Nice video, excellent Flying. Is it still legal to apply chemicals with helicopters and planes in the USA? I'm from Denmark, and applying chemicals from the air has been illegal for many years.

Like everyone else, the Bell 206 w/spray boom & video are pretty cool! Shouldn't that pilot be holding to the collective correctly & not palming it? Get rid of the stupid, dumb-assed rap music! I know theres probally a reason not to but why not use a high boy sprayer with big booms i know it aint cheap for a helicopter to spray btw does anybody have pricing per acre for this type of spraying

An airplane is about 4 dollars an acre for 5 gallons of water. This is putting out about two.

damn thats cheap but we never have anything to spray after planting accept sidedressing nitrogen and you have to put it inbetween the rows and our fields are way to small a really big field around here is only 100 acres we have big farm plantations I guess you could call it with 4 or 5 thousand contiuous acres you could do it there but 5 thousand times 4 is 20 thousand dollars lol 5 years of that and you could own your on brand new deere but I guess there will always be a need for planes

Best Heli vid on youtube. listen to these lot...... if the engine fails.. if the engine fails... He isnt fast or high, which granted makes for no real auto, but he isnt gonna drop far anyway, besides sometimes engines dont fail!!! if your worried about crashing learn to fly a hot air ballon or blimp and not heli's. That pilot knows the b206 very very well. awesome vid mate.

Nice vid! In most flight profiles (fixed or rotary) the pilot is toast if the engine quits.. however in most cases this guy could've gotten away with a well executed hovering auto.. even in a jet ranger with a relatively light rotor.. that said, keeping the airspeed up is more safe ;) *drop the music*

That is without a doubt the scariest ag turn I have ever seen. If his engine quits there is no way he is going to live. He should be keeping some forward airspeed all the way around. Not only is there no recovery time it's twice as hard on his tail components.

Hey Josher...if you're a heli guy, stick to hauling ass and trash. Ag pilots are some of the best heli pilots you'll ever come across...most are vets with thousands of hours.If you're not in the H.V curve, you're not making any money.Also, one of the reasons it pays well is that there is a managed element of danger to the job...the guy in the vid is a solid stick...he's controlling the ship and power with grace.BTW,an ag turn is easy on the tail if done right! Nice vid dmo!

hey cropduster man, Im a second generation Journeyman ag pilot, fourth in my family I fly 58's 206's and Allouette II's, this guys ag turns suck!!!!! They get the job done yes, but forward airspeed should be brought througout the turn. This guy isn't doing an ag turn on some of the video turns, he's just doing a scary ass pedal turn. maybe he was just doing it to look cool for the video. PS his pattern sucks too. I like the video though DMO.

I'm with josher here. pattern looks pretty bad and his turns, althought neat on video are neither correct, or the most efficient. I'd recommend a helmet and for F#$% sake hold onto the controls properly. Josher, what area you flying in? only allouette II's i know of are in CA.
