Use of a backbone chassis does not an esprit make. It's not even the same drive layout for Christ's sake.

And I can't even figure out why you mentioned the M1. It's four years late.

The thing about painted DeLoreans is that they are either a custom job or the were painted because their full of bondo!

These cars were bare stainless steel from the factory like a kitchen sink! So they never had paint.. so if you got a dent the only way to fix it was with a whole new panel! So the cheaper option was to fill the dent the old fashioned way & paint the whole car.

The factory did infact electro plate two cars in 24k gold!!

The De loreans in houston are made from original parts from when the factory closed, engines, body panels, it is a brand new 25 year old car, yes they do refabe some old ones, but you can have one built out of new never used parts from 25 years ago

I don't know if he's actually buchering them. the hovercraft looks like it was made from parts of wrecked cars. The 4X4 looks like a truck frame that he just mounted a DeLorean to using the suspension mounting points. The only one that's actually cut up was the roadster. It took away one of the cars distinct features, but the outcome looks quite good. The only thing I wonder is, did he modify the doors to use convetional hinges like Mercedes did when they made the 300 roadster and is there a top

The Delorean shown in the begining at 0:33 has turbo charged Buick Grand National engine. He's also building a Delorean limo with a stretched frame. I agree with most of the people on here though. Keep the original look of the car. Car is too beautiful to be wasted on crazy conversions. Unless it's the BTTF car, then that's another story.

Sort of, I think the crew that made it was part of a failed build to convert a delorean into a hovercraft. Which is probably the same as in the video, Jesee got pissed and called em all failures, they simply placed a delorean body on a hovercraft. :F

So the team tried building a rock crawler, then went to a quarry to test. They can blame the rain but poor driving was the culprit. They drove into 2-3ft boulders at speed then wonder why it broke. It was pretty painful.
