I use to live very very close to the sixty third street station near Ashland Avenue. I remember when the Sixty third street station was built. Many a time did we take this route to Downtown as a child.
I've been down to East 63rd on a sunday morning, It is pretty freaky down there all though the train was empty. And i live in DC the subwary here has so many problems and is so expensive. I also remembering it going faster than this

@ranus69 we do but its not like the subway its an elevated section running from the loop (center of downtown) to the Howard transfer station where you can catch the Skokie shuttle or the Evanston trains. The Evanston line runs on the express tracks and shares with the Brown line for a stretch (evanston is purple, skokie shuttle is yellow). We run a max. of 8 cars in normal service. Perhaps you saw a weekend train with 4 cars.
@ranus69 It all depends on the time of day and what line you are on. This I'm sure was a day where there wasn't a large presence of people. Usually you will see 8 cars (max) on a train.
Man, these subways literally cut through buildings and neighborhoods at such a close proximity. Here in D.C., our subway is about half underground and the rest either at grade (on the surface) or elevated (but not through neighborhoods though)
wow... i've mean on a Light rail in L.A. that moved faster than this train...
is it just the green line that moves this slow? i'm a native new yorker and are trains seem to move way faster than this, no offense, maybe its just a bad line
@Angel7black i say the blue line goes fastest, it goes 65mph on the street, elevated, and subway and it goes through neiborhoods really close to houses.
@Angel7black i say the blue line goes fastest, it goes 65mph on the street, elevated, and subway and it goes through neiborhoods really close to houses like 3-5 feet away
@josephvanorsby78 Blue line trains are not allowed to go more than 55 just like on any other CTA line and on Elevated they can not run at more than 40
@Amtrak1194 i ment to say 55, anyways like i said in your other video, my uncle operates cta trains and the fastest they can go is 60 mph or the speeding alarm will go off.

@Angel7black on the elevated the trains are not permitted more than 40 at max but I'm not sure about the green line. (Green line is the southwest side and I live on the north side).
I live a few blocks north of the Green Line, but oh my frigging gosh, do I hate it! Wherever I am going, I usually take the bus to the Orange Line station, and take the Orange Line to my next destination. I have heard too much horrible BS about the Green Line and actually seen some BS, and I wasn't exposed to the settings which those who live near the Green Line have been exposed to, so the Orange Line is for me, while the Green Line is not!
it's not for blocking the train if it derails, it's for track workers to use when trains are passing.
in chicago the catwalk is the metal walkway between the two tracks, they also have catwalk boxes where the track workers can stand, you see it at 05:34.
When I took the Green Line as a student in the late 80s/early 90s, it was the Howard-Englewood-Jackson Park line, also referred to as the "North-South Route." Not only was I the only white kid on the train, but I couldn't take it when it wasn't rush hour. When I took it early in the morning or late at night, I was at risk. I got mugged nineteen times in four years.
I forgot too It was the North-South Route Englewood-Howard the A train, and Jackson Park-Howard B Train. Is too they torn down Jackson Park over there at Stony Island

the green line sucks its dangerous one year the train went of the track because the tracks were to old the train could have exploded
