america is so funny.. apparently the land of the free market and capitalism, but the banks are bailed out and 90% of mortgages are backed by the government.. sounds like communism to me!.. why did you bother to defeat russia, when they had the system that you now support! hahah
The problem isn't that we "allowed" Lehman Brothers to fail. The problem is we didn't allow the others to fail as they should have.
What is being called a recovery isn't. Dump in trillions of dollars and you can create false prosperity for a while. The Great Depression had a big drop, a "recovery" and then the bottom dropped out and that's what we'll see again, probably even worse.
We don't need more regulation. We need more accountability so companies are careful about their investments.
The recession was clearly a conspiracy plotted by those at the very top...its funny how bankers bonuses are being blamed, or even the citizens for taking out loans...anyone who thinks this recessions happened unintentionally is a fool...we have to realise the Wall Street crash of the 1920's followed the same suit, we are being manipulated on a HUGE scale...they will use TV and reports like this one to try and hide the truth, but the fact of the matter is, we were forced into the recession
Capitalism allows things to fail, in this case things should've failed. But, as an increasingly socialist government we don't. And what do these businesses do take even more risk.
The problem here is the government, not the businesses per say.
Scandinavia is the future: more taxes, more services, equality and peace.
