  • You got more FPS ?

  • I have seen benchmarks with Unigine Heaven, where the FPS improved significantly (+18%)

    The System was a I3-2120 with a HD 6950

  • You see, it dosent matter if you have the most updated version of windows, you can't do shit without a good processer/ graphics card/ ram

  • 0:07 Alienware wallpaper xD

  • the start screen comes up pretty fast when a game is running.

  • Anyone try Bulldozers FX on this now!!

  • I hear Explosions in the Sky! Good for you sir.

  • could rise another videotape with heavier games?

  • i had worse performance on crysis, better on black ops, better on rage but worse on bf3 beta

  • @lulurauselesstroll Are you kidding me? It will affect framerate. If the OS uses a lot resources, anything that runs on the machine will be slower.

  • I have just got my hands on the Windows 8 developer preview, and the gaming performance in my favorite game, League of Legends, have gone down, in W7 SP1 my framerate were about 50-60, in W8 (developer preview) it is down at 30-40, but more stable than before.

But i have heared it depends a lot on the game.

  • @NiToudal Please remember that games in PRE RELEASE Operating Systems will perform worse than in a full RTM OS.

  • Lol that's Windows 7 ....

  • @sejko123 dumbass

  • @MASTURCHEEF001 lol i love your comment to sejko xD

  • @JpSena021 I know right?

  • @sejko123 Technically yes, just windows 7 is a slightly modified version of Vista and so on and so forth but it is really windows 8 its just in its infancy or pre-beta.

  • @sejko123 this is windows developer preview not seven

  • Does windows 8 affect framerate on games?

  • @letsgo098098 Yes, but of course... this is a pre beta version of windows... I didn't get any exact frame rates. and you can tell this was hardly a scientific test. I noticed a considerable drop in frame rate on Crysis 1 and warhead, neither ran too well. But as you can see Human Revolution ran well enough, but that was hardly an intense scene.

  • @crunchyfroglegs do you yhink the final version could be better for gaming? seeing w8 uses less resources?

  • @webDes33 I am using Windows 8 Developers Preview on my system and it's a lot less than what Windows 7 uses. The Task Manager is a lot better too. More organized and stuff. I think the final release of this system will be a gamers dream come true. At least that is my opinion.

  • What are your specs and what drivers are you using?

  • @drsgfire It's a Phenom II 3.4GHz Quad Core, a Radeon 6770 1GB. Windows 8 has run very well for me so far.

  • @crunchyfroglegs why not 6850

  • @crunchyfroglegs amd now has drivers for win 8 dev preview

  • @drsgfire the drivers were available from Windows update... and run Crysis 2 well, to boot!... I'm downloading BF:BC2 right now...
