Well I saw the video in another site and I have to say that is a massive thievery of Peter Watkins' film "Punishment Park". Gavras should try something more original, because I believe he is qualified. The song is a bit old fashioned (pop-gabber style with some additional atmospheric elements) and I like it. I dont like the song, but the video is extremely powerful. Respect to M.I.A for being bold and brazen in her message. To me the message is simple, it's just a shame that so many seem to be missing the point entirely. It's talking about the mindless brutality of governments at times. Rounding up redheads? She's trying to show how stupid and cruel it is when they do the same thing to minorities all over the world. And yes it's disturbing, it's uncomfortable to watch. But genocide is never pretty

MIA is pointing out how meaningless and arbitrary it is to target people based on complexion or physical characteristics.
