thanks so much for posting. this is a clip from the movie "flirtation walk", a fine musical from 1934. the movie also had one of the best hula(?) dance scenes ever. i can't find it. do youhave access to it? if so, please post it
I am not crazy about hawaiian speak but this guy could just stand there and breathe and he would be a heart throb. He was so majorly kewl. Thanks for the posting.
Pleased you enjoyed it. Dick was a heartthrob in the 30's. Later in the 40's, he was cast as a hard hitting detective "Philip Marlow" never to return to singing roles.
@neverknewtillnow Yes, I know. I was madly in love with him as a young girl much to my parents dismay and truly brokenhearted when he passed away. Well, at least we have some of his music and films left to enjoy and reminisce.
It's so nice to know there are other Dick Powell fans out there. He was so wonderful at everything he did!

@56BIGM
Per your request, I have gone back and retrieved the clip and posted it under "Hawiian Luau". According to IMBD
it was Warner Bros. largest production number to date.
