  • Climbing up the Eiffel Tower (geeetttt doowwwnn frrroommm therereee!!!!!) hahaha

  • i like Styx version with Lawrence Gowan

  • 2:35

    "hahhahaha... wtf..."

  • before I watch this video, this better not be some kind of fucking joke!

  • holy shit hes 50

  • I think Jim Carrey did a good job :) I really like him. If John could've see this performance, I think he would have liked it

  • Hell yeah Jim Carrey's cover of I am Walrus is heaps better than Oasis's version. If John Lennon were here he'd be happy with it.

  • well it's better than the Oasis version anyway :P

  • @MrRyanSams hahahah No No No! Oasis' version is very cool. Far better than this one.

  • 1:54 is my favourite bit :P

  • jesus thats good

  • He can do it all.

  • !!!HAPPY 50° BIRTHDAY JIM, THE GOD OF WORLD COMEDY!!!

  • Why?

  • He actually has a great voice.

  • don't know why s soon as I hear his voice I have to smile

  • 1:09 that face he makes after the high pitchewd police men in a row fucking hilarious

  • how many people just thought "yes, thanks, we recognized George Martin"...

  • I just lost it when he sang the chorus as if he were laughing. The accented part thereafter was great too.

  • That was just cool...

  • shitty celebrity

  • That is George Martin in the booth with Jim Carrey right? Or just someone that looks like him? What is this from?

  • @bearfan83

No that is definitely George Martin.

Martin produced a whole record with covers from the Beatles Era using different artists..Jim Carrey being one of them :)

    George Martin rules! :D

  • @FredDude27 Thank you! I was almost certain it was him but no one in the comments seemed to talk about the fact that the great George Martin was in the recording booth with Jim Carrey of all people. Thanks for the heads up on that record, I gotta find it online somewhere!

  • "YEAH I DID IT! I DEFILED I TIMELESS PIECE OF ART!"

  • YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH HOTTIE

  • Straight up? He sucked.

  • @justinbieverr Screw you Jim Carreys bad ass.

  • @MrXbomb Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors and I loved to see him do this, but I thought he could have done it better. I should have expanded on my opinion but I didn't feel like it.

  • All he needs to do is dig out the old Ace Ventura wardrobe and start a band, because to be honest, he's never really been all that funny.

  • His strange way of singing perfectly fis with the song ! Amazing !

  • Better Than The Original :D <3

  • @Shinerman2 Whoa there goes that comments again. C'mon, just listen to it and if you enjoyed then simply say 'I enjoyed this.' but if you enjoyed this very much then say 'i enjoy this very much.' no need for the better than the original thing. its kinda rotten thing to say. Dont get mad (:

  • Whahaahahah

  • this guy is insane totally insane

  • 1:09 awesome

  • Man... That guy sings FALSE!!!

  • 1:51-1:57 is totally awesome

  • I love this!!!!!

  • the "sitting in an english garden" segment is hilarious..

  • I like this as equally as the original

  • Serj Tankian should also cover this.

  • Canadian pros & cons:

    Pros:Jim Carrey.

Cons:Do I have to say it?

  • He just kicked Bono's ass.

  • "There! I did it! I DEFILED A TIMELESS PEICE OF ART." No Jim, you made it 100x better =)

  • he's crazy enough to sing this.

  • "I DESTROYED A TIMELESS CLASSIC" yes you did but you did it well

  • jim has an amazing voice! too bad he's making fun like always...

  • @MsLina625 i wonder how well he could actually sing it if he weren't being him all the time...he coulfdn't help himself I guess,,,

  • Jim is actually a terrific singer. I like the part when he sings "i'm crying", nice tone.

  • Comment removed

  • @mahavishnucx Jim is bipolar too. so he's also Bi-Winning.

  • @Squwiwel thats not funny.....thats just sick.....

  • Jim Carrey should just consider starting a rock group. As he's comedic talents are seriously washed up. His latest films range from "meh", to "stinking pile of shit". A great singer, though, indeed.

  • Not AS good as The Beatles. But I'm not gonna compare it. Great work :) Love it <3

  • john lennon would be proud, he did good!

  • @krisluvs1 Walrus is a Paul Song...

  • @romans52345 no it isn't?

  • the best version.

  • George Martin rules!

  • Considering that I am the Walrus was most likely written under drug influence, Jim Carrey probably grasps it in the best way possible: an insane man without the need for drugs to exhibit insanity. Simply brilliant. Should have been in the movie Across the Universe instead of Bono.

  • @oshomroni I totally agree!

  • @oshomroni How do you know he doesn't take drugs?

  • @oshomroni ACTUALLY John Lennon wrote this song because someone wrote him a letter saying their professor was making them translate Beatles songs as curriculum. SO he said "fuck that shit, let's write the most nonsensical song ever!" But yeah this is awesome!

  • Awesome job by one of my favs!! Jim Carrey is enormously HI-Larious!!

  • Damn he's pretty good.

  • carrey has SO much more enthusiasm then the beatles but i love both versions!

  • I didn't know this guy could sing

  • 160 people, don't have humor sense!

  • Офигенно!! Джим Керри поет просто шикарно!!

  • didn't know Jim Carrey could sing like that..

    HE'S AWSOME!!

  • chao

  • this is so totally awesome

  • wow!

  • amazing

  • Though it's true that Charlie Sheen is indeed...Bi-winning,

    then Jim Carrey is TRI-winning.

  • i taught this was going to be very funny but it is actually quite good

  • I love you more now.

  • this is 4 minutes and 31 seconds of one seriously talented man

  • @CJJ0NES one? and the orchestra?

  • i always thought this would be 100x better if he sang more seriously

  • Hiralious...ye

  • @AlisonChaynes like a fox!

  • haha i love this......seems like they all had so much fun making this!

  • his voice is not that bad

  • Hihihi buhehehe

  • Love ths guy - soooo over the top - I hope the living BeatLes...Paul and Ringo... get some fun from this one too ! has anyone ever doemn this song wow, a big one but Jim Carrey did it, give him credit, it sounds awesOme

  • Paul McCartney sang each of the orchestral parts to Martin. Then George M scored them out for him. Man, just to be in that room with that kind of talent.

I think that Carrey missed a career as a singer. Not terrible.

  • interesting half-serious interpretation

  • how could they make fun of a song like this? i meen they were preaty high wen they rote this but still):

  • @marvinthefatty396 They're not making fun of it.I mean it's a silly song-don't pretend you have an idea of it's meaning lol.And Jim Carrey is a very silly person so it worked out great. Can't take music too seriously :P

  • They should have completely cast him for the Across the Universe movie instead of Bono. Bono sang it nice, but Carrey completely, absolutely got the psychedelic, psychotic, insane feeling of I am the Walrus.

  • CLIMBING UP THE EIFFEL TOWAH?! (get down from there!)

  • Jim Carrey and The Beatles, could it be anymore epic

  • i like it

  • Very bad....

  • is it just me or does 2:43 sounds kinda like rush limbaugh?

  • I remember having this on cassette, and demanding to listen to the 'Egg man song' as a kid every time I got in the car.

  • Comment removed

  • Bloody brilliant!

  • it may be heresy but i prefer this to the original

  • @ericoulthwaite Definitely!

  • can someone tell me how they make the voice sound like the old recordings? I'd love to know how to do that effect...

  • @swiszcz93 eq filters, compression

  • @ericoulthwaite do you know how to do it? can you be a little more especific? Because I tried playing with those but I can't get the effect right or even close...

  • bloody good singer shudbe a singer wen he retires

  • buenisimo

    jim carrey y george martin

    que combinacion por dios

    se habran divertido

que suertudo carrey darse ese gusto

  • this may be one of the best covers ever :P

obviously not as good as the beatles thought :P

  • i love the beatles more than life itself .. and i really enjoyed this.

jim carrey will always be awesome, and the "sitting in an english garden" part (my favourite lyrics of the song!) is fantastic aha.

    <3

  • " I DEFY THE TIMELESS PIECE OF ART!!!"

  • This guy could give Weird Al a run for his money. Yeah. Jim Carrey is powerful enough to challenge the sheer awesomeness of Weird Al.

  • He is love!

  • lol

  • I had no idea that he could sing. Not only that, but sing well.

  • He is Canadian...

  • @ezdmonroig - Potato/Potaahto. *starts World War 3*

  • I always like to hear an American singing 'knickers!' It always makes me laugh. This is pretty damn good though. He's got a strong voice. And it's a great old song.

  • @aerialkate well, he's canadian.

  • Love him!!!!!!!!!! what a great performer!

  • it tooks all those ppl to do i am the walrus when it only took the beatles 4 ppl

  • Comment removed

  • i like 1:08 "in a rowwwwwowww" XD

  • am i the only one that thinks he sings better than the beatles , i mean who are people kidding when they say they like the beetles .... theyre shocking

  • @luker8342 i assume thats a joke.....

  • Is Jim Morrison the Walrus..? Dan O'Niallain

  • I'm inspired.... Great job Jim!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great to see George still having fun in the studio! Mr. Martin is The Beatles............

  • This is hilarious and awesome. Good job, Jim.

  • jim carrey is awesome most in the world!!

  • george martin is amazing = FACT

  • hahahaha his voice is kinda strange but is nice :)

  • hahhahaha

  • Why do I get the feeling Jim Carrey is actually a good singer?

  • @LolNewsful Because he is. :-)

  • jim is the only one crazy enough to do this song justice

  • @thesinner922

Frank Zappa did a good cover too :)

  • Comment removed

  • wou awesome :D

  • Hahahaha=D

  • Why does this exist?

  • I like tag "LSD" under the video :)

  • Comment removed

  • this is really good and so is his vocal producer

  • DAMN! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

    this is amazing!!! <3

  • that's amazing!

  • Jim Carrey! Inventor of the Troll face. Who can hate the guy?

  • 2:57 "(GET DOWN FROM THERE!!!)"

  • Jim Carrey and George Martin share some quite homoerotic looks in this video.

  • Surprisingly decent.

  • @TheLeoOfCostaRica wow...who are you?

  • @elpactodejohnson1

    Who am I?

I'm the dude playing the dude, disguised as another dude!

  • @TheLeoOfCostaRica i meant... who are you to underrate his performance in that way? like believing you are the big cock... have you any musical talent or achievement ?

  • @elpactodejohnson1

...So I'm not allowed to have an opinion on something just because I'm not a famous musician?

Excuse me, then. This is the most amazing thing I've seen in my life. It changed me. My eyes aren't worthy of looking upon this magnificent piece of art. Thank you, Jesus.

...Am I doing this right? Or would you rather have me get a career in music so I can give you my real opinion?

Sorry, I'm just new to this kind of logic.

  • @TheLeoOfCostaRica Of course you can... but say "This is crap"...or whatever... But "surprisingly decent"... is too much....too snob... dont you think?

  • @elpactodejohnson1

Not really, to be honest. I DO think it's surprisingly decent, and that's why I wrote it.

Are you telling me that it's not well-founded? Did I just have to assume that Jim Carrey would do a good job singing a Beatles' song before watching the video? Is that just common knowledge that I was not aware of?

Because "surprisingly decent" means that I wasn't expecting a comedian like Carrey to do a good rendition of this, I DOESN'T mean that I could make a better cover.

  • @TheLeoOfCostaRica "surprisingly decent" sounds like "Jim Carrey singing beatles is supposed to be a crap, but... is surprisingly decent". It´s a prejudgement. Why a decent performance by him has to be a surprise? His voice is very well trained, more than many singers around there... Thats why your opinion sounds to me like you have to be talented or able to do that to say that...

  • @elpactodejohnson1 ...come on, nobody expects a comedian to be able to get up there and outdo the effing Beatles. Give Leo a break.

  • Jim Carrey is such a douchebag. His 15 minutes of fame should have been over 20 years ago.

  • @spiderhulk63 Name an actor who's funnier than Jim Carrey from the last 20 years.

  • This is fun!

  • nope..sorry john is much better....and its goo goo ga joob, only in mrs robinson is it coocookachoo

  • @bongMcCoy It's not meant to be better, no-one has said it's better.

It's for a tribute album, it's called showing respect and having fun. Calm it down.

  • @MakonianLuv indeed, but if your gunna sing the song sing it right......
