Wow! This *REALLY* takes me back! Had a major crush on a girl and we actually danced to this song! Ah, the days of junior high school. That's a real ride in the wayback machine!
What's so scary is I still know the words! I had to make my Mom buy me one of these Jackets too! I hung up the poster from the album onmy wall and my 2 brothers threw darts at it! I cried to my Mom as they laughed....Good Times(sarcasm)
love this song..love the album...I've had the vinyl forr 22 years now..got it at a store that was THROWING IT OUT!! Rescued it from the flames. the whole album is great and I loved her on "Family" (my first crush!)
totally. i think hollywood was such a great place full of talented people and tabloids, egos and down right morons ruined it for people who were good (Kristy). her leaving because of a stress induced disease proves it!
I remember this album I used to have it! Thanks for sharing it I remember my middle school dayz. I am still a big fan of Kristy & Jimmy too bad they aren't still recording.
Yes, the Carpenters heard this version, liked the song, and decided to record it themselves. It wasn't released until years after Karen's passing, on the "Lovelines" album (1989). You can hear their version here on YouTube.
LOL This is the first time I've heard this in MANY years!

Wow, this brings back memories. My brother had this album and was in love with her. We used to call her Kristy McPickle and he would get so mad. LOL.
