I went to Walmart this morning n had a horrible time with a new cashier that didn't know bout coupons screamed at me n flung her hand at me as she started grabbing my bags out of my cart to RE-ring. I felt violated like I was treated like a theft it was embarrassing I posted on Walmart page on fb
I started collecting posts from coupon playaz from different states that have beening given a hard time with coupons. In less than 15 minutes I had collected more that 100. Across the US north south east west all have been treated the same way??? There is a System in place. There are millions of calls to corporate from couponers, the stores have cameras recording the cashiers scanning the coupons and how they treat couponers and yet the same thing is happening over and over again.
You can't get it free that is what my Walmart told me. The rules change so much as well as Dollar General. Dollar General in Newton, is a darn mess they absolutely need a class on couponing I don't even try to correct them because I get we are under coupon fraud and I am not going to lose my job. Walmart just changes the rules everyday.
Good Evening, Just wanted to let you know that Kmart is doubling Q's $1 or less Friday and Saturday 5 q's per day, and you must be a rewards member. Not sure if its big deal or not, I have a few q's that will make the items free.
I think we need to pick a day like we ppl won't get gas do to the prices on a certain day that's wht we need to do !!! Not all cashiers R rude but there R some. What some cashiers fell 2 realize that these companies produce coupons 2 get our attention 2 enticed us 2 buy their products. It’s a win-win situation 4 both the companies N us. The manufacturers N stores R benefiting from coupons; if they weren’t, they wouldn’t issue them R accept them. Store managers should pass this info 2 the cashiers’. If we R not N the store buying grocery they have no job; instead of giving us the negative vibes that some do.
Greg, I really enjoyed this video!!! You took us to church. It's so true that they dont know their jobs. Walmart and Walgreens are the WORSE here in Chicago. I have not even tried Family Dollar or Dollar General. They need to do a better job at training them, and making sure when they get hired they have a special segment for knowing the coupon policies.
I'm almost 40 years old and when i was cashiering as a teenager there was no SCANNING or bar codes! We had to MANUALLY enter every single item and then MANUALLY enter every single coupon. NOW THAT WAS HARD! Lol
I totally agree; I had to call Family Dollar's Corp office today for a customer that was having an issue re the scrubbing bubbles cpn. After explaining the situation the store was called and when we arrived the situation was handled. The best thing to do when calling Corp is to make sure you have names and titles. I even asked if they wanted me to help educate the staff...LOL; but for real.
I agree and am with you. We couponers need to stand together collectively and let our voices be heard. Target is absolutely obnoxious and sickening we need to put them on blast.
i FEEL you on the "feeling like you're in a walmart." the one by my house is AWFUL. they don't even TRY to scan the coupon. "this coupon is for $1. the item is only $.97" OKAAYYY...scan it!
eveywhere else i've been, the cashiers have been really nice, even helpful. i'm new to this and they've been very patient with me and even given me hints.
i think the hardest place to shop is Target. you might have the right coupon for the product but if the computer says coupon does not match then that is what they go by.

@MyCrownstar I was at Walgreens today, I haven't been in so long. I am still so irritated that I have to pay extra to use coupons for un-related items. Why do I have to buy a random .25 filler if the coupon is for anything? I don't have to do that at Rite Aid, Albertson's, Safeway? It's just to get us to spend more and I hate it.

I think we should start with Target...I've seen several videos this week where the Store Managers did not want to honor the $1 paper towel coupon. Also, they were telling people the coupon only applies to the item pictured on the coupon. Just over doing their jobs...you would think they get a special bonus for turning couponers away.

i agree i hate when the cashier do not know the job they do and iam held up at the register and the person in back of me is looking @ me like iam doing something wrong or giving the cashier a hard time .i do think some of the problem is that the stores all they do now is use the word write up for every mistake a person makes that sometime the cashier when they see the word free they get scared and second guess because the store all they do now is write up write up to put fear in them

Well, I had a great experience at my local CVS today. I will do a vid tomorrow (Thursday) and living in smaller community...makes it so much easier, I think. Just try and be as NICE as you can to the cashiers and HOPEFULLY they will be nice back. If not.....give what you get...hahahahaha. next i tried to do the triaminic deal and use a coupon from one of their supplement books and a manufacturer coupon and he told me i couldnt use both because their coupon said manufacturer coupon on it too.
i went to walgreens today and it was one problem after another. first i couldnt buy more than 3 kleenex, thats what their coupon said, so there goes getting any register rewards for buying 4 or more. then the cool touch wasnt part of the promotion, altho plenty of people online seem to have been able to do it. so i put them back.
OMGosh... You really put it all out there Greg! Good for you!!! Listen, in my opinion, if you have a coupon for an item & it becomes free, then that's the price of doing business. I agree that they may need to limit the number of products for purchase per person, because some people take advantage. But, if you are playing by the rules, more power to ya'... Stay true to yourself & keep on couponing.
If they only understood how much time it takes to learn about the deals, review the sales adds, and gather/clip the coupons...it's almost like having a job. I wish I was paid by the hour!

Some people just don't understand the whole process and "function" of a coupon. More training is needed for them with "Couponing 101" and "Customer Service with a Smile!!" We work very hard for our money, and saving money with coupons should not be frowned upon, only impressive and smart ;) Let the retailers learn exactly what their store impressions REALLY ARE!!!
I went on RiteAids facebook today and complained about the spend $100 get $20 up program. They really need to get thier shit all in one collective bowl, instead of letting it run a muck. Thanks for sharing!!
