassacres monster madness series <3 seriously your good at makeing those coments to moves and some of your previews got me into the mood to watch some of them like the evil dead. Thumbs up!

  • THOMAS EDISON STUDIOS wow talk about old school.

  • the making of the monster in this film looks like a weird puppet being burned in a fire, but played backwards

  • JAMES:

    YOU KNOW WHAT'S BULLSHIT?!

    Blip.tv adds

Before, I was able to skip them, but now, if I want to watch this marathon on your page I have to watch the SAME STUPID AD OEVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER!! I don't even live in the US, why do I have to see them? I can't even buy their shit.... thank God for YouTube...

    Because blip.tv ads.... are BULLSHIT

  • @TrapnestShinigami Too bad for you, those adds are how James and any other Blip user gets revenue money for their work. Using Blip myself, we all have the option of disabling adds on any video we upload, so, actually, James is the one to blame for the adds. I hearby deem your lack of knowledge BULLSHIT!!!

  • @TrapnestShinigami

    Firefox+adblock=no more bullshit.

  • thumbs up if you think cinemassacre sucks

(that means give this thumbs down)

  • oohh ik now this one it;s sooooooo funny XXXDDDD

  • Meh, I have seen much older.

  • Monster Madness 1 started in 2007 with The Cabiner of Dr. Caligari.

Monster Madness 2 started in 2008 with Monster Madness Godzillathon.

Just in case you guys are confused why it says Monster Madness 3 and what you missed.

  • 1 known surviving print? I need to go garage sale digging to prove you wong.

  • 101 now lol

  • A beautiful film for it's time. It's on YouTube, so everyone go watch it.

  • watched it, for a silent, really short, 100 years old movie, it's good.

it's certainly interesting, i recommended to least give it a try, it's public domain, so you can download it for free(or see it directly on youtube, it's in the recommendations.)

  • sometimes i forget that james and avgn are the same person when i watch these things

  • Wow. A hundred years old. Damn. Just...damn.

  • did he make a monster madness 2010

  • @ethanT911 yes but its on his website

  • @ethanT911 yes and its about all the b movies and unknown movies XD i only knew a few from the list its on his site cinemassacre . com

  • THIS got banned!?

whoa imagine if some one takes a time machine and showed the ppl of 1910 a movie like SAW! everyone would pprobably die of fright!

  • short film ITS 12 minutes

  • i saw this and loved it

  • I loved it!

  • LuckyStrike502 deserves a cookie. He's done 1 more step to bring the Youtube horror world to harmony.

  • It;s amazing to think that this movie was made before both world wars, and over 100 years ago.

  • 1910! WHAT THE FUCK? ARE YOU SERIOUS!?

  • Silent movie? Get the fuck out of here.

  • Wow this is awesome! I want to watch both the 1910 Frankenstein and london after midnight. I better get the delorean ready

  • Makes me sad when there are movies that we'll never be able to watch from the past ´`

  • i never knew this film existed

  • @dexxybaby i've seen it , its really cool!

  • its on youtube

  • the last cpoy of of london after midnight was destroyed in a fire in 1967

  • @avadakedavra45 do you know why?

  • @icjburke no i read it on wikipedia and it said it was destroyed in fire in 1967

  • @icjburke Because fire tends to destroy things.

  • @Pilaf1984 i was asking why or how it got burnt ...

  • @icjburke There was a fire, in a warehouse, and movies were lost. There's no "why"..it just sort of happened.

  • @icjburke it was destroyed in a fire. celluloid film is very flammable and is known to spontaneously burst into flames

  • @ethannintendonerd thanks!

  • @ethannintendonerd yeah and i bet you learned that like everybody else in inglourous bastards when they it the theater on fire with the cigerette

  • @soisyourface1234 no. it's actually a common fact. sorry i haven't seen inglorious bastards yet.

  • @icjburke he said in a fire...

  • @icjburke Why?

  • @avadakedavra45 The last KNOWN copy. You know how they found Nosferatu? Bram Stoker's Widow saw to it that the last known copy was destroyed, but years later a BOOTLEGGED copy popped up. The chances of it not being around, SOMEWHERE in the world, are slim.

  • @MrSaturn33 I don't think any full copy of Nosferatu exists. When I watched it, it said that what I was watching was a reconstruction, I believe it was reassembled somehow.

  • @Amityrockstarx It seems pretty full to me and I've watched tons of reviews and done tons of research on it, come back with 100% proof...

  • @avadakedavra45 lon chaney fans still have plenty of hope. you know where they found the last known surviving copy of "the passion of joan of ark"? the janitors closet in a mental institution.

  • @avadakedavra45 i heard they found a print in a barn somewhere in paris guess that was a lie

  • @avadakedavra45 are you a fan of harry potter? your username gives it away

  • @detroitboy911 well a little what about you do you like harry potter.

I really liked it when I made this acount LOL

  • @avadakedavra45 kinda

  • @avadakedavra45 GODDAMIIIIIT!!

  • @avadakedavra45 how do you know?

  • @werewolflover14 I saw it in this horror magazine and one of the sections was lost horror films and london after mdnight was one of them

    very unfortunate

  • @avadakedavra45 thanks for telling me, and yes its very sad, cause i wanted to see it.

  • @werewolflover14 I know it is very sad

  • @avadakedavra45 HOW'D IT GET BURNED? HOW'D IT GET BURNED! HOW'D IT GET BURNED HUADIGETBUUUUUUUUUURNED?!?!?!

  • @MsDeadCorpse well a fire broke out and the fire destroyed it

  • @avadakedavra45 the las "Known" Copy......

  • @ThatEccentricguy what is your point and my comment has got 51 likes thanks guys

  • @avadakedavra45 you said the last copy was destroyed in the fire, which is true, however it is posible that there maybe a a surviving copy somewhere that no body knows about, that's what i ment by "last 'known' copy"

  • @ThatEccentricguy ok now your just making excuses to my original comment

  • @avadakedavra45 what do you mean by excuses? im just saying that there is a possibility that London after Midnight still exists somewhere, if thats what you originally ment and i just misread it, then im sorry

  • @ThatEccentricguy this conversation/arguement is over now

  • @avadakedavra45

    why did you said that?

    =*(

  • @DrMoRoZz because it's an old silent film

  • @avadakedavra45 no matter what you say, my search continues!

  • @TheBump465 Well tell me when you fail your serch

  • @TheBump465 never give up. it's imposible to completely destroy something: it's like genocide

  • @lenrat117 or like all the villans in slasher movies who die but come back!

  • @TheBump465 precisely ;)

  • So is this the first horror movie ever made?

  • @sharkperson1

and to salvage the monologue at the end of "Dracula" (1931) among other things!

  • 100

  • Too Shocking!!

When I get a time machine, I'm going back with a dvd player and a copy of the human centipede

  • The monster in this film looks like the one from Frankenstein and the monster from hell... but with hair.

  • Somebody needs to invent a time machine so we can get back london after midnight

  • @sharkperson1 as a matter a fact there is 1 remaing copy its called the hypnotist and its just a different name

  • Does anyone know the name of the music that's played at the beginning of (almost) all the 2009 monster madness videos? Anyone who's played the NES game Wizards and Warriors might recognize it as the music that's played when you fight a boss.

  • I'm actually surprised they left this verson out of the Legacy Collection

  • Are thrre a '08 and '10 Monster Madness? I really enjoy James's vids!

  • @AndrewKH85 yeah there are although the 08 is a godzillathon and the 010 is only on his site cinemassacre

  • I didn't know Frankenstein was made like that or looked like that. I didn't even know that Frankenstein was this old.
