You should actualy root from the end if the hair so it won't go frizzy and so it looks like the roots are INSIDE the head..

Thank you very much. I have always wondered how to do the hair. I now feel confident enough to give it a go. I have had a custom baby made for each of my 5 children to resemble them when they were born. They love them and love to see their clothes on them and nurse them. People who don't like reborns have no business watching how to reborn and really should keep their nasty opinions to themselves - not judge people who do make or have them - we don't call them names for NOT having them.

I'm sure if she actually styled the hair it would look 1000x better. But styling the hair is not the purpose of the video, HAIR ROOTING was. And I'm satisfied. :)

Do you know, aproximatley, how long it takes to root a preemie's hair?

@ObsessedOverDolls Well, it wont take as long as a 0-3 month old baby because preemie heads are much smaller. Since they are more on the smaller side, you need to be more careful when rooting. Instead of taking many...........many hours to root, it will take about 3-4 hours for a proffesional reborner. If someone has a different oppinion, i dont care. I have reborned preemies, inclouding Daisy by Bonnie Brown and it took me 4 hours so... hope this helped.

@RebornDakota Are you the one rooting her? NO. This baby is gorgeous, as I have this kit. A baby can be born with very thick and long hair. She worked hard on this, rooting isn't easy. So stop complaining and or being rude. Don't like the way she did the hair, don't watch this video.. Your opinion definitely wasn't needed.

Bountiful Babies has someof the best tutorials out there. They are explained by a real person and clearly illustrated. I have almost everything I need to start one. I am using a play doll by Berenguer to see if I can do this. I would love to see more tutorials put out by Bountiful Babies. Love these Tutorials.

@yuyu776 What kind of horror movie have you been watching? It's a security to people. Some never recover from the devistation of losing a baby. It helps them ease through it without suiciding or something. My aunt was silent for 7 months after she miscarried. So if you don't understand it don't talk about it.

@22edwardcullenlover Even though that's not an AA baby, a lot of AA babies (real ones) are born with hair thicker than that. But for a reborn doll, that IS a lot of hair...

@Aaliyahjay hand rooting is where you pick up 4 or more hairs per hole (very pluggy). Micro-rooting is 2-3 hairs per hole (hardly any plugs), and ultra micro rooting is 1 hair per hole(plugless, and looks the most realistic!)

I would suggest you use No. 43 German fork needle, the felting needle she has used, plugs in too many hairs in one go. Other than that it is very good.

i know how to root hair but i havnt tried yet cause i dont know where to buy the needles or the hair cause im not doing it on a reborn just a doll that is life size abd i weighted her body and her head so she is heavy and her head gies back but she looks like such a real baby but she is not a reborn im only 11 and i want a reborn so i am making my own reborn with out painting it just weighting iy and rooting it i made a magnteic paci too so plz tell me where ho buy the hai and needle
