Full flexion into the squat is healthier and more natural.
When you go all the way down into a squat, you're recruiting an entire muscular chain that works to absorb and distribute impact evenly along the entire range of motion. When you stop partway, you cut off part of that chain, and all the impact is transferred to the first part, so you end up with the force confined to a smaller ROM, and so greater pressure.
Show me an elite traceur who doesn't land that way from drops.
He's got great strength through the full range of motion. Whne you see most beginners and non-athletic people do a drop, they don't bend their knees much because they haven't developed that ROM strength yet.
hey umm ive been starting to have this pain in my knees wenever i bend them i always hear these weird grinding noises and they always click and make noise it doesnt hurt but i just want to ask you if you know wut it mite be or if youve had any pain like that
umm the jump isnt as far as this movie makes it look if uve seen a real close up camera footage of the manpower gap with n o special camera "angles" u will see wut i mean its not as far as it looks i swear
amazing ...i think i´ve also done something like that in 6th grade ...i jumeped out of a window fall on the ground and didn´t fell my legs anymore ...then i stood up and went back into my class...or seomething like that ....but wtf this is amazing ..i think he didn´t show that he has hurted
Of course he was not hurt. He had be training for that sort of thing for about 10 years before attempting it. It's called "Parkour". Look it up if you're interested.

Sure man, find the video
"le parkour - david belle #2",
and check out the landings at 0:08, 0:31, and 0:36.
Also in SpeedAirMan, the landings at 1:51 and 2:03 are good examples.
In the video "Learn Freerunning and Parkour - Landing From A Drop"
by urbanfreelow, Asid shows good landing form.

I think he did some sort of mistake at the last drop. He bend his knees almost the whole way down..
Well, we all do mistakes some times. But with those steelknees it doesn't matter if it happens one time.
BlacksVideos 3 years ago 2
With a drop this huge, it would be incredibly hard and take tooooo much strength to stop your knees from bending the full way.
wirraltraceur 3 years ago 2
@wirraltraceur
Belle can do it, that's just because he is prepared for it.

He's like a steel man =|

you probably did something to big, that you weren't properly conditioned or trained for yet.
yellowriver19999 4 years ago
Yeah... in fact, for Parkour, you need that your first year of training been: 80% physyc 20% technic. Do you did something like that...
