I did the BC about three months ago and am waiting for my hair to get longer so I can try some of your styles. Where can I go to get a list of the hair care products you use? Thanks for posting for all the natural newbies.

  • is there a difference between the Eco u using here and the olive oil one, cause I bought the olive oil one and it leaves white stuff on my fave and hair :(

  • Your hair is sooooooo pretty and the color is gorgeous on u

  • *epiphany* Tha's why my hair never looks curly!!! I pull the hair apart (well kinda snatch it apart) all the way down to the root...you tenderly pull them apart. that explains a lot!

  • I rock my afro just like this too! Great minds think a like.

  • Hi,-I-would-love-to-add-some-color-to-my-natural-hair-any-suggestions-please

  • @PRETTYDIMPLES01 Is ECO like jam or is more like regular gel? Does it have an oil after feel?

  • @MsPennyjenny its like regular gel and not it doesn't feel oily afterwards

  • This was video that made me subscribe to your channel a year ago. You hair has grown so much, I would love to see you do this style again now that your hair is longer.

  • Im glad i watched this video bc i wasnt really getting THE look with y combs bc i was sliding them in instead of the way you did it! But, i definitely will be trying them again :) Thanks!!!!

  • I LOVE your tutorials!!

  • your so beautiful!!! your hair looks gorgeous

  • cute hair

  • I want to do this style. It is really cute on you. Would you consider doing a straw set?

  • That red is beautiful!

  • I find it fascinating how one black woman inspires another to go natural. I was inspired by a girl I saw on Youtube and I remember thinking "she's so right! I can do that too!" .

I hope more and more women go natural.

I am Bissau Guinean and live in Brazil, and I find it truly wonderful that someone in the US can inspire and teach me so many things.

    Thanks !

  • you look great girl.I dare go natural now like you!!by the way,how did you do the shea butter concortion?mind to spill the actual doing?thanks

  • I am so in love with that color...what color is that i wan to color my hair but i am kinda scared.

  • love it wat color red is that?

  • can u please show the hairstyle finished and then give directions to how you do it?

  • sexy yes finally a video where ur embracing yourown hair texture I LOVE IT its sick

  • You look indian, like India AND Native indian. What is your race?

  • I love the texture of your hair.. It really suits you... Oh and love the color too..

  • I love ur videos and they are really informative and helpful to me on this natural hair journey that I am on! My question is when u do the twist outs do u retwist at night before u go to bed so that the style will keep its shape?

    Thanks! : )

  • i love ur color! [so much so that I did my hair similarly :)] I have a question: do u retwist the back of ur hair every night for this style?

  • @jahcifarprincess thank you. yes i retwist every night in big twist. no comb or parting. just with my fingers.

  • that red looks good on u. cute!

  • MY HAIR LAUGHS @ "HOLDING GELS!!!" WHAT GEL DO YOU USE??? ONLY ECO?

  • Where Do You Get The Lil Combs from that You Put on the sides? :)

  • i dyed my ends and they broke of badly which led to a big cut (2in) and now i wanna dye it again how do you keep your hair from breaking off after a color change?

  • gurl i love your hair. how didi you get it like that.?

  • Like your hair color.

What type of dye did you use on your natural hair?

I've been natural for three years now and my hair is growing slow.

What are some products you use?

Plus I have different texture hair, some parts are curly, nappy.

Some days a perm looks really nice.

  • magnificent biceps-beautiful

  • I've been natural for 6 months. I bought the small combs you used to push your hair back a few months ago but didn't know how to use them and get them to stay in (I was putting them in the same direction as the hair and they would just slide out). Thanks to this video, I now know how to use the combs, which means I can wear different styles. Thanks for the videos. Most appreciative.

  • I absolutely love this style!

Did you retwist your hair at night or just covered it with a bonnet?

This goes for any style; can i just go to sleep or do I have to restyle for the next day?

  • I just love your videos. They give me real good ideas for natural hairstyles. Thank you!!

  • i love your hair! how do you deal with your husband preferring it straight??? it makes me sad when the guys in my life don't appreciate my natural hair...

  • @liljillcakes well when we started to date my hair was natural. so at first he would give me a hard time about it but im a girl that don't play. so if he wanted someone with straight hair he was going to have to find someone else and if he wanted me he was going to get me with my natural hair. so the real question would be how does he deal with it. lol but every once in a while i will straighten it or add a weave. lol

  • @PRETTYDIMPLES01 lol. well at least i'm not the only one who catches a hard time! my hair wasn't natural when me and my bf met but i told him of my plans to go natural up front. i never knew men where so hair obsessed until i saw my brother, my dad and my boyfriend's reaction! but i guess that's all apart of the game. thanks for the reply!

  • @childofafrica25 hello. yes i am familiar with carol's daughter. i don't really like it. i only tried a few of her products and really didn't like them. made my hair dry. the only thing i mix in my shea butter is the oils. and as far as products that are available in canada im not sure of since i don't live there and don't have that kind of information. sorry. :)

  • I have to ask... If u use alot of gel couldnt it dry and break ur hair off? I have natural hair but im afraid the alcohol in the gel will dry my hair out and break it off.... Its growing sooo good and I love ur style... what do u suggest?

  • @whittley88 eco styling gel doesnt contain alcohol, and it also comes in an olive oil brand for moisture(the green bottle)

  • How often do you get a trim? And do you do it yourself?

  • Beautiful, I like that.

  • I love this style! Pretty Dimples you inspire me to keep my natural hair and its length. My length is just pass my shoulders and I am to the point of frustration on what to do with it. Thank you kindly and keep the videos coming.

  • YOU HAVE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HAIR!!!!

  • I love da red color u have in ur head what number is dat...and u hair styles are wonderful...I love ur creativity

  • Hello, I am interested in doing a braid-out hair style on my hair. I've been transitioning for four months. I think I'm going to use Miss Jessie's curly pudding band do single braids (not cornrows) with rollers on the end to give my relaxed hair a curl. My question is what should I do at night. I know with you fro you say that you re-twist at night and take it down the next day. Is this a technique I should use or just wear a satin bonnett and then fluff in the morning? Thanks for the advice.

  • How cute...I love this hairdo!! I am a couple of months into my transitioning phase so I'm trying to research and get some ideas for when I'm 100% relaxer free. You do great videos...I will be subscribing. Thanks :-)

  • you are nice :D

  • i was told that ECO qel breaks your hair off. but when i watch your videos, you have the same amount of hair..im confused lol please help because i want to use qel. but that breakaqe was scarinq me!

  • Just finished watching your video...OMG that look is super sexy, more inspiration keeps coming my way as I watch Natural hairstyling vids.....keep up the great work

  • when you dyed your hair did you feel a difference in texture and did it damage your hair at all?

  • Your styles are awesome. My problem has always been parting! Takes me ten years to get my parts right! Any suggestions?

  • does my hair have to be natural in order to make the twists or can i just twist it when there is no relaxer in it then perm it when i want it permed?

  • I love your hair and hair color [[You gotsome good hair I just wish I had some hair like yours because my hair is just straight up nigga people hair ; lol _seriously

  • do you have a eyebrow or makeup tut? if not i think you should your makeup always looks fierce! :)

  • I am really digging your videos! thanks for the great tips!

  • What else do you put on your hair on your "wash and go" days? I think you may have applied Cantu Shea Butter as your leave-in conditioner. I'm just trying to find out what else you had on your hair before doing this style.

  • hi ! love the style and the tutorial! I hate shea butter bcz it has such a bad build up. BUT your hair texture looks so much like mine that I think I will try shea butter again. In case you haven't tried it yet, try whipping your shea butter. You said it is hard and you melted it. Try whipping it. I use like a cake mixer oR that little mini food chopper. It will make the shea butter soft and creamy.

  • Girl your hair is FIRE!!!

    LOVIN IT

  • my twistout's are almost always dry and have no definition. I use Jam hair gel, Olive Oil, Infusium 23, and Coconut oil. Does the size of the twist determine the definition of my curl pattern? Also how can I get my hair to look "juicy"(moist) like your's?

  • ericead- oh yes. the size does matter. the smaller the twist the more defined. the bigger the less defined. i use my shea butter mix to keep it moist and shinny. the gel you use may make it dry and too weighed down. check out the shea butter on my website. the link is on my page

  • @ericead That Jam gel, won't give you curl definition at all, in fact I only use that on my daughter's hair when she's wearing pony tails, to add moister and to lay her hair down. It's not really good for anything else. Hope this helps.

  • wow, that looks really good, it's kind of the best bantu knot out I've ever seen.

  • your hair is very pretty btw what type of gel are you using?

  • Loved it. I have a color and natural. What are the best conditioners or conditioner hair regime for my hair? How do you keep your hair so moisturize and healthy looking with your color?Get back to me soon

  • TheAdifferentme- i do a protein treatment once a month. i normally use aphogee. i have a video on it. and as a daily moisturizer i use my shea butter mix that you can purchase a in the link in the discription box

  • Loved it!

  • i love this look!!

  • Your hair looks so soft! How do you get it to look & feel soft all the time? Looks manageable! My hair is super dry & very tangled :-(

  • Very nice. another style for me to try.

  • Kaaauuute!!

  • Your hair is sooo beautiful! I onlt started transitioning around 4 months ago and your tutorials have been really helpful, thank-you :)

  • beautiful!!

  • my hair cant even stay parted!lol.i qotta add a whole jar of jam to make it slick dowwn

  • youre pretty :)

  • what hair color

    is that?

  • Girl ur hair is always fly!!

  • I need to start playing with my hair in the mirror more! To cute!

  • Ure the ish duuude! <3 ur vids!!!

  • hey...do you remember what hair dye you used for that red color ive been looking for that color 4 ever!! oh and your tip with the goody combs are great!!! i never though to apply them like that lol THANKS

  • MissMagnum812- yes i have two videos on the hair color

  • this was veryy creative and it turned out great...

  • cute!!! that color looks nice on you...

  • girl you are so creative. i'm going to do this today. i do all your ideas.

  • I really love your ideas. I'm still transitioning and was coming on utube to find hair style ideas. Thank you very much for your post. Makes life a little easier!

  • I wish m hair will gel, down..its laughs at jam.

  • @glitzychic101 try eco styler gel!

  • love your styles I will be adding new stuff to my portpholios. I have been lazy. and just do bantue. but I can so do these too

  • I never woudl have thought to use shea butter I am going to get me some tomorrow...question would you use a polish type gel on your hair with the shea butter?..over all I like you ideas....

  • I recently Dyed my hair red but being that my hair is black, it barely shows up. I was wondering if i could wait 2 weeks and dye my hair the same color again would it be brighter?

  • i dont want to say the wrong thing but you surpose to use a bleach so it will come out lighter jus dyein it red its jus goin to make it a tint kind of. the dye you use has to have a bleach or booster

  • jaimee505- no you don't need to use bleach. just a higher developer. the booster does not make it lighter it just makes it more red. the higher developer which is peroxide makes it lighter

  • interesting you learn somethin new everyday

  • when u melted it down- did u do it n the microwave, or did u do it over the stove? I have the same shea butter as u did n this video, and it's pretty hard also....

  • omg i love ur hair texture !!

  • what color red is that i dont want to get too bright or to dark...and did you use Radiant dye?

  • I have much shorter hair than you.... i wanted to dye my hair in the front another color like that.. Would id look right on shorter hair?

  • love your hair black and red =]

  • That is a really cute and trendy look.

  • Out of all the awesome styles you do, I think this is my fav. I'm considering going natural b/c I'm tired of all the breakage and scalp burning involved in straightening. Thanks for posting!

  • thats great but my hair is so unruly, no water no gel no greas holds it flat, it just springs back up....

  • WoW! Your very talented!!! I enjoyed watching your video and getting some new ideas. Thanks for sharing and your hair looks great!

  • your hair is absolutely gorgeous! and the color too! super cute!

  • how do you get your hair flat in the front

  • what would you use instead of those combs to hold the hair back:?

  • bobby pins could probably work or hair clips I guess.

  • Where do you get the flowers you put in your hair from? All the ones I buy from the beauty supply store tend to look very big on my head!

  • I envy your hair sooo much lol

  • UGHH!!! Im so jealous!!! i've tried a couple of your styles and even use the products you used and my hair just never looks right. As for my afro........... I looked like the lion in the Wizard of Oz

  • im doin this tonight!!!

    amazing girl !!!! :]

  • The color of your hair is amazing!!

  • loves it

  • This is one of my favorite styles of yours... I LOVED the color and idk but your hair looks longer in these videos than in recent ones. either way its super cute!

  • Would retwisting mess up the curl pattern? Was your hair blown out & dry here?

  • badgirl780- no i didn't blow it dry just air dry. i do retwist every night before bed

  • how lonq did it take you to transition???

  • Thanks for the post! I am going to try this.

  • You and your hair is just absolutely gorgeous, but I want to dye my hair and I'm wondering if dying can cause hair breakage??? help me!!!

  • Comment removed

  • so that;s how u use those goody combs. thanks so much. I broke mines all up but now i have to get somemore to try it the way you did it.

  • Your hair is very pretty... It looks great. Can you tell me wjhere you can order the shea butter. I have no clue where to get it at. thanx

  • toytoy985... you can sometimes find that shea butter in the supermarket

  • love the color in your hair looks really great

  • Ooooh you push the comb forward...that makes so much sense....seriously, I was so on the slow bus in that regard. Thanx for that...and finally someone natural who still uses eco gel. That's the only one that will lay my hair down forreal.

  • it looked nice before the twist lol

  • I agree!!

  • My hair takes forever to slick down like that....I usually have to wait overnight to have it slick...is that the correct way? another question, is the eco gel hair safe (no acohol)? and if so where to buy?

  • bellabombT: Ecostyler gel can be found at a variety of places. Most get theirs from Sallys or Walmart. I have seen it at all the Korean owned beauty supply stores in my area. I have never used it so I am not sure about the alcohol content.

  • thank you so much!

  • Love this style and am going to try it with my hair as soon as it gets longer. Only had the BC a month ago so its stil pretty short but am lovin my natural hair

  • I love it! It lookz gr8! I think im gna go natural since i havent had a relaxer since nov 08...so wish me gud luck!

  • what color is the top part of your hair?!?

  • thats really pretty!

  • I love your hair!!! Did you ever have a relaxer? If not how did you start the process of going natural?

  • This is an absolutely beautiful style. I am definitely going to try this!!!
