I have been through 2 volunteer departments and I am paid FF for a large city in TN and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that best training I have received thus far was Cpt. Ellis and all the guest instructors.
I went to this course as volunteer in Ga. All I did was the FF1 mod 1 portion and it was great training. Cpt Rusty was a great instructor and I still remember things he taught me. I'm a paid FF now in TN and I leaving today for the TN Smoke Diver course. Something I would have no idea about had it not been for the guest instructors that helped us learn who were GA Smoke Divers too. You guys have a great training program there. You should appreciate it because I have been through
is this the forscyth academy? I was wondering because I volunteered back in 07 with columbia county fire/rescue and am about to reenlist never got certified because i was deployed to kentucky for civilian training i was leaving the national guard at the time. also is it true after volunteering for aprox 6 weeks or 6 months you can get sent to the academy and the county pays for it? I would like to know thanks brandt
Many good times had at the ol' Georgia Fire Academy! That fire ground Hydraulics class was a little rough though! Touch up on your math before taking that one!
