  • All special forces are cool.

  • Wonder what year these videos were produced. Judging by the part II looks like early 80s, maybe late 70s.

  • At wht age should you join the seals and how long before that should you start training?

  • Awesome video.

  • if you fail do you have to join the navy as something else?

  • @jumpthenoob they assign you a backup job and if you fail at buds then you go to that job

  • this is very cool, and it reminds of my great grandpa, he was on the first SEAL team ever

  • I'm currently in the DEP (Delayed Entry Program) for SEALs. Can't wait until I leave!!!!!! Hooooya!

  • @standoucheman I noticed that this was posted a year ago. How did you fare? I'm currently considering joining and I would love for you to relate your experiences if you could. =)

  • When the SEALS are about to enter the bunker, the "enemy" soldier at 3:43 looks like he only received a shoulder wound. There was only one shot fired/heard. Wouldn't he be a possible exit threat?

  • That was the fastest rope rappelling I've ever seen. Also, a great image on what a Real SEALs life really is. Thank-you.

  • When I joined in 93' this is what they showed me on my p3 day of boot camp. I passed the test on try 2 went to buds 191 and had no idea how tough it was. Got my ass handed to me. At least I tried and have the balls to say I failed. I should have prepped better I guess.

  • Was there any thought of not giving up?

  • I love that old school stuff!

  • is this the 1980's or 1990's?

  • 80's

  • a huey?

  • Wow awesome my Grandfather was an early UDT! I need to keep the UDT/SEAL tradition in my family now!

  • Haha same here. I have cousins in the SEALs. I want to be one really bad, and i have to keep the tradition alive ahah

  • Hey Don, were you in this? haha

  • Ah, the M14. I'll always remember a SEAL describing it as "this is NOT a puny m16, this is a full sized battle rifle."

  • It take two bullets from an M-14 to kill a bad guy.

The first one knocks the tree down he's hiding behind... and the second bullet kills him...

  • I wonder if that helo was from HAL-5, the predeccsor to my old squadron HCS-5. We supported the West Coast SEAL teams and also we went to San Clemente Island for a week to fly the third phase students to assist in some of their training. This was back in the early to mid-1990's. Man, I sure miss those days. The UDT/SEAL instructors were very professional and really cool to us and one taught me how to climb the ropes the students have to do before entering the chow hall.

  • Damn, this thing is so-so EIGHTIES~!

  • holy shit, i blinked at 3:28 and next thing i realized there were five guys on the ground!!!

  • Not a SEAL Squad... A Sniper Pair...

We used the Mac 10's when we swam because they fired from the "open bolt" position and allowed water to drain when we excited the water.

The gear one guy is dragging contains the Sniper equipment and rifle.

    Very accurate depiction...

Don Shipley BUD/S 131, SEAL Team ONE, SEAL Team Two

  • I apologize, I left a swift comment before I watched the whole video. I noticed after I commented that it was a sniper and spotter. I was wrong.

  • @Buds131 But the two seals exiting the beach are not carrying MAC10's are they? Based on the sights and the barrel grip, my best guess is that they're carrying either UZI or micro Uzi's.

  • Man, I remember this vid from WAY back in the day ! Good find !!!

  • Dont let it just me a dream man, train, workout, go there, and live it

  • I love Navy SEALs! Man, what a dream come true it would be for me if I could ever go to BUD/s!
