I TOO AM A DOLLY FAN I HAVE BEEN FOR AS LONG AS I REMEMBER.COAT OF MANY COLORS HAS SPECIAL MEANING TO ME.MY GRANDMA ACTUALLY MADE A COAT FROM LEFT OVER MATERIALS AND WORE IT FOREVER.I THINK OF HER EVERY TIME I HEAR THIS SONG AND I CRY.I AGREE AND ALLWAYS SAY DOLLY COULD IN A TIN CAN AND IT WOULD SOUND GOOD. LOVE YOU DOLLY.
This is one of the very few pics of her without her wig... err... or is it? I'm not sure Goddess is a word for someone with tons of wigs and make-up and who is appreciated most for the size of her boobs. But, I'll agree she was a good singer and a nice social personality... do I love her? um, that's stretching it. She's just another entertainer!
all her gospel songs and her voice and yet she never knew God. See Jesus sent the Holy ghost not another book. King james was born 6, 1566, 6th of scotland he authorized 66 books and called them the word of God. Jesus is the word of God. THE BIBLE IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST
Beautiful song, was my grandfathers favorite. Every time I hear it, it brings tears to my eyes. An amazing man, father, and grandfather. RIP C. McCauley
It's ,"Sing the phone book," Of course, Dolly could sing to a phone book as well, bu tit wouldn't mean quite the same thing. If you are singing to a phone book, you may not have a single fan...Dolly on the other hand, well you get the gist:-)
I remember seeing her and Porter Wagner at the Appalachian Fair in Gray, TN when I was a very young child. My parents were a huge fan of hers as well.
O that would b such a wonderful memory, dolly would've been so beautiful, I didn't get to see her live until she was 61, it's still hard for me to believe I've actually have seen her @ all, that was a dream i had to make happen
My husband, Wishbone, use to work for a guy named David Helton who knew Dolly personally. Not best friends or anything but they went to the same high school.
Welllll,,,,,by that time she had already tasted stardom; I think at the age of 10 she had sang on radio with her uncle, (I think his name is or was Buck Owens), but she was a little snoody, to David anyway. Don't be mad at me. That was his words, not mine.
Love the pic of her and Sly getting her star on Hollywood Blvd, Have you been to Hollywood to see her star, it is amazing, I love going, everytime I go I have to go see Dolly's star and take a new picture of me with it.
Absolutely love this ...great montage..Thank
you
