At the time that Mosaic law was written if you could catch or buy a person, you could do with them whatever you wanted to. A slave had no rights and their life had no value. The point of the story of Lazarus was for Jesus to show that he was sent by god, having power over death. Buddha's lesson was that death is an inevitable part of the cycle of life. Jesus didn't raise Lazarus to comfort the woman. That was a mere side effect (if you believe the story which I don't).

This analysis and conclusions would in fact be correct except for one fatal flaw in his reasoning. He assumes that to alleviate suffering was the sole purpose of Christ’s miracle act. That was simply gravy, the point wasn’t to show compassion to Lazarus or his sisters, but to reveal GOD’s glory and show his own power and mastery over death and the universe.

In each story, Jesus and Buddha had different meanings to impart. Buddha was (based on what you say), showing that everything dies. Jesus, however, was making a statement of who he (Jesus) is. Lazarus goes on to be living example of the power of Jesus to the people in the area for many years. The "wiser choice" is relative to the goal. Jesus and Buddha had different goals for each event.

You know my friend, I know some people they go to work all day (8hours mim) and some work two job and we expect them to volunteer at a local shelter or a home, I think that would be too much for them. At the time that Mosaic law was written if you could catch or buy a person, you could do with them whatever you wanted to. A slave had no rights and their life had no value. This passage is making a law that killing a slave is not only wrong, but actionable.

No there were laws that made it where the jews could beat to death the gentille slaves(not jewish slaves). Deut 20:10-11(forced slavery). ex 21:20-21 (beat slaves to death) Lev 25:42-46(do not rule over jewish servants with a rigour ). Nice try but that law on kidnaping was only meant for jews not for gentilles that had no rights.Jews didnt even consider gentille as human(see talmud)

the slavery described in the Old Testament was quite different from the kind of slavery we think of today - in which people are captured and sold as slaves. According to Old Testament law, anyone caught selling another person into slavery was to be executed:
"He who kidnaps a man, whether he sells him or he is found in his possession, shall surely be put to death." (Exodus 21:16)

If you are a true Buddist then you should respect Jesus becuase they both preach peace and morality. I am a Christian but I still hold the Budda in high regard because he is the closest human figure to Jesus and renforced many of his teachings.

The point of the story of Lazarus was for Jesus to show that he was sent by god, having power over death. Buddha's lesson was that death is an inevitable part of the cycle of life. Jesus didn't raise Lazarus to comfort the woman. That was a mere side effect (if you believe the story which I don't).
Despite not believing in Jesus's miracles, I like his teachings. And Buddha's too. But this video is stupid and you should remove it to avoid embarrassment of your own ignorance.

This analysis and conclusions would in fact be correct except for one fatal flaw in his reasoning. He assumes that to alleviate suffering was the sole purpose of Christ’s miracle act. That was simply gravy, the point wasn’t to show compassion to Lazarus or his sisters, but to reveal GOD’s glory and show his own power and mastery over death and the universe.

In each story, Jesus and Buddha had different meanings to impart. Buddha was (based on what you say), showing that everything dies. Jesus, however, was making a statement of who he (Jesus) is. Lazarus goes on to be living example of the power of Jesus to the people in the area for many years. The "wiser choice" is relative to the goal. Jesus and Buddha had different goals for each event.

You know my friend, I know some people they go to work all day (8hours mim) and some work two job and we expect them to volunteer at a local shelter or a home, I think that would be too much for them. I think we should do 1 by 1 just like Mother Teresa said. If people can't help with the money maybe they can volunteer at a local shelter or a home. If they too busy to go to work to support their family then maybe they can join the sponsorship program to help the poor around the world.
