  • hey Rizzo893, Supposedly the battery life is only 1000 hours. Since this vid was up in 09, how did the battery life hold up?? did you have to buy a new one eventually? I want to get one

  • Dude is way easier if you plug in the sensor into the iPod

  • Will this work with my iPod Touch Gen2, Gen3 software?

  • @DemonicWeapons I just used it with my ipod nano from 2003 or 2004. I have also used it with my ipod touch 2nd generation on the latest software. you'll be fine.

  • What is the name of that app

  • @TheKtmaster922 u'll fin it in settings

  • WHATS IS NAME OFF APP WHO SAY Nike+Ipod review ????

  • @daunisfelds Its built in just go to settings....

  • i got mine the other day and i have a nike plus shoe, and i got it connected in under 2 minutes

  • i have an important question please answer, if i take long strides or short strides would that effect my stats, like distance?

  • @extinctpanda Nope. I have a certain course that i run that is exactly 1.5 miles. I have walked and ran it and i come up with 1.5 each time.

  • free runners are 90 something dollars, light weight durable and great running shoes also nike plus

  • Whats the app called with those words scrolling on ur iPod

  • @manlymen361 it's build into a ipod touch and iphone :)

  • ima make a duck tape shoelace pouch for it

  • Is it necessarily to wear nike shoes?

  • @TheAfroninja246 no, it even says it on the apple website, the part that plugs in is only for ipod nano, shuffle, and incase your ipod touch doesn't have it built in, but i think the new ones (like the 4g) have it built in. search on the website if your not sure

  • Good Review but I'm still not quite out of doubts cuz I have da iPod 4g and idk wat 2 do??? Help, plz!

  • @LeonelaS14 I too have ipod nano 4g (Hope you meant the nano 4g and not itouch 4g). Anyways its just amazing. You should totally go for it. I think the nano suits this kit more than touch and iphone since its more portable and easy to carry. And I love running with it.

  • Good review

  • Once i found out you used this device on an incorrect shoe and just put it in your sock, I immediately thumbs down and went to the next video.

  • I saw there are pouches around, and ppl attaching to the shoe with velcro. I got a Nike+ shoe from the start, the entry level are about 70-80$ (got mine in €)

Yep, sometimes doesn't connect but that is not so much of a problem.

The big problem is the Nike+ website upload: too many times servers don't receive the data iTunes is sending, and for some stupid bug iTunes then thinks it send all data, so you loose runs. I got -100km run in my account. Fuck.

I read about a Reebok alternative one time.

  • TAKE OFF THE IPHONE CASE

    THIS WILL FIX THE PROBLEM

  • How can you say that needing a nike + shoe is a problem? It states that you need a nike + shoe all along, no wonder it didnt work in your sock. Dont think you can claim that that is a problem

  • does it work for the 3G? not 3Gs 3G

  • For ipod touch do you need both parts or just the round thing? (2nd gen)

  • @Musicmixer1994 I'm looking for the same answer, have you found out yet?

  • @Musicmixer1994 just one

  • cheers for the review!

  • I workout at the gym so I don't need it

  • do you need that connector thing. please reply soon

  • uhm...where did you by the ipod stand? and what's it called..? nice video btw :) gonna buy it a soon as i get some money...WHERE DID YOU GET THE IPOD STANDQ?!?! please answer :P

  • U can tape it real god to ur shoe

  • @xXSquealingPigsXx to your first question no. The ipod touch doesn't need a reciever for it to work, all you have to do is turn on Nike+ on your ipod by going to the settings menu, then sync the sensor which takes like two seconds. As for your other questions, I have no answer to them, I would search online it shouldn't be hard to find info about them.

  • does the ipod touch 4g need the reciever??? and what if you don't have a Nike Plus shoes??? cuz i'm not getting a new pair of shoes for quite a while??? :/ any1 have anyideas where i can put the sensor???

  • @xXSquealingPigsXx Ansswer for the second question. stick it in the laces of your show, preferably in a thin sandwich bag 1st to make it water tight :)

  • HolidayHelm!

  • Go to HolidayHelm's Channel!

  • don't need receiver for ipod touch 2nd Gen

  • Yeh but I hear if you reset you network settings it should connect

  • that happened to me too, the sensor wouldnt pick up on the iphone, but it worked just fine with the reciever+ipod

  • where do u get this

  • @jcjv2010 you can but them at sports authority they have everything you need or get it on apple.com

  • Nice running shoes...

  • 25,000th viewer..

  • Sweet=) Nice Review!

  • @vern718 no it won't work with a droid because it is not made by apple, doesn't have a plug to attach the receiver and doesn't have the software

  • BREAKING NEWS: FOXBUSINESS AND CNBC ANCHORS ARRESTED FOR ILLEGALLY MONITORING PRIVATE EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS.

THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN SOON TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW.

  • does it work with the droid x

  • Dumb ass the sensor didn't pick up from you walking around or shaking it because your suppose to have it put in the right shoes....

  • @jordipusx right... cause the little slit in the shoes that you put it in makes it work so much better. dick

  • apple stores also have just the sensor not just apple.com

  • omg i feel like an idiot i have spent so much time with my finger on the ipod touch screen thinking that that was the sensor

  • @coiscarraig1234 i did the same thing. i felt like a dumbass

  • Owww u need a sensor didn't know that thanks man I'm soooo buying it

  • I have a nike + shoe and i didnt know it had a space for it. Im gona go check it out. Also my nike + running shoe was like 30 or 40 bucks.

  • now i get it , you need a sensor, i dident know that xD

  • maybe you need to change the battery in the sensor? :/

  • I had I think second generation iPod Nano, worked with the reciever and I quite liked the whole thing (in Australia we had this competition where every school competes, the most distance walked by the school wins). I tried with my iPod Touch, without the reciever (just the shoe thing only), I had to wait a long time for it to connect, so I gave up.

  • what program did you use to jailbreak your iphone, and what firmware are you running it on?

  • ipod touch 2g doesn't need the receiver either

  • If that doesnt work with bluetooth imma personally walk on my hands to the maker and kick him with my fist

  • You dont even know what are you talking about man you have to do a deeper reserch before make a review and the iphone 2g doesnt need de receiver.

  • I just bought Nike+ shoes they are Nike Air and they were on sale for 60 dollars USD

  • I just bought Nike+ shoes today they are Nike Air

  • youre i phone is ugly

  • Just download istep, it's free and more accurate than the Nike + iPod crap

  • From what your saying, this thing is not worth buying, if you really want to keep track of your miles, jut

  • Hi man how do you use the spotify playlists on nike+?

  • do you need to buy a sensor seperate

  • Inaccurate review, he says in the beginning he wasn't using the proper shoe so the iPod wasn't picking up the sensor. This would also be the same reason why he couldn't get it to sync with the iPod out of the box.

  • ive got a question whats the app that you had on your ipod touch/iphone that was saying "Nike+iPod review"

  • do you need the sensor receiver for the ipod touch 3g

  • The problem with it on your laces is

  • good review. i just bought a pair of nike + running shoes and im looking to buy this sensor to motivate me into running more. your review helped me alot :) thanks

  • can u not wedge the sensor in-between your laces

  • sounds like ypur sensor is abit broken

  • Thanks. Great review :)

  • Aaa! came on do u want me to buy al of those stuff only to run one mile. I'd rather chose the music and work out :P

  • Does the Nike + iPod app support landscape?

  • thanks!

I think wont buy it because my shoes are already bought: Brooks!

  • Ok guys...allrite guys...so guys....k guys...... yep think you get the point

  • What about the iPod 3rd Generation?

Will I need to buy the reciever also for that? Incase you didnt know that is the little white thing that plugs into your iPod that he said not to buy if you have an iPhone 3GS ;)

  • @TheSeenbeen i think you do lol, i have just spent an hour with my ipod tied to my foot walking around and nothing happened... oh well, at least i got the excercise

  • does the receiver work with the iPod Touch 1st Gen?

  • @Applemaster4051 nope i thought so too but no it doesnt i own it

  • do u need the reciever with ipod touch 3g

  • @bushbaby852 nope i have it

  • @bushbaby852 no because with ipod touch you got wifi getting connected with the nikesensor

  • what about 32GB does it need receiver

  • i have nike+ shoes but not that kit :(

  • Naaa he rong ipod touch 2g and 3g dony need the receiver

  • the ipod touch 2g and 3g dont need a reciever

  • Without the sensor, Nike + iPod would even work..

  • can you buy the sensor without the receiver?

  • you dont need the sensor for the ipod touch 2g

  • You don't have to get a Nike shoe for the sensor to work accrately. You can buy a pouch that holds the sensor and wraps to your shoe laces on the outside. Or you can make you own my taking a sandwich ziplock bag place the sensor it in roll up the bag then place it under yur shoe laces.

  • where did you got the S-Stand from? Thanks

  • About you home screen - how do you set the option to have 20 icons on your home menu instead of 16?

  • You have to have a jailbroken iPhone and it is called 5 icon springboard.

  • @MonkeyShxt DO NOT JAIL BREAK YOUR PHONE!! It sucks when you do!

  • @MrCdc74629 I was never actually planning on jailbreaking. I had just recently got my ipod so thought maybe there would be on option for it.

  • @MonkeyShxt You're phone won't suck it's gonna to be soo much better you can use third party application and download games for free

  • How did you get your screen like that I know you got to jailbreak it but what did you do

  • It was an app in the appstore called banner.

  • @Rizzo893 where do u get this ?

  • @danlana09 online. or at a sports authority store at the mall

  • How di you put yor screen like that I know that you gotto jailbreak it but what did you do

  • helpful info thank you

  • What's that sound at 5:19? It sounds like a chicken lol

  • If you have problem connecting sensor to iPod / iPhone just press button on sensor for 1 second. By holding button on sensor for 3 seconds you will tern it off.

  • I noticed your iPhone has more apps per page than normal (i.e. 5 across instead of the standard 4). How did you do that?

  • jailbreak it

  • iPod touch 2nd gen does not require the sensor.
