@yoryiboy1 I actually like Rapture more. The Katatonia influence is evident but Rapture went to the "catchy path" that Katatonia lost after Discouraged Ones, after that album Katatonia wasnt the same to me.

No live vids here on YouTube to show them live to Americans like myself who can't see them. I love Rapture. I got Songs for the Withering from a Virgin Megastore when it released on an impulse. I was instantly hooked. I just imported Silent Stage from Finland and it just arrived. God damn I love this band!

It's great. But I prefer These Past Nightmares off this album, and Transfixion off the second album, and To Forget off the first album. The first two albums were more Death, the lastest one has a lot of clean vocals.

Dark Metal is a depressed black metal, its more like Shade Empire. Daylight Dies are Melodic Death Metal, their definately not Dark Metal.

I mean it's more influenced by doom, check out Throes of Dawn, i'm pretty sure that's sad music (which is what depressing means, it has a strong element of sadness), thats what i meant by depressing. Dark metal is a very loose term anyway.
